The current Blue Lock: Rivals patch is the Rin Rework, live Saturday, August 22, 2026. It replaced his third base move and put his steal behind flow. More on the Blue Lock: Rivals hub.

What's new in the Rin Rework

Four things date it. Roblox's group-games endpoint stamps the last publish at 2026-08-22 17:36:25 UTC, with a second push at 19:00:23. The live experience is titled [RIN] Blue Lock: Rivals. The wiki's Updates table gained an 08/22/26 row in its live "Modern Era" list. And our sampler caught 38,638 concurrent on patch night against 21,518 the same hour a day before. The kit below comes from diffing that wiki page against its July 4 revision, its last before the patch.

Three changes alter how he plays. Predator Break, his old short dash, is gone; Dribble Zone replaces it, spawning three clones so you can commit late. Center of Gravity, a 45-second off-ball steal, left the base kit for the awakening and now fires only with flow active. And Destroyers Dribbles became Kill Shot, a straight power shot, as the awakening was renamed Destroyer with the old cutscene kept as a separate Secret Awakening.

What this means for players

Rin's steal moved and got a price. Putting Center of Gravity behind flow makes him the first style with a flow-gated move variant, and the wiki now lists having no base off-ball move as a weakness — a real hit to his neutral game; our tier list, best flows and beginner guide need re-checking. No game pass shipped with the patch.

As of August 25, 2026: a seven-day median concurrent count of 20,792 across 26 samples taken August 19–25, trough 11,216; 4.91 billion visits; 6,208,534 favourites; a 96.6% like ratio; 10-player servers.

Codes with this update

Every code we listed here on August 20 is dead: SAEREWORK, HALFBAKED, RINSOON and SAERRY4DELAY now sit in the expired list on both Beebom and Pocket Tactics — unrelated publishers, in different row orders: corroboration, not an echo. The Rin patch shipped a fresh batch; that live list is on our codes page, our method at how we verify codes. Two of the new ones double as patch notes: SORRY4DELAY!! and FIXESLATERTODAY. Updates land Saturdays at 16:00 UTC in August; this one published at 17:36 and needed a second push at 19:00.

• August 15 — Sae Rework. Perfect Pass became Divine Pass, Magical Turn became Celestial Destruction, and Beautiful Shot became Perfection Shot with no positioning requirement; awakened Sae gained Shoulder Push and lost Creative Dribble. His Air Awakening Variant is still a placeholder ten days on, so we still are not describing it.
• August 8 — Ness Rework; August 1 — World Tournament Part 4 (Finals); July 18 — QOL + New Awakening Bars; July 11 — NEL Shidou Rework.

What's next for Blue Lock: Rivals?

One item is confirmed — QOL and NEL 2.5, following June 20's NEL League 2.0 — but treat it as undated: the 08/22/26 beside it in the wiki's "Soon" table is a leftover cell from the Rin row, not a date for NEL 2.5. Bunny and Igaguri hold undated unvault-and-rework slots; nothing else is announced. Updates hit private servers first, on Saturdays.
