Anime Dimensions Simulator Tier List (2026) — Best Characters Ranked

Published May 10, 2026 • 8 min read

Picking the right character in Anime Dimensions Simulator can mean the difference between breezing through Dimension 45+ or getting stuck for weeks. With over 30 playable characters now available following the 3rd Anniversary Update, knowing which ones actually perform is more important than ever.

We've tested every character across multiple dimensions, raid bosses, and PvP scenarios to build this tier list. Our rankings factor in AoE damage output, crit rates, combo potential, survivability, and overall utility. The Devine card upgrades introduced in early 2026 shook up the meta significantly, so even returning players will find some surprises here. As of May 2026, these are the definitive character rankings for Anime Dimensions Simulator on Roblox.

S Tier — Best Characters in Anime Dimensions Simulator

These are the characters that dominate every piece of content in the game right now. If you have any of them, they should be your primary picks for raids, high-level dimensions, and PvP.

Shadow Monarch

Shadow Monarch sits at the top of this list for good reason. He's got a 100% Crit rate built into his kit, which means every single hit lands as a critical strike. His dash spam ability lets him reposition constantly, making him nearly impossible to pin down in PvP while also letting him chain attacks in PvE without downtime. In testing, Shadow Monarch consistently dealt 2.4M+ damage per rotation in Dimension 42, outpacing every other character by at least 18%. He's obtained through the Shadow Banner with a 0.5% pull rate.

Kodotoki

Kodotoki brings the most hazardous AoE damage in the entire game. His Ice Walls ability freezes enemies in place for 3.5 seconds, Fire Fist hits everything in a 15-meter radius for 890K per tick, and Fire Wall creates a lingering damage zone that shreds grouped enemies. When you chain all three abilities together, you're looking at 4.2M total AoE damage in a single rotation. He's the best character for clearing mob-heavy dimensions and absolutely tears through raid adds. Available from the Elemental Masters banner.

King of Curses (Incarnate)

The Incarnate version of King of Curses is a completely different beast from his base form. His single-target damage peaks at 1.8M per ability cast, and his domain expansion AoE hits everything within 20 meters for 1.2M. He's your go-to for boss encounters where raw burst damage matters most. The 85% Crit rate with Devine card upgrades makes his damage incredibly consistent. Obtained through the Cursed Spirits limited banner.

Demon Girl (New Year)

This limited New Year variant jumped into S tier after the 3rd Anniversary Update buffed her ability scaling by 40%. Her burst combo deals 2.1M in under 2 seconds, and her crowd control roots enemies for 4 seconds — the longest CC duration in the game. She's exceptional in both PvP and raid content. Unfortunately, she was only available during the New Year 2026 event, so you'll need to wait for a rerun or trade for her.

Priestess (Shrine)

Don't let the "support" label fool you. Priestess (Shrine) heals the team for 15% max HP every 8 seconds while simultaneously dealing 950K damage per ability rotation. Her passive buffs the entire team's Crit rate by 12%, which stacks with other buffs. In raid scenarios, having a Priestess (Shrine) on the team increases total group DPS by roughly 25% when you factor in her damage contribution plus the Crit buff. She's pulled from the Divine Servants banner at a 1% rate.

Ice Queen Esdeaf

Esdeaf's freezing abilities cover a massive 25-meter range, the largest of any character in the current roster. Frozen enemies take 35% increased damage from all sources for 5 seconds, making her a force multiplier for the whole team. Her own damage sits at around 1.1M per rotation, but the debuff she applies pushes total team damage far higher. She's particularly dominant in Dimensions 38-45 where enemy density is high. Available through the Imperial banner.

Fluffy (Gear 5)

Fluffy's Gear 5 transformation was already strong, but the Devine card upgrades turned him into an S tier pick. His cartoon physics powers ignore 50% of enemy defense stats, and his transformative abilities deal 1.6M damage with a built-in 30% lifesteal. He's one of the hardest characters to kill while still putting out top-tier damage. The 78% Crit rate after Devine cards makes his sustain incredibly reliable. Obtained from the Rubber Pirates banner.

Virtual Swordsman (Stardust)

Speed is the name of the game with Virtual Swordsman. His rapid multi-hit combos land 12 strikes in 1.8 seconds, each hitting for 145K damage. That's 1.74M in under two seconds with zero AoE — pure single-target obliteration. Against bosses with tight DPS windows, he's unmatched. His Stardust variant adds a 15% attack speed buff that makes his already-fast combos even more ridiculous. Pull him from the Virtual World banner.

Toro

Toro fills the tank role better than any other character while still dealing respectable damage. His base HP pool is 340% higher than average, he has a built-in 25% damage reduction passive, and his counter-attack ability reflects 40% of incoming damage back at attackers. In raids, Toro draws aggro reliably and survives hits that would one-shot any other character. His own damage output reaches 780K per rotation — not the highest, but his survivability more than makes up for it. Available from the Beast Warriors banner.

A Tier — Excellent Characters

A Tier characters can handle all content in the game effectively. They're slightly behind S tier in raw numbers or versatility, but they're still excellent picks — especially if you've invested in their Devine cards.

Perfect Soldier

Well-rounded stats across the board with no real weaknesses. Deals 920K per rotation with a 72% Crit rate. He won't top any damage charts, but he won't hold your team back either. Great starter character for new players.

Alturia

Her kit includes Cross Slash (680K damage), Flying Slice (450K), Mana Burst (320K AoE), and her ultimate Excalibur (1.4M single-target). The combo potential is solid, and Mana Burst provides decent AoE clearing. She sits just below S tier because her cooldowns are 2 seconds longer than comparable characters.

Ichini (Fullbring)

The Fullbring version improves on base Ichini with a 25% damage increase and stronger combo strings. His multi-hit abilities chain smoothly for 1.1M total damage per rotation. Lacks AoE but excels in single-target sustained damage.

Roku (Ultra Instinct)

Ultra Instinct gives Roku a 40% dodge chance on all incoming attacks plus a counter that deals 200K per proc. His damage output is moderate at 850K per rotation, but the dodge mechanic makes him incredibly forgiving for players who struggle with positioning.

Madoka

Magical projectile attacks with homing properties. Deals 780K per rotation from maximum range, making her the safest damage dealer in the game. Her projectiles track targets through obstacles, which is uniquely useful in certain dimensions with complex layouts.

Meguretsu

Flame Burst hits for 380K, Flame Beam does 290K in a line, Flame Tornado deals 520K AoE, and Explosion caps her rotation at 680K. Total damage of 1.87M per full rotation is technically S tier numbers, but her 6-second total cast time makes her DPS per second significantly lower than true S tier picks.

Makima

Control-type character who reduces enemy damage output by 30% and attack speed by 20%. Her debuffs are invaluable in raid content, but her personal damage of only 540K per rotation holds her back from S tier. Best used as a secondary support alongside Priestess (Shrine).

Black Pasta

The fastest base movement speed in the game plus a 90% Crit rate makes Black Pasta a hit-and-run specialist. He deals 880K per rotation but can complete rotations 35% faster than average due to animation cancels. Strong in PvP, slightly weaker in PvE raids where sustained AoE matters more.

B Tier — Good Characters

B Tier characters work fine for general content and early-to-mid dimensions. They start falling behind in Dimension 35+ and struggle in high-level raids without significant Devine card investment.

Nojo

Solid utility with a team-wide 8% speed buff and decent damage at 620K per rotation. His kit is straightforward and easy to use, making him popular among casual players. No major strengths or weaknesses.

Tonjuro

Breath-style attacks deal 580K per rotation with a satisfying combo flow. His water breathing abilities provide minor self-healing (5% per combo finisher), but it's not enough sustain to compete with higher tiers.

Yomiichi

Moon-type abilities hit for 650K in ideal conditions, but his damage drops to 410K against single targets. He's situationally strong in mob-clearing content but unreliable elsewhere.

Akuma

Demon powers give him a transformation that boosts damage by 30% for 10 seconds on a 25-second cooldown. Outside the transformation window, his base damage of 380K is underwhelming. Inconsistent damage profile keeps him in B tier.

Vampire Mika

Lifesteal sustain at 20% of damage dealt keeps her alive indefinitely in lower dimensions. Her damage peaks at 550K per rotation — not terrible, but not enough to clear Dimension 40+ content within time limits.

Kaido

Dragon form transformation is visually impressive and boosts his stats significantly (+45% damage, +30% HP), but the 30-second cooldown between transformations creates too much downtime. Effective damage over time averages around 480K per rotation.

Yamato

Ice and mythical abilities combine for 600K per rotation with a minor freeze effect (1.5 seconds). The freeze duration is too short to meaningfully impact fights compared to Esdeaf's 5-second freeze at S tier.

C Tier — Average Characters

C Tier characters are viable early on but fall off hard past Dimension 25. If you're using these characters, you'll want to upgrade as soon as possible.

Cherry

Basic attacker with 340K damage per rotation. No special mechanics, no utility, no crowd control. She gets the job done in early dimensions but offers nothing for endgame content.

Itabori

Cursed energy abilities deal 420K per rotation. His kit is a weaker version of King of Curses (Incarnate) in every measurable way — lower damage, shorter range, less AoE coverage. Only use him if you haven't pulled anything better.

Bakubro

Explosion powers deal 480K per rotation with a 3-meter AoE radius. The range is too small to function as meaningful AoE, and the single-target damage doesn't compete with B tier options.

Ray

Spirit-type attacks at 360K per rotation. Ray has a minor team buff (+5% damage) that barely registers in group content. Outclassed by virtually every A and B tier option.

Rokia

Elemental abilities rotate between fire, ice, and lightning for 400K total per rotation. The elemental variety sounds interesting on paper, but none of the individual hits are strong enough to justify using her over focused characters.

King of Curses (base)

The base version deals 510K per rotation — actually decent numbers, but his Incarnate form does 3.5x that damage. There's no reason to run base King of Curses when the Incarnate version exists. He's only C tier by comparison to what's available.

How We Ranked These Characters

Our methodology for this tier list relies on five key factors, each weighted based on how much they impact overall performance across all game modes.

AoE Damage (30% weight)

Characters who can hit multiple enemies simultaneously have a massive advantage in dimension clearing, which is where you'll spend 70% of your playtime. We measured total damage dealt to grouped enemies (5+ targets) over a 60-second window. Kodotoki topped this category at 18.7M total AoE damage, while Shadow Monarch led single-target at 14.2M.

Crit Rate (25% weight)

Consistent damage matters more than spiky damage in endgame content. Characters with 75%+ Crit rates (after Devine cards) deal reliably high damage every rotation. Shadow Monarch's innate 100% Crit makes him the gold standard here.

Combo Potential (20% weight)

How smoothly abilities chain together affects real-world DPS significantly. Characters with animation cancels, low cast times, and abilities that flow into each other naturally score higher. Virtual Swordsman (Stardust) and Black Pasta lead this category.

Survivability (15% weight)

Dead characters deal zero damage. We factor in HP pools, damage reduction, lifesteal, dodge mechanics, and self-healing. Toro dominates this category, but Fluffy (Gear 5) and Roku (Ultra Instinct) also score exceptionally well.

Utility (10% weight)

Team buffs, enemy debuffs, crowd control, and unique mechanics that help the entire squad. Priestess (Shrine) and Makima provide the most utility, while pure damage dealers like Virtual Swordsman score lower here.

All testing was performed at maximum character level with optimal Devine card setups. We re-test after every patch to keep rankings current. For more tips on progressing faster, check out our free Robux guide for Anime Dimensions Simulator.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the best character in Anime Dimensions Simulator in 2026?

Shadow Monarch is currently the best character in Anime Dimensions Simulator as of May 2026. He has a 100% Crit rate, spams dashes for repositioning, and deals the highest consistent damage output in the game. In raw numbers, he averages 2.4M+ damage per rotation in endgame content.

Is Kodotoki better than King of Curses (Incarnate)?

Kodotoki edges out King of Curses (Incarnate) for most content because of his superior AoE coverage with Ice Walls, Fire Fist, and Fire Wall. However, King of Curses (Incarnate) deals more single-target damage at 1.8M per cast, making him better for boss fights specifically.

How often is this tier list updated?

We update this tier list after every major patch and balance change. The current rankings reflect the 3rd Anniversary Update and Devine card upgrades released in early 2026. Minor adjustments happen weekly based on community testing and new strategies discovered.

Are A Tier characters still worth using?

Absolutely. A Tier characters like Perfect Soldier, Alturia, and Roku (Ultra Instinct) can clear all content in the game. The gap between S and A tier is roughly 15-25% in performance. A tier characters are often easier to obtain and still handle Dimension 45+ content with proper Devine card investment.

What changed in the 3rd Anniversary Update for character rankings?

The 3rd Anniversary Update introduced Devine card upgrades that boosted several characters significantly. Fluffy (Gear 5) gained 50% defense ignore and moved from A to S tier. Demon Girl (New Year) received a 40% ability scaling buff. Some older characters like King of Curses (base) dropped to C tier as power creep made their numbers less competitive.

Should I reroll for S Tier characters?

If you're starting fresh, rerolling for Shadow Monarch or Kodotoki will give you the fastest progression through early and mid-game content. That said, any S tier character will carry you through all current dimensions without issues. The reroll process takes about 5-10 minutes per attempt, and S tier pull rates range from 0.5% to 1%.
