Blue Lock: Rivals Update [SAE] – Patch Notes & What's Next
The current Blue Lock: Rivals patch is the Sae Rework, live Saturday, August 15, 2026. Three of his four base moves were renamed, his awakening traded a dribble for a steal, and he became the first style to get an awakening variant. More on the Blue Lock: Rivals hub.
What's new in the Sae Rework
Three things date this patch to August 15. Roblox's group-games endpoint stamps the universe's last publish at 2026-08-15 17:56:20 UTC. The wiki's Updates table carries an 08/15/26 row, moved out of "Soon" into the live "Modern Era" table a day later. The experience is titled [🧠SAE] Blue Lock: Rivals. The player curve agrees: 42,328 concurrent at 19:30 UTC on August 15, double the 21,504 at the same hour a day earlier. Diffing the wiki's Sae page against its own August 1 revision gives this:

Off Balance survives untouched and Heel Flick now chains off Celestial Destruction. The bigger change is structural: Sae's page lists an Air Awakening Variant beside his Secret Awakening, the first awakening variant in the game. Its contents are blank, so we are not describing it.
What this means for players
Sae's second move changed job. Magical Turn shifted you round a defender and froze him; Celestial Destruction is a straight-line burst — better against a retreating back line, worse against a committed tackler. Our tier list and best flows pages need a re-check.
The shot got easier and probably weaker: Beautiful Shot demanded a body in front of you, Perfection Shot does not. Awakened Sae also trades a dribble for a steal — a nudge toward two-way play. His 0.25% Style-spin rate, one of ten World Class styles, is unchanged — see how to get flow.

What's next for Blue Lock: Rivals?
One dated item: the NEL Rin Rework, listed for 08/22/26. It beats a rumour because of how it got there — Rin sat in the wiki's undated "Confirmed" bucket until August 9, when an editor moved him to "Soon" with a date. August 22 is a Saturday, and Sae is Rin's brother.
Bunny and Igaguri have confirmed unvault-and-rework passes with no date. Nothing else is announced. Updates hit private servers before public ones, near 12:00 PM EST on Saturdays. Watch the Roblox game page or this log; we track Jujutsu Shenanigans the same way.

Checked August 20, 2026. Stats come from the Roblox games and votes endpoints for universe 6325068386 (root place 18668065416) and our own four-a-day sampler. Move names come from diffing the wiki's Sae page, not reading it — its overview still says "Sae has no variants" above the new row.
