2 Player Evolution Tycoon Beginner's Guide – Era Order, Rebirth Rules & Dropper Upgrades

By Money Lord — Founder & Editor | Updated: August 20, 2026

By the end of this guide you will know all six base eras in their true order, exactly what unlocks rebirth, which dropper upgrades to buy first, the point cost of the Modern gate, and every one of the nine game passes with its real Robux price. Nothing here is guessed.

What this guide covers

  1. Claim a plot and split the two jobs with your partner
  2. Build the production line before you touch a single decoration
  3. Evolve through all six eras in the correct order
  4. Unlock rebirth — it is not what you think it is
  5. Win the centre flag and stop losing yours
  6. Know exactly what the game sells for Robux

2 Player Evolution Tycoon is a co-op tycoon by Blackbox Tycoons (Roblox group 33933873, owner straphos, 33,277 members) — the group's only public experience. It launched July 9, 2026 and was last stamped as updated on August 18, 2026 at 19:29 UTC. As of August 20, 2026 at 08:11 UTC it holds a 7-day median of 14,390 concurrent players (27 radar samples, ranging 8,611 to 20,291) across 13,961,391 visits, with 55,805 favourites and a 90.7% approval rating (22,742 likes to 2,336 dislikes). Servers cap at 12 players — six teams of two.

1. Claim a Plot and Split the Two Jobs

Your plot is claimed by walking through a door, and this is the first thing new pairs get wrong: each partner has to walk through a different door on the same base. Two people crowding the same doorway ends up with one of you unclaimed and locked out of the buttons.

Once you are both in, divide the labour immediately. One player farms points at the base and buys the production buttons in order; the other handles the map — the centre flag and the fights around it. Trying to do both at once is why most pairs stall in the first base.

You cannot buy your way out of PvP. Roblox's API reports createVipServersAllowed: false for this universe as of August 20, 2026 — private servers are switched off. Every session is a live 12-player server, and we sampled 25 public servers on August 20 that were all sitting at 11 or 12 of 12. Plan around company, not around solitude.

2. Build the Production Line Before Anything Cosmetic

Points come from droppers feeding a conveyor into a collection chest next to your spawn. The buttons on a plot are a mix of production and pure decoration, they are priced similarly, and the game does not label which is which. Buy in this order:

Everything else on the plot — carpets, windows, lamps, pillars, seats, the staircase to the second floor — is either defensive or cosmetic. It still has to be bought eventually (see rebirth below), but buying it early is the classic beginner trap. Independent walkthrough footage from August 16 and 17, 2026 shows this same ordering in practice.

Use the question-mark button. The plot has an in-game hint marker that points directly at buttons you have not bought yet. It is the fastest way to find the one 10K decoration hiding behind a wall that is silently blocking your rebirth.

3. Evolve Through All Six Eras in the Correct Order

The Roblox description says the chain starts in the Caveman Era and ends "in a futuristic space world", but not what is in between. Roblox's badge endpoint does: the game awards a badge for each evolved base, and badge win rate — the share of players who ever earn it — lays the progression out in order.

BasePlayers who reach itAwarded in 24hBadge added
Caveman Era (start)Starting base
Greek Base 🏛️69.5%159,191Aug 15, 2026
Medieval Base 🏰37.0%84,838Jul 13, 2026
Modern Base 🌎21.2%48,644Jul 13, 2026
Sci-Fi Base 🛸9.3%21,296Jul 13, 2026
Cyberpunk Base 🚀3.7%8,565Aug 15, 2026

The win rates fall in a perfect staircase — 69.5% to 37.0% to 21.2% to 9.3% to 3.7% — and the 24-hour award counts do exactly the same. That is the signature of a linear funnel, and it fixes the order beyond argument. Greek Base is the first evolution, not a late one, and Cyberpunk Base is the current end of the chain. Only about 1 player in 27 ever reaches Cyberpunk.

Two of those badges — Greek and Cyberpunk — were created on August 15, 2026: the "two new bases" update. One was inserted near the start of the chain and one bolted onto the end, so a save from before that date gained a tier both ahead of it and behind it.

Do not read the cumulative totals as a ranking. Medieval has 2,196,185 lifetime awards against Greek's 634,600 purely because Medieval has existed since July 13 and Greek since August 15 — lifetime totals measure badge age, not difficulty.

The evolve cost is real money in points, not a token fee. Footage from August 17, 2026 shows the Modern Base upgrade priced at 4,000,000 points, with the player sitting on 1.3 million and having to idle for it. Budget for a wait at every tier, and make sure Auto Collect is already bought before you start saving for one.

4. Unlock Rebirth — It Is Not What You Think It Is

Rebirth here is not gated on a level, a rebirth count or a cash threshold. It is gated on completing your base. Every purchasable button on the plot has to be bought before the rebirth option becomes available — which is why players who have maxed their production line still find the option refusing to trigger. The missing button is almost always a cheap cosmetic one.

What you get for it: a walkthrough recorded on August 16, 2026 reads the rebirth panel as granting a permanent +20% income boost and +5 maximum health. The health half matters more than it sounds, because your survivability at the centre flag is what decides whether you hold it.

Finish the cheap buttons last, but finish them. Because the rebirth gate counts every button, rush production, evolve, then sweep up the cheap decoration buttons in one pass just before you rebirth — do not skip them permanently.

5. Win the Centre Flag and Stop Losing Yours

Points do not only come from your belt. There is a capture-the-flag objective in the middle of the map, and holding it is the largest single point swing available to a new pair. Three separate August 2026 recordings agree on three rules:

The most destructive thing in the game is the Nuke — the dev's own badge text calls it "so devastating that it can wipe out all of your enemies in one blow". It is genuinely rare: the Nuke badge has been awarded 79,730 times at a 1.3% win rate as of August 20, 2026, making it scarcer than reaching Cyberpunk Base.

6. Know Exactly What the Game Sells for Robux

On August 20, 2026 Roblox's game-pass endpoint returned exactly nine passes for this universe. We checked each one individually: all nine are isForSale: true and all nine belong to Blackbox Tycoons (group 33933873), the game's own creator. There are no developer products, so this is the complete Robux surface of the game.

Game PassPriceWhat it does
+25% Max Health99 R$Raises maximum health from 100 to 125
Thorn Armor99 R$Automatically damages anyone who attacks you
Regen Coil199 R$Tool that heals you quickly while held
Poison Attack229 R$Poisons targets on hit for damage over time
Speed Coil299 R$Tool that makes you very fast while held
Gravity Coil299 R$Tool that lets you jump four times higher
Crossbow299 R$Long-ranged weapon for attacking from a distance
Dual Illuminas499 R$Two agile swords
Dual Darkhearts1,199 R$Life-stealing dual swords — the most expensive pass

Read that table as a map of the flag fight: every pass except +25% Max Health is a combat item. The two cheapest at 99 R$ are the best beginner value — extra health and Thorn Armor both help you survive a contest you would otherwise lose, and neither requires you to out-aim anyone. The Crossbow at 299 R$ is the only ranged option in the list. Dual Darkhearts at 1,199 R$ is four times the price of a coil and is a want, not a need.

All nine passes were created on July 13, 2026, four days after launch, and none has been added since — so the monetisation has been static while the content has not.

Does 2 Player Evolution Tycoon Have Codes?

Yes — the game runs an active code system, and codes have dropped alongside the base updates through August 2026. We keep every verified code, its reward and the exact redemption steps on one page: see 2 Player Evolution Tycoon codes. Our how we verify codes page explains the standard each one must clear.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the order of the bases in 2 Player Evolution Tycoon?

Caveman Era → Greek Base → Medieval Base → Modern Base → Sci-Fi Base → Cyberpunk Base. The badge win rates Roblox publishes prove it: as of August 20, 2026, Greek is earned by 69.5% of players, Medieval 37.0%, Modern 21.2%, Sci-Fi 9.3% and Cyberpunk 3.7%. Greek and Cyberpunk were both added on August 15, 2026.

How do you rebirth in 2 Player Evolution Tycoon?

Rebirth is gated on finishing your base — every purchasable button on the plot must be bought before the option appears, which is why it stays greyed out for players who have maxed production but skipped decoration. Use the in-game question-mark button to find what you missed. Footage from August 16, 2026 shows rebirth granting a permanent +20% income boost and +5 maximum health.

Does 2 Player Evolution Tycoon have game passes?

Yes — exactly nine, all confirmed for sale under Blackbox Tycoons on August 20, 2026: +25% Max Health and Thorn Armor (99 R$), Regen Coil (199), Poison Attack (229), Speed Coil, Gravity Coil and Crossbow (299 each), Dual Illuminas (499) and Dual Darkhearts (1,199). The game sells no developer products, so that is the full Robux list.
