Updated August 17, 2026 — We re-checked every Lurking Giants code today. All three Backrooms-Update codes are still live, no new code has appeared.

Yes — Lurking Giants has three working codes as of August 17, 2026, and all three pay out free Coins. They arrived with the Backrooms Update, still the game's current version: the experience is literally titled "Lurking Giants [BACKROOMS UPDATE]" on Roblox today. The older milestone and apology codes have been rotated out.

Lurking Giants (place ID 6328880674) is a round-based analog-horror survival game — "there is something that lurks in the TV" — where one player becomes the Giant and the rest survive, in lobbies of up to 16. It is published by the verified Lurking Giants Group and made by the ULTRA works team.

About those Coin amounts: the code names are solid — four independently updated trackers list the same three. The payouts are shakier. Destructoid and Pocket Tactics both put BACKROOMS at 500 and 25MILVISITS at 750, so we use those; Game Rant lists all three at a flat 200, which reads like a template default. SORRYFORDELAYAGAIN splits the field two-to-two, so we show a range rather than pick a winner.

These no longer work — most were rotated out with the Backrooms Update. We keep the archive so you can see at a glance which ones are dead rather than re-typing them for an "invalid" error.

How to Redeem Lurking Giants Codes

The redeem box lives inside the in-game Shop. Follow these steps:

Launch Lurking Giants and wait in the lobby, or open the menu between rounds.
Click the Shop icon on the left side of the screen.
Scroll down to the Codes tab at the bottom of the Shop.
Paste a code into the "Enter a valid code here!" box (codes are case-sensitive).
Press the Check button (the tick icon) to claim your free Coins.

The box works from the lobby, so you don't have to survive a round to use it. Each code is single-use per account.

Case matters: copy and paste codes exactly as shown above rather than typing from memory, or the Check button will reject a perfectly valid code.

When Do New Lurking Giants Codes Drop?

The code names give away the release pattern. Two triggers account for every code this game has issued:

Visit milestones. 10MILVISITS and 25MILVISITS are both milestone drops. The game sits at 28,997,790 visits as of August 17, 2026, so a 30-million code is the obvious next one — weeks away at this pace, not months.
Update launches and apologies. BACKROOMS shipped with the Backrooms Update; SORRYFORDELAY, SORRYFORDELAYAGAIN and REDIESFAULT are compensation for a delayed release (REDIESFAULT being a joke at the expense of Redie_J, the developer ULTRA works is named for).

So the next realistic code window is the announced RECODE + MAPS EXPANDED event. The developers published it to Roblox on August 4, 2026 and were still editing the listing on August 17, 2026, but the date is deliberately left "to be decided." Their own description promises smoother performance, rebalancing, a bug-fix pass and new features, plus full remakes of the Backrooms and Legacy City maps — "a complete game rework/recode and may be our biggest event so far."

A new code will show up first in the ULTRA works Roblox community (329,479 members) or the official ULTRA works Discord (7,104 members, 1,225 online on August 17, 2026). What Else Boosts Your Coins in Lurking Giants

Codes are a one-off Coin boost. Two things stack with them:

The VIP pass is the only pass that compounds code Coins. Its listing grants +500 Coins, a 1.5× Coin multiplier and a [VIP] chat tag, so every Coin a code hands you is worth more afterwards.
Know which passes exist before you spend. We pulled the live list on August 17, 2026: only six of the game's sixteen passes are on sale — VIP, Fast Crate Open, 2x Giant Chance, 2x Voting Power, and the BIBBIDIBA and Bad Wolf emotes (Bad Wolf also grants 200 Coins). The other ten are retired and unbuyable.

Correction: an earlier version of this page recommended a "Powerful Flashlight" game pass. It does exist — spelled "Powerfull flashlight" — but Roblox's pass API shows it is not for sale as of August 17, 2026, so we've removed the recommendation.

Why Aren't My Lurking Giants Codes Working?

If the Check button keeps rejecting a code from this list, work through these in order:

Case-sensitivity. BACKROOMS works, "backrooms" does not. Copy and paste from the Active table instead of typing.
Hidden spaces. A stray space before or after the code — a common copy-paste artifact — breaks it.
Already redeemed. Each code is one-time per account, so it errors for you even while it's still active for everyone else.
The code expired. If you're trying SORRYFORDELAY, REDIESFAULT, 10MILVISITS or IMSOGULLIBLE, those are dead — no matter what a stale tracker still shows.
Server lag after an update. A brand-new code can take minutes to switch on everywhere. Rejoin a fresh server and retry.

How We Verified This List

On August 17, 2026 we confirmed identity by place ID (6328880674 still resolves to Lurking Giants, so this is no name-collision clone), pulled live stats, the pass list and the roadmap from Roblox's APIs, read the game description for codes (none), then cross-checked every tracker covering this game. Four agree on the active set — Pocket Tactics (August 16), allthings.how (August 11), Game Rant (August 8) and Destructoid (August 3) all list SORRYFORDELAYAGAIN, BACKROOMS and 25MILVISITS.

We ignored four others — worth saying why, because they rank too:

PCGamesN carries an "Updated: August 16, 2026" stamp but still lists only SORRYFORDELAY as working — a code everyone else expired weeks ago. A re-stamped date is not a re-check.
Try Hard Guides was published July 14, still tags SORRYFORDELAY and REDIESFAULT "NEW", and titles its page "[Verity]" — a feature the developers say in the current Roblox description was removed over copyright.
RoCodes claims it "checked for new Lurking Giants codes on August 17, 2026", then shows 10MILVISITS at a 0% success rate while also displaying "No active codes right now."
Beebom (August 5) calls 10MILVISITS the only working code. It isn't.
