DOORS Update [The Archives] – Patch Notes & What's Next
· August 29 — covered The Archives Update (released August 28)
DOORS' current patch is The Archives, live since August 28, 2026. LSPLASH rebuilt The Rooms as an office subfloor, added seven entities and revamped three more. See our DOORS hub.
Current update: The Archives (August 28, 2026)
LSPLASH filed the event as "THE ARCHIVES UPDATE" on universe 2440500124, opening 18:00:03 UTC on August 28, 2026 and running to October 1. The build stamp moved at 21:58 UTC, and the store description now leads with it.
LSPLASH's event text is the only patch note: "THE ARCHIVES: WHERE FORGOTTEN MEMORIES GO. Explore a new subfloor full of never before seen entities, 10+ items, and new locations." It's a revamp of The Rooms, free through the Lobby: an office complex in cool blue that the team calls lore heavy and groundwork for Floor 3.
The entities
| Entity | Confirmed |
|---|---|
| Honcho | New — a cardboard-like employee |
| Drone | New — black shadows with sticky-note faces |
| Forget-Me-Not | New — a blue flower with an eye; blocks doors |
| Teller | New — wheels for legs, a ticket puncher for a hand, a screen face |
| Three unnamed | Described only: gray-white with clawed feet; TV-related; made of paper |
| Ransom, Bash, Scribbles | Revamps of A-90, A-60, A-120 |
Only four of the seven are named, so treat any seven-name list as guesswork. Our DOORS tier list holds the old Rooms damage numbers.
Items and badges
The "10+ items" are still being catalogued and the wiki flags its list as unconfirmed: Pizza, Pack Of Gween Soda, Mug, Waiting Ticket, Lunch Box, Paper Cup, Paper Plane, Fih Food. Only three have stated jobs: Lunch Box stores food, Paper Plane throws, Fih Food feeds the fih.
Badges are harder evidence. DOORS minted 25 badges on August 28, 2026, all between 00:21 and 00:28 UTC. At 05:00 UTC on August 29: Crowd Watching 813,420 awards, Carpet Burn 598,254, Who Am I? 1,050, Annihilation five. Two — REDACTED and Storage Wars — sat on zero.
What it changes for players
The big change costs nothing: every subfloor you've discovered is now permanently free, and the A-1000 achievement turns exclusive in exchange. LSPLASH added The Journal, new Hotel rooms and Admin Panel changes, and Grandfather Clocks make noise again. Dread now spawns after five minutes in one room, so camping is out.
Read the counts as a before and after. Across 27 radar samples from August 21–28, 2026, DOORS held a median of 22,207 concurrent players. After The Archives opened it read 67,130 at 01:30 UTC on August 29 and 53,099 at 05:04 UTC. As of August 29, 2026: 7,626,477,328 visits, 8,076,070 favourites, a 93.0% like ratio (4,627,007 to 349,750).
Are there any codes in this update?
No. No new code shipped with The Archives as of August 29, 2026. The 31 codes verified on our DOORS codes page on August 27 are unaffected: none added, none pulled (how we verify).
What's next for DOORS
One date, nothing more. A second event on universe 2440500124, titled "???", starts 18:00 UTC on September 18, 2026. Its description is also "???". Take the date and ignore anyone selling you the contents.
