Adopt Me Update March 2026 — Sugarfest Waffle Scuffle

By Earnaldo Team • March 22, 2026 • 8 min read

Sugarfest: Waffle Scuffle dropped on March 20, 2026, marking Week 2 of Adopt Me's 4-week Spring and Easter festival. Two new pets, two new minigames, and a heap of candy-themed cosmetics just hit the game. I've spent the past two days grinding both minigames, and here's everything you need to know about what changed, what it costs, and how to farm it all before the event wraps around April 10.

What's New in Sugarfest: Waffle Scuffle

Sugarfest 2026 launched on March 13 and runs for roughly 4 weeks through approximately April 10. The event is split into weekly phases, each introducing new pets and activities. Week 1 brought the initial Sugarfest framework. Week 2, called Waffle Scuffle, added two new pets and two competitive minigames on March 20.

Week 2 Pets

The headline additions this week are a pair of candy-inspired creatures that both require serious Candy Egg grinding.

Mochi MeowLegendary125,000 Candy Eggs (5 Mochi Mallets at 25,000 each)Mochi Mash minigame

The Waffle Wyrm is the more accessible of the two. At 80,000 Candy Eggs, it's a straight purchase from the Waffle Scuffle minigame earnings. The Mochi Meow is the real grind. You need 5 Mochi Mallets, each costing 25,000 Candy Eggs, totaling 125,000 Candy Eggs. That's the most expensive non-Robux pet in the entire Sugarfest lineup.

Week 1 Pets (Still Available)

If you haven't picked up the Week 1 pets yet, they're still in the shop. Here's what's been available since March 13.

New Minigames

Waffle Scuffle is the competitive multiplayer game that gives this update its name. You slide around on butter across a giant waffle board, trying to knock other players and Fruit Owls off the edges while grabbing Candy Eggs scattered across the surface. It's chaotic, it's fun, and it's the fastest way to stack up Candy Eggs in bulk.

Mochi Mash is a completely different vibe. It's a night-only stealth game where you sneak past Inspector Sherbet, a roaming NPC who patrols the area. Your goal is to use Mochi Mallets to hammer down 5 posts that free the Mochi Meow. Getting caught resets your progress for that round, so patience matters more than speed here.

New Items and Cosmetics

The Sugarfest shop expanded with a solid batch of cosmetics and one standout vehicle.

The Inspector Sherbet Bus at 95,000 Candy Eggs is the priciest item outside of pets. Unless you're going for full completion, I'd recommend skipping it and funneling those eggs toward the Mochi Meow instead.

How This Affects Gameplay

The Waffle Scuffle update shifts the meta for Sugarfest in a few key ways. First, there are now two reliable minigames for farming Candy Eggs, which means your hourly earning rate has effectively doubled compared to Week 1. Players who felt behind on the grind now have a real chance to catch up.

Second, the total cost to collect every pet and item in the event is steep. Between the Waffle Wyrm (80,000), Mochi Meow (125,000), Inspector Sherbet Bus (95,000), and all the smaller cosmetics and Week 1 pets, you're looking at well over 350,000 Candy Eggs for full completion. With roughly 3 weeks remaining, that works out to about 17,000 Candy Eggs per day if you're starting from scratch.

Third, the night-only restriction on Mochi Mash creates a natural bottleneck. You can't spam it endlessly. Smart players will alternate between Waffle Scuffle during the day cycle and Mochi Mash at night to maximize efficiency.

Important reminder: Once Sugarfest ends around April 10, all items in the Sugarfest tab convert to Candy Eggs. You'll have a 1-week grace period to spend any remaining currency before it disappears entirely.

New Codes

There are no active Adopt Me codes as of March 2026. The game rarely drops promo codes, and the Sugarfest update didn't come with any. I keep a regularly updated list on the Adopt Me codes page, so check back there if anything changes.

Updated Tips and Strategies

Candy Egg Farming

Waffle Scuffle is your bread and butter (pun intended) for raw Candy Egg accumulation. Each round takes about 3 to 4 minutes, and competitive players can pull 1,500 to 2,500 eggs per round depending on how many Fruit Owls they knock off. Focus on positioning near the edges where Fruit Owls spawn, but don't get too greedy or you'll slide off yourself.

Between rounds, check if it's nighttime in-game. If it is, switch to Mochi Mash to work toward your Mochi Mallets. If it's daytime, keep grinding Waffle Scuffle.

Mochi Meow Strategy

Mochi Mash rewards patience over aggression. Inspector Sherbet follows a predictable patrol pattern, and once you've memorized it, you can slip past consistently. The 5 posts are spread across the map, so plan your route before you start hammering. Getting caught at post 4 out of 5 is painful, and I speak from experience.

Each Mochi Mallet costs 25,000 Candy Eggs, and you need 5 of them. Don't buy them one at a time and wait between purchases. Instead, farm up as many Candy Eggs as you can through Waffle Scuffle, buy your mallets in bulk, and then run the Mochi Mash game 5 times in succession.

Prioritization Guide

If you can't get everything, here's how I'd rank the priorities. The Mochi Meow should be your top target because Legendary pets hold the most trade value after events end. The Waffle Wyrm is second since Ultra-Rares from limited events also trade well. The Cocoadile at 14,000 eggs is a bargain for collectors. Skip the Inspector Sherbet Bus unless you've already secured both pets.

Pro tip: If you're short on time, consider focusing exclusively on Candy Egg farming through Waffle Scuffle for the first few sessions. Stockpile 125,000 eggs before you even touch Mochi Mash so you can buy all 5 mallets at once and run the game back to back.

Community Reaction

The community response to Waffle Scuffle has been overwhelmingly positive so far. Players are calling the butter-sliding mechanic one of the most entertaining minigames Adopt Me has introduced in years. The physics feel satisfying, and the competitive element of knocking opponents off the waffle board adds genuine replay value beyond just farming eggs.

Mochi Mash has been more divisive. Some players love the stealth gameplay and the tension of sneaking past Inspector Sherbet. Others find the night-only restriction frustrating, especially on servers where the day-night cycle feels unbalanced. The 125,000 Candy Egg total for Mochi Meow has drawn mixed reactions too, with casual players feeling like the Legendary pet is out of reach without serious daily grinding.

On the trading front, early adopters who already have the Mochi Meow are fielding strong offers. It's shaping up to be one of the more sought-after event pets, partly because the grind keeps the supply low. If you're playing the long game on trade value, that's another reason to prioritize it now.
