Looking for KAT codes? Knife Ability Test (KAT) is one of the longest-running FPS knife combat games on Roblox, developed by Fierzaa. Every player spawns armed with a charged, arcing throwing knife and a hitscan gun, and fights to dominate the scoreboard. After being placed under review on August 1, 2025, KAT returned on March 19, 2026 — but at a median of 234 concurrent players on September 11, 2026, it returned far smaller than it left. This guide covers everything you need to know about codes in KAT, including how to use Music ID codes with the Radio Gamepass.

Here is the short answer: KAT does not currently have a traditional code redemption system. There is no text box or menu in the game where you can enter promotional codes for free knives, gems, or cosmetics. We re-checked the game's live Roblox record on September 11, 2026 — place 621129760, its description, and all sixteen of its game passes — and nothing in it is a code, a voucher or a redeem screen.

However, KAT does support Music ID codes through its Radio Gamepass feature. If you purchase the Radio Gamepass with Robux, you can enter Roblox audio asset IDs to play custom music during matches. All Active KAT Codes (September 2026)

KAT (Knife Ability Test) does not have a code redemption system as of September 11, 2026. The developer Fierzaa has never implemented a promotional code UI in the game. No active reward codes exist for KAT at this time.

While there are no traditional reward codes, the game does support Music ID codes through the Radio Gamepass. This is the closest thing to a code entry system in KAT. Players who own the Radio Gamepass can enter Roblox audio asset IDs to play custom background music during matches. These are not promotional codes that grant items, but they do give you a way to personalize your gameplay experience.

Music ID Codes for the KAT Radio Gamepass

If you own the Radio Gamepass you can type a Roblox audio asset ID into the radio player to set your own background music. We used to publish a table of six popular IDs here. On August 19, 2026 we checked every one of them against Roblox's own asset API (economy.roblox.com/v2/assets/{id}/details, which reports each asset's real type and name) and pulled the table, because it did not survive the check:

• 5493808495 is not audio at all — it is a Place (asset type 9), "fazeadonus's Place".
• 6761543647 is an image/decal (asset type 1) named "Eyy".
• 1846367872 is a SolidModel (asset type 39).
• 5765090459 is an image named "Black One Piece Swimsuit".
• 6459784989 does not resolve to any asset.
• 5410086218 is genuinely audio (asset type 3), but it is Monstercat's "Noisestorm — Crab Rave", not the "phonk mix" the old table claimed.

Pasting a Place or decal ID into a radio box does nothing, so those rows were worse than useless. Rather than replace them with another unverified list, here is the reliable method: find a track on the Roblox catalog, open its item page, and take the number from the URL. Before trusting it, check that Roblox reports it as an audio asset. Note also that Roblox's audio privacy policy means most older audio uploads no longer play inside other people's experiences at all — typically only audio owned by the game's creator, or tracks Roblox has licensed, will actually come through.

Phonk, lo-fi, and EDM tracks tend to be the most popular choices among KAT players because they match the fast-paced energy of knife combat. Experiment with different genres to find what fits your playstyle.

How to Use Music ID Codes in KAT

The Radio Gamepass is the only code-like feature in KAT. Here is exactly how to set it up and start playing custom music during your matches.

1. Open Roblox and launch KAT (Knife Ability Test) from the game page (Place ID: 621129760).
2. Open the in-game shop and purchase the Radio Gamepass with Robux. This is a one-time permanent unlock that carries over across all sessions.
3. Once the purchase is confirmed, join or start a match. You will see a radio icon appear on your screen.
4. Click the radio icon to open the music player interface. A text field will appear where you can enter a Roblox Audio Asset ID.
5. Paste or type a valid Music ID (such as the ones listed above) into the text field and press Play.
6. The selected track will play as background music during your match. You can change tracks at any time by entering a different Music ID.

The Radio Gamepass works in every KAT lobby and persists across sessions. Once you own it, you never need to purchase it again. The music you play is audible only to you and does not affect other players, so feel free to choose whatever tracks you enjoy without worrying about disrupting your lobby.

Why KAT Does Not Have Traditional Codes

Most popular Roblox games use a code system to reward players with free items, currency, or cosmetics. KAT takes a different approach. The developer Fierzaa designed the game around direct skill-based progression and in-game purchases rather than promotional code drops. Here is why this matters and what it means for your experience.

KAT rewards players through gameplay itself. Every kill earns gems — not coins, which is what most KAT write-ups say — and gems buy the game's eleven knife powers, which change how your thrown knife behaves. How many gems a kill pays depends on which power you have equipped: 2 with Ghost Knife or Explosive Knife, 1 with Laser or Noscope, and nothing at all with Deathbeam. The game also has a Robux shop where premium knives, effects, and gamepasses are available for direct purchase. Fierzaa monetizes through these transactions rather than using codes as a marketing or engagement tool. This is a common design choice among established Roblox games that have built steady audiences through gameplay quality rather than promotional mechanics.

KAT was under Roblox review from August 1, 2025 until March 19, 2026. It has not been republished since June 2, 2026 — the last updated stamp Roblox returns for the universe, unchanged when we re-read it on September 11, 2026 — so we have no dated evidence that a code system, or anything else, is being worked on. We will add codes here if that changes.

How to Get Free Knives in KAT Without Codes

Since KAT does not offer promotional codes, you need to rely on in-game methods to build your knife collection. These are the most effective strategies that experienced players use to earn items without spending Robux.

Earn Gems Through Kills

Gems come from kills, and the rate depends on your equipped knife power rather than on your kill count alone: a knife kill pays 2 gems with Ghost Knife or Explosive Knife, 1 with Laser or Noscope and nothing with Deathbeam, while a gun kill pays 1 gem in Classic. Deathbeam costs 6,000 gems and then zeroes your knife income, so if you are saving toward Hyperbeam at 15,000 the correct loadout is a weaker power that still pays two a kill. We do not publish a gems-per-hour figure: no source states one, and it depends entirely on your loadout.

Buy Explosive Knife First

Explosive Knife costs 100 gems and keeps the 2-gems-per-kill rate, which makes it the cheapest paid power and the one that funds everything above it. Ghost Knife and Laser unlock at levels 20 and 25 rather than costing gems.

Trade with Other Players

The KAT trading system is one of the most powerful tools for building your collection. If you pull a rare knife from a crate that does not match your playstyle, you can trade it with another player for something you actually want. Trading removes the randomness of crate drops from the equation and lets you target specific items directly. Join KAT trading communities on Discord and social media to find the best deals and connect with active traders.

Level Up to Unlock Powers

Two of the eleven knife powers are level unlocks rather than purchases: Ghost Knife at level 20 and Laser at level 25. Levelling is therefore worth something concrete. An earlier version of this page also promised daily login rewards and milestone reward tiers; we could not source either, so they have been removed rather than rewritten.

KAT Game Tips and Combat Strategies

Without codes to give you a head start, skill is the primary currency in KAT. These strategies will help you climb the leaderboard and earn gems at a faster rate.

Master Your Movement

KAT is a game where standing still means dying. The best players are constantly moving, jumping, and strafing to make themselves difficult targets. Use the environment to your advantage by jumping around corners, sliding behind cover, and using elevation changes to throw off opponents. Develop a habit of never running in a straight line when another player is within throwing range. Unpredictable movement is your strongest defensive tool.

Learn Every Knife Ability

The system to learn is knife powers, and there are eleven of them, not one per knife. A power changes how your thrown knife behaves: Ghost Knife passes through walls, Explosive Knife detonates on contact, Noscope leaves a brief crosshair visible through walls, Deathbeam passes through walls and players. Skins are separate and purely cosmetic. Knowing which power an opponent is throwing — several of them sound different — tells you what is coming at you.

Control Map Chokepoints

Every KAT map has high-traffic areas where players naturally converge. Learning these chokepoints and positioning yourself near them lets you catch opponents off guard. The knife is a charged, arcing projectile, so it wants open lanes; the gun is hitscan, so it wants sightlines. Map knowledge compounds over time, so pay attention to player flow patterns in each arena.

Practice Knife Throwing Accuracy

Many knives in KAT can be thrown at range, and landing a clean throw on a moving target is one of the most satisfying plays in the game. Spend time deliberately practicing ranged throws in every match. Aim slightly ahead of a moving target to account for travel time. Players who master knife throwing have a massive advantage because most opponents focus exclusively on melee combat and are caught off guard by a well-timed ranged attack.

Watch the Kill Feed

The kill feed in the top corner of your screen tells you who is killing whom and with what knife. Use this information to track which players are on kill streaks, what knives are being used, and where the action is concentrated on the map. If a player is dominating, consider targeting them specifically. Shutting down the lobby leader can shift the scoreboard in your favor and earns you more recognition among the other players.

All Expired KAT Codes

Fierzaa's KAT (place 621129760) has never had a redeem menu, so it has no expired codes of its own. Six real codes do exist for a different game — a 2025 recreation called "Knife Ability Test" at place 111163066268338, published by the Murder Mystery Franchise group, which had a level-50 redeem screen and which now returns a 302 to a Title-Unavailable URL. KAT Game History and Re-Release

KAT (Knife Ability Test) has been a staple of the Roblox combat genre since Fierzaa published it on January 21, 2017. It has accumulated 1,481,074,036 visits and 4,238,268 favourites as of September 11, 2026. Every player spawns with a knife and a gun, and the knife is a charged, arcing projectile that kills outright on a clean hit — not a pickup that one player holds.

In August 2025, KAT was placed under review by the Roblox platform. During the review period, the game was temporarily unavailable to players. This was a difficult time for the KAT community, as many players were unsure whether the game would return. Some moved to other combat games during this period, while dedicated fans waited for updates from the developer.

On March 19, 2026 KAT was re-released with knife skins, game passes, gem balances and player progress restored. The player base was not. On September 11, 2026 KAT read a median of 234 concurrent players worldwide across fourteen readings, ranging from 229 to 244 — nearly six months after the return. An earlier version of this page said the concurrent count had been "climbing steadily"; no live endpoint supports that, and the game has not been republished since June 2, 2026.

Some developers introduce code systems to boost engagement after a relaunch, so the post-review period would be a logical time for one. Fierzaa has announced nothing, and we have found no dated statement either way. We will update this page if that changes.

KAT vs. Similar Roblox Combat Games

KAT competes with several other popular combat and FPS games on Roblox. Understanding how it stacks up can help you decide whether KAT is the right fit for your playstyle.

KAT vs. Murder Mystery 2: Both games involve knives, but they play very differently. Murder Mystery 2 is a social deduction game where one player is the murderer. KAT is pure free-for-all combat where everyone fights simultaneously. MM2 has historically offered promotional codes, while KAT has never had them. Choose KAT if you want raw, fast-paced PvP action.
