A Dusty Trip just dropped two massive updates back to back. Update 6.52.1 landed on May 28, 2026, introducing a brand-new classes system with six playable classes that change how you approach every run. On top of that, Season 8 brought a fresh wave of content — a new fighter plane, multiple cars, a stack of new guns, wraps, charms, and a 35-level Season Pass with both free and premium tracks. If you haven't logged in recently, there's a lot to catch up on.
Before Season 8 even launched, the devs at Jandel's Road Trip pushed out Update 6.52.1 on May 28 with the headline feature being the new classes system. This is the first time A Dusty Trip has offered specialized roles, and it changes the dynamic of both solo and team runs in a meaningful way.
Here's how it works: before you step into one of the five portals in the lobby, you now select a class. Each class grants a set of passive perks that stay active for your entire run. You can't switch classes mid-run — once you've picked, you're locked in until your next trip. This means you'll want to think about what you're trying to accomplish before committing.
For solo players, the class choice is straightforward. Pick whatever matches your weakest area. If you're always running out of fuel, Scavenger helps. If your car keeps breaking down because you're pushing it too hard, Mechanic is the obvious pick. For teams, though, the class system adds a layer of coordination that wasn't there before. A four-player squad with a Mechanic, Medic, Gunner, and Scavenger covers most of the bases you'll need for a deep run.
Each class brings unique passive perks that affect your gameplay throughout the run. Here's a breakdown of all six.
| Class | Role Focus | Key Perks |
|---|---|---|
| Mechanic | Vehicle Repair | Faster repair speed, reduced part degradation, bonus vehicle durability |
| Medic | Healing & Support | Enhanced healing item effectiveness, passive health regen, revive teammates faster |
| Scavenger | Loot & Resources | Increased loot drops, better fuel efficiency, higher chance of finding rare items |
| Gunner | Combat | Increased weapon damage, faster reload speed, larger ammo capacity |
| Racer | Speed & Handling | Top speed boost, improved vehicle handling, reduced engine overheat rate |
| Explorer | Navigation | Extended minimap range, landmark visibility boost, increased discovery rewards |
Mechanic is the bread-and-butter class for anyone who's tired of pulling over every few kilometers to fix something. Faster repair speed means less time with the wrench and more time driving. The reduced part degradation is the sleeper perk here — your engine and tires last noticeably longer, which means fewer emergency stops and less resource drain overall.
Medic might not seem essential in a driving game, but anyone who's been mauled by wolves or caught in a sandstorm knows how fast your health can evaporate. The passive health regen is subtle but it adds up over long runs, and the faster teammate revive makes Medic nearly mandatory for serious team attempts.
Scavenger is the quality-of-life pick. More loot means more fuel cans, more repair parts, and more Bottle Caps per run. The better fuel efficiency alone makes this class worth considering for distance runs where every drop counts. Newer players who don't have a stacked garage yet will get the most value from Scavenger.
Gunner turns combat encounters from a resource drain into an opportunity. The damage boost and faster reload let you clear mutant camps and Airbase spawns with less ammo, which means you're spending less and keeping more. If you're farming weapons from combat zones, Gunner pays for itself quickly.
Racer is the class for players who already have a strong vehicle and just want to push further, faster. The top speed boost stacks with your engine's existing stats, so pairing Racer with a high-end engine like the V12 or Turbo creates some genuinely absurd speeds. The reduced overheat rate is the safety net that makes the speed boost practical rather than just flashy.
Explorer is underrated. The extended minimap range lets you spot landmarks, Airbases, and points of interest from much further away. For players chasing the rare spawns — like the Airbase or the scrapyard biome — Explorer makes those encounters less luck-dependent and more consistent.
It depends entirely on where you're at in the game and what you're trying to do.
If you're a newer player still learning the ropes, go Scavenger. The extra loot and fuel efficiency smooths out the early-game struggle where you're constantly running out of everything. You'll learn the map and the mechanics with more room for mistakes.
For solo distance runs, Mechanic is the safest pick. The reduced part degradation alone can be the difference between reaching 50,000 meters and breaking down at 35,000. You won't have teammates to cover for you if your engine dies mid-desert, so keeping your vehicle healthy is priority one.
For team play, the ideal four-player comp is Mechanic + Medic + Gunner + Scavenger. This covers vehicle maintenance, health management, combat, and resource gathering. Swap Scavenger for Racer if your team is already experienced and you'd rather push speed over safety.
Season 8 is the biggest seasonal content drop A Dusty Trip has had in months. The headline additions are the P-44 Talon fighter plane, two new cars (Striker RXT and Regal S), a full arsenal of new weapons, and a 35-level Season Pass with both free and paid tracks.
Everything new in Season 8 is locked behind some form of progression. You'll earn rewards through the Season Pass, quests, gacha, or gameplay milestones. Nothing is just handed to you, which means there's genuine grind to be done if you want the full collection.
Three new vehicles joined the roster in Season 8, and they cover very different use cases.
The P-44 Talon is a vintage fighter plane and the first flyable aircraft of its kind in A Dusty Trip. It's light, fast, and legitimately deadly. The Talon doesn't spawn in your garage, though. It only appears at the Airbase, a rare location that spawns randomly on the Desert Map.
When the Airbase does spawn, you'll spot it from a distance — two massive hangars called "Rust Bucket" sit next to a long runway crawling with mutants. Clear the mutants out and you'll find one plane inside each hangar. The Talon is a run-only vehicle, meaning you can't keep it between sessions. Every time you want to fly, you'll need to find another Airbase spawn.
The Talon handles differently from ground vehicles. You'll need a clean runway for takeoff, and managing altitude and speed simultaneously takes practice. But once you're airborne, you can cover enormous distances without worrying about terrain, obstacles, or ground-level threats. For distance runs, finding an Airbase and successfully taking off in the Talon is basically a shortcut to massive meter counts.
The Striker RXT is built for speed. It's got high top speed, strong acceleration, and decent durability — basically everything you want in a car when you're trying to cover ground quickly. The RXT is available as a Season Ace Pass reward, so you'll need the premium pass and enough XP to reach the level where it unlocks.
In practice, the Striker RXT slots in as a top-tier option for players who prioritize raw speed. It doesn't have the tankiness of heavier vehicles, so you'll still need to manage your engine temperature and avoid big crashes. Pair it with the Racer class for maximum speed output.
The Regal S is a 1930s-inspired classic that trades raw speed for style and smooth handling. It's the luxury pick of Season 8 — not the fastest, not the toughest, but it handles beautifully and looks sharp doing it. Like the Striker RXT, the Regal S is unlocked through the Ace Season Pass.
The Regal S won't replace your main distance-running vehicle, but it's a fun option for players who want something different. Its smooth handling makes it forgiving on rough terrain where twitchier cars might spin out.
Season 8 added seven new weapons to the game, ranging from practical sidearms to absolute power picks. Here's the full list.
| Weapon | Type | How to Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Uzi | Submachine Gun | Season Ace Pass reward |
| Burst Rifle | Assault Rifle | Season Pass / quests |
| Luger Pistol | Sidearm | Season Pass / quests |
| Ace Revolver | Sidearm | Season Pass / quests |
| Golden MGL | Grenade Launcher | Season Pass / gacha |
| Molten DB | Shotgun (double-barrel) | Season Pass / gacha |
| Galactic RPG | Rocket Launcher | Complete Ace Pass 5 times |
The Uzi is the standout practical weapon. Submachine guns fill a gap that A Dusty Trip didn't really have covered before — a fast-firing, low-recoil weapon that's effective at close-to-mid range. For clearing mutant camps, the Uzi chews through groups faster than most existing weapons.
The Golden MGL is an upgraded grenade launcher with faster reload speed and higher damage than the standard version. If you already liked the MGL, the Golden variant is a straight upgrade that makes crowd control even easier. It also has a visual flair that makes it obvious you're packing serious firepower.
The Molten DB is a flame-infused double-barrel shotgun. It hits hard at close range and applies a burn effect that chips away at enemy health after the initial hit. For Airbase runs where you're fighting through packed groups of mutants, the Molten DB is brutal.
Then there's the Galactic RPG. This cosmic-themed rocket launcher is the rarest weapon in Season 8. You unlock it by completing the entire Ace Season Pass five times — meaning you need to hit Level 35 on five separate pass completions. That's a serious time and Robux investment, but the Galactic RPG is the bragging-rights weapon of the season. It launches explosive rounds with a cosmic visual effect and deals massive area damage.
Season 8's pass system follows the same structure as previous seasons. There are two tracks: the free Season Pass and the premium Season Ace Pass.
The free Season Pass has 35 levels of rewards that any player can earn without spending Robux. Rewards include Dusty Coins, wraps, basic weapons, and other cosmetics. You earn XP by completing quests and playing normally — reaching the end of a run, fighting mutants, discovering landmarks, and completing daily challenges all contribute to your pass progress.
The Season Ace Pass costs 600 Robux and unlocks a parallel premium reward track alongside the free one. Ace Pass holders earn rewards on both tracks simultaneously, so you're effectively getting double the loot per level. The premium track is where the big-ticket items live: the Striker RXT, Regal S, Uzi, exclusive wraps, and premium charms.
If you're on the fence about buying the Ace Pass, consider how much you play. Casual players who log in once or twice a week might not reach Level 35 before the season ends, which means you'd be paying 600 Robux for a partial set of rewards. Active players who play daily will get their money's worth easily — especially if you're grinding toward the Galactic RPG, which requires five full completions.
Season 8 expanded the cosmetic side of A Dusty Trip with new charms and wraps.
Charms are small decorative items that hang from your vehicle's rearview mirror. They're purely cosmetic but they've quickly become a status symbol in the community. Season 8 introduced a new set of charms earnable through quests and Season Pass progression. Some charms are tied to specific milestones — like reaching a certain distance or clearing a set number of mutant camps — while others are pass-exclusive.
Wraps are vehicle skins that change the look of your car without affecting performance. Season 8 added several new wrap designs available through both the free and Ace Pass tracks. The Ace Pass wraps tend to be flashier with animated effects, while the free track wraps are solid but more understated.
Neither charms nor wraps affect gameplay, so don't feel pressured to grind for them unless you care about the visual customization. That said, some of the Season 8 charms and wraps are season-exclusive, meaning they won't be available after Season 8 ends. If you're a collector, that's worth keeping in mind.
Want the Season Ace Pass but don't want to spend your own Robux? Earnaldo lets you earn free Robux by completing simple tasks — no surveys, no sketchy downloads, just real rewards you can use in A Dusty Trip and other Roblox games.
Don't just default to the same class every run. Match your class to your goal. If you're doing a loot run to stock up on fuel and parts, go Scavenger. If you're pushing for a personal distance record, go Mechanic or Racer. If you're hunting the Airbase for a P-44 Talon, go Explorer to spot it from further away. Flexibility is the whole point of the class system.
The fastest XP loop is: complete daily quests, do a medium-distance run (20,000–30,000 meters), collect landmarks and fight any mutant camps you encounter, then extract. Repeat. You'll hit multiple XP sources per run without committing to a two-hour marathon. Shorter, more frequent runs beat one long grind session for pass XP.
The Airbase is a rare spawn on the Desert Map. You can't force it to appear, but you can improve your odds. Use the Explorer class for extended minimap range so you'll spot it from further away. Drive fast and cover as much ground as possible — the more of the map you see, the more likely you are to encounter the spawn. If you find the Airbase, bring a strong weapon (the Railgun works great) to clear the mutants guarding the hangars. Group the mutants up and hit them with area damage to save ammo.
If you're going for the Galactic RPG, you need five complete Ace Pass runs. That's five trips from Level 1 to Level 35. Start each new pass cycle as soon as the previous one completes, and don't skip daily quests. The daily quest XP adds up faster than anything else in the game. If you're playing consistently, you can complete a full pass in about two weeks of daily play.

If you've been playing A Dusty Trip for a while, the classes update is the bigger deal of the two. Season passes come and go, but the class system is a permanent addition that fundamentally changes how runs play out.
For solo players, classes are a straight buff. You're getting free passive bonuses just for selecting a role before your run. There's no downside. Pick the class that shores up your weakest area and enjoy the upgrade.
For teams, classes introduce actual coordination. Before this update, team play was mostly "everyone does everything." Now there's a reason to specialize. A squad where each player covers a different role can push deeper, fight harder, and waste fewer resources than a squad where everyone picked Racer because it sounds cool.
The Season 8 content is strong but temporary. If you're tight on Robux, evaluate how much you'll actually play this season before buying the Ace Pass. The Striker RXT and Regal S are nice, but they aren't must-haves unless you're a collector. The Galactic RPG is the only truly exclusive power item, and it requires such a heavy grind that most players won't realistically chase it.
Update 6.52.1 added six new classes to A Dusty Trip: Mechanic, Medic, Scavenger, Gunner, Racer, and Explorer. Each class provides unique passive perks that change how you approach runs. You select your class before entering a portal, and it stays locked for the duration of that run.
The P-44 Talon spawns at the Airbase, which appears randomly on the Desert Map. The Airbase has two large hangars called "Rust Bucket" and a runway filled with mutants. Clear out the mutants to access the planes inside each hangar. Note that the P-44 Talon can't be stored in your garage — it's only available during runs where the Airbase spawns.
The Season Ace Pass costs 600 Robux and unlocks premium rewards across all 35 levels, including the Striker RXT vehicle, Regal S car, Uzi weapon, exclusive wraps, and charms. The free Season Pass track is available to all players without spending Robux.
The Galactic RPG is unlocked by completing the entire Ace Season Pass five times. This is a long-term grind that requires purchasing the Ace Pass and earning enough XP through quests to reach Level 35 on five separate occasions. It's the rarest weapon reward in Season 8.
Season 8 added seven new weapons: the Uzi (submachine gun), Burst Rifle, Luger Pistol, Ace Revolver, Golden MGL (grenade launcher with faster reload), Molten DB (flame-infused double-barrel shotgun), and the Galactic RPG (cosmic rocket launcher earned through Ace Pass completion).
It depends on your playstyle. Mechanic is the most popular for solo runs because faster repairs save time and resources. Racer is strong if you already have a top-tier engine and want to push distance records. For team play, Medic is valuable because the healing boost keeps everyone alive longer. Scavenger is solid for newer players who need more loot to progress.
