Build a Base RNG Best Weapons (August 2026) — What Actually Wins Waves
Last checked: August 19, 2026
The best object in Build a Base RNG usually isn't the rarest one. A Galaxy mutation multiplies health 7x and damage about 6.9x, so a Galaxy roll on a mid-tier cannon beats a plain high-tier one outright. That multiplier is the only hard-sourced ranking axis this game has. Below is what the data actually supports, and an honest map of where it stops.
Table of Contents
Mutations Decide More Than Rarity Does
This is the one properly documented number in the game, and the reason a "best weapons" list built purely on rarity misleads. The community wiki's Mutations page gives flat multipliers and states outright that they're the same for all blocks and weapons. We read the page source on August 19, 2026.
| Mutation | Health | Damage | What that means in practice |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | 1x | 1x | Baseline. Every published stat you'll see quoted is a Normal roll. |
| Shiny | 3x | ~2.4x | Triples survivability. A Shiny Basic Cannon soaks more than a plain Stone Spear Barrel. |
| Galaxy | 7x | ~6.9x | Roughly a 7x object on both axes. This is the real top of the ladder. |
Run the arithmetic and the ranking falls out. Basic Cannon is 1 in 30 at 150 DPS; Axe Spinner is 1 in 200 at 225 DPS. A Galaxy Basic Cannon lands near 1,035 effective DPS, beating a plain Axe Spinner fourfold from an object seven times commoner.
Mutations aren't rolled blind. The wiki says you buy them from the Skills menu as you upgrade luck, and that's exactly what the two priciest relevant game passes sell. We pulled the Roblox game-passes API on August 19, 2026 and confirmed Galaxy Hunter at 640 Robux (created July 10, 2026) and Shiny Hunter at 330 Robux (created July 9, 2026), so the developer priced Galaxy at nearly double Shiny.
The Objects With Verified Stats
Eight defence objects on the wiki's Weapons page carry genuine individual stat lines; everything else there reuses one placeholder. Sorted by damage, checked August 19, 2026.
| Object | HP | DPS | Roll odds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Axe Spinner | 600 | 225 | 1 in 200 |
| Basic Cannon | 413 | 150 | 1 in 30 |
| Stone Mortar | 525 | 107 | 1 in 214 |
| Stone Spear Barrel | 600 | 50 | 1 in 43 |
| Catapult | 525 | 45 | 1 in 100 |
| Cross Bow | 188 | 38 | 1 in 15 |
| Wooden Mortar | 375 | 38 | Undocumented |
| Wooden Spear Barrel | 225 | 20 | Undocumented |
The level caveat, stated once, applies to every row above. HP and DPS scale with each object's index upgrade level, and no published figure states the level it was read at, so treat these as relative rankings rather than values you'll see on your own HUD. Proof it's real: a creator's on-screen index reads Wooden Tesla at 100 DPS with a "+9" upgrade, against the wiki's 38.
Basic Cannon is the standout. At 1 in 30 it's the cheapest object with genuinely high damage, beaten only by Axe Spinner at nearly seven times the rarity. If you're early and reading our Build a Base RNG hub for a plan, farming Basic Cannons and mutating them beats chasing anything long-odds.
The Rarest Objects by Roll Odds
Four more objects have verified odds published, but their stat lines don't survive scrutiny, so we give the odds only.
| Object | Roll odds | Stats |
|---|---|---|
| Robust Tesla | 1 in 2,600,000 | Undocumented |
| Witch Brew | 1 in 898,200 | Undocumented |
| Spike Shooter | 1 in 30,000 | Undocumented |
| Wooden Tesla | 1 in 1,500 | Undocumented |
Why "undocumented"? The wiki prints 375 HP and 38 DPS for all four, and 375/38 is Wooden Mortar's line, pasted alongside the Wooden Mortar image. Any site quoting 38 DPS for a 1-in-2.6-million Robust Tesla copied a template nobody filled in.
The roll banner that prints "1 in X" when an object drops is also not a base rate. Footage shows a common Mortar printing "1 in 2 million", so the on-screen figure folds in your active luck and probably your mutation roll. Compare banner numbers to each other at your own luck level, never to a published table.
Where the Data Runs Out
This is the section the sites competing for this search term won't write. A large chunk of the roster has no published odds and no real stats at all.
The wiki names four more objects with the same placeholder line and no odds at all: Minigun, two different Laser Cannons (distinct entries, distinct rarity colours), and Admin Block. An Admin Laser Cannon appears only as a category tag and a thumbnail, with no stat row anywhere. Footage shows more the wiki has never covered: Firework Mortar, Hyper Turret, Neon Spikes, Slime Cannon, Megaphone, Space, Metal and Rusty Spear Barrel and Mortar variants, blocks from Wood to Gold and Space, Traps, Metal Barricade, and Soda and Burger relics.
There is no named rarity ladder. The wiki encodes rarity as twelve distinct hex colours on each entry's card — grey, green, teal, purple, gold, crimson, bronze, violet and more — and never names a single one, which we confirmed by reading the raw page source on August 19, 2026. So when a site sells you an "S tier" holding "Glorious" or "Atomic" rarities, those names were invented rather than sourced.
A cluster of near-identical microsites publishes exactly that table and they contradict each other: one says no full item table exists while its stablemate publishes a detailed one, they render 1-in-X odds as garbled percentages, and one gives Basic Cannon 275 HP and 100 DPS against the wiki's 413 and 150. Treat any stat you can't trace to the wiki or to footage as unverified.
How to Actually Get Better Rolls
The best object is a mutated object and mutations unlock through luck upgrades, so luck is the real progression axis. These sources stack, all visible in game as of August 19, 2026.
- Join the Slungpy Games group for 2x luck. Free, permanent, shown on camera, and the best luck-per-effort move available. The group is the verified creator, ID 33723433.
- Push the Luck branch of the skill tree. It runs Luck I into Mega Luck into Ultra Luck, with Clover Chance and Friends Luck as separate nodes. We're not quoting coin prices — the figures circulating online aren't corroborated by any footage we could check.
- Fill out the Index. Completion percentage grants an Index Luck Multiplier, so duplicates still pay. The Index also holds per-object upgrade levels, which is what moves your real DPS.
- Use shop luck potions. Temporary, stackable with the above, bought with coins rather than Robux.
- Take the free throughput upgrades. Auto Roll, Fast Rolls, Roll Offline and Gold Rolls all raise rolls per hour, and more rolls at the same luck is more chances at a Galaxy.
There's also a Robux Server Luck ladder worth seeing before you climb it. Footage shows tiers of 2x, 4x, 8x, then 16x at 800 Robux, 32x at 1,500, 64x at 3,000, 256x at 12,000 and 512x at 25,000 Robux, with another tier listed at 51,000. Roblox doesn't expose developer products through any public API, so that's a read off the in-game panel rather than a confirmed price. The free group bonus gives you the first 2x for nothing.
Know what isn't sold. The full game-pass list on August 19, 2026 held six purchasable passes: VIP and Fast Rolls at 199 Robux, Shiny Hunter at 330, 2x Boss Drops at 480, Galaxy Hunter at 640 and Extra Roll at 699. There is no "2x Luck" pass and no "Revive" pass, despite guide sites describing both. Our Build a Base RNG Robux guide covers funding routes, and freebies live on our Build a Base RNG codes page.
Placement Beats Rarity
You can lose a run with good objects placed badly, and there's a hard cap — the Place More skill raises your limit from 40 to 70 to 145 slots. You can't build mid-wave either, so the layout you start with is the one you're stuck with.
The consensus from a creator running wave 282 is straightforward. Put mortars and long-range objects at the back or elevated so their range isn't wasted, cannons at the front, and stack blocks two deep in a 3x3 formation so zombies chew through two layers.
Everything funnels toward the heart, the base core that shows 100/100 HP. When it dies the run ends but you keep progression — there's no rebirth or prestige here, so a lost run costs only the wave. Bosses arrive at waves 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 and 130, all confirmed on camera, with the wave-20 boss listed at 5,000 damage.
One meta signal, attributed to a single creator rather than settled: on August 19, 2026 one creator reports Neon Spikes as the strongest placement, because turrets shoot through the blockade once enemies enter a Neon Spike's line of sight, and Air Troops target the Neon Spike first. One source, no published stats, so treat it as a lead to test.
Best Weapons Summary Table
Every object with any verified data, in one place. Nothing here is invented, and blank cells stay blank.
| Object | Roll odds | Verified stats | Notes |

| Stone Mortar | 1 in 214 | 525 HP / 107 DPS | Best verified long-range option. Place at the back. |
| Stone Spear Barrel | 1 in 43 | 600 HP / 50 DPS | Tied for highest verified HP. A wall that shoots. |

The Verdict
Chase mutations, not rarity. A Galaxy Basic Cannon is the best realistically obtainable defence object as of August 19, 2026 — roughly 2,891 effective HP and 1,035 effective DPS from a 1-in-30 roll. Take the free 2x group luck, push the Luck branch until mutations unlock, then farm commons and mutate them. The 1-in-2.6-million pulls are trophies, and nobody has published what they do.

Frequently Asked Questions
Whichever object you own that carries a Galaxy mutation. Per the wiki's Mutations page, Galaxy multiplies health 7x and damage roughly 6.9x on every block and weapon alike, so a Galaxy Basic Cannon out-damages a normal Axe Spinner despite being far commoner. Among plain objects with published numbers, Axe Spinner has the highest verified damage at 225 DPS, checked August 19, 2026.
No legitimate one exists. The community wiki encodes rarity purely as twelve different hex colours on each entry's card and never names a single tier. Any site publishing a named ladder with tiers such as Glorious or Atomic invented those names. We checked the wiki's Weapons page source directly on August 19, 2026 and confirmed there are no tier names in it at all.
Robust Tesla, at a published 1 in 2.6 million, is the longest verified odds on the wiki as of August 19, 2026. Witch Brew follows at 1 in 898,200, then Spike Shooter at 1 in 30,000 and Wooden Tesla at 1 in 1,500. Rarer objects such as the Minigun, the two Laser Cannons and the Admin Block exist in game, but nobody has published their odds.
The banner figure isn't a base drop rate. Footage shows an ordinary Mortar printing "1 in 2 million", so the on-screen number folds in your active luck multipliers and probably the mutation roll too. The wiki's published 1-in-X odds are a different measurement, so compare banner numbers only against each other at your own luck level.
It's the most defensible Robux purchase here, because Galaxy is a documented 7x health and roughly 6.9x damage on every object it lands on — a bigger swing than any rarity jump you can farm. We confirmed 640 Robux against the Roblox game-passes API on August 19, 2026, alongside Shiny Hunter at 330. Take the free 2x group luck first, since it costs nothing.
17,744 concurrent players when we pulled the Roblox games API on August 19, 2026, on 48,663,163 visits and 532,077 favourites, with 98.5% approval from 236,957 votes. Rolimon's records an all-time peak of 107,430 about two weeks earlier and a 7-day peak of 81,978 matching the August 15 update, so the game is well off its high. Servers hold six players; average session is 23.12 minutes. Check the live figure on the game's Roblox page.
