Booga Booga Reborn drops you onto a prehistoric island with a rock in your hand and nothing else, and the first thing most new players do is get chased off a beach and lose everything. That's normal. This is a survival crafting game about gathering resources, climbing a gear ladder, and eventually Rebirthing for permanent power — and once the loop clicks, it's hard to put down.

Your First 30 Minutes

You spawn with a Starter Rock and an empty bag holding about 50 slots. Don't wander yet. The single most important early action is to walk up to a tree and hit it with your rock to collect Wood, Logs, and Sticks. Wood is the foundation of everything you craft in the opening minutes.

As soon as you have a Log and a Stick, open your crafting menu and make a Wood Pickaxe (1 Log + 1 Stick). That pickaxe lets you mine Stone and Coal, which unlocks stone tools, torches, and your first real upgrades. Craft a Wood Axe too so wood gathering speeds up.

Levels 1 to 15 come naturally just from gathering and breaking things. Hunger and Food

You start with 100 food, and it drains by about 1 point every 10 seconds — roughly 16 and a half minutes to empty. When food hits zero, you lose 1 HP per second until you eat. Keep something edible on you at all times. Cooked Meat is the easy default, restoring +35 food and healing you. Later, the Survivalist Mojo perk slows the drain to 1 point every 20 seconds, nearly doubling how long a meal lasts.

Death and Banking

Death is the mechanic that punishes careless play hardest. When you die, your crafted items — armor and tools — are lost and drop a portion of the resources used to make them. What you keep is your Bags, Materials Bags, Bolts, and Arrows. You can sprint back to your death spot to recover the dropped items, but only if they haven't despawned or been looted by another player first.

Because of that, banking is a survival skill. Craft a Chest, hide it in a cave or at your tribe base, and stash anything valuable inside before you go fight or explore. Handing items to a trusted tribemate or a friended alt account works too. Never carry your entire net worth into a risky area.

Tribes and Alliances

To create a tribe, pick an unused color and press MAKE TRIBE. As chief you can invite members and send ally requests to other tribes. Allied tribes cannot damage each other's members, which makes early survival far easier — but note that allies still can't build on land claimed by another tribe's totem. Playing with even one or two other people massively speeds up your progression and gives you people to bank items with.

The Armor Tier Ladder

Rebirth and Mojo

The endgame is Rebirth, which unlocks at max level 100 in the Mojo tab. Rebirthing resets you to level 1 and wipes everything except your Coins, Hats, and Mojo. In exchange, each rebirth grants 1 Mojo Point (2 with the Double Mojo gamepass) that you spend in the Mojo Shop on permanent upgrades — including the God Rock recipe and the Survivalist perk. Fully unlocking the Mojo Shop takes 31 rebirths normally, or 16 with Double Mojo.

10 Beginner Mistakes to Avoid

The same errors show up over and over in new players. Fix these and you'll survive far longer than most of the beach.

1. Rebirthing without banking first. Rebirth wipes your inventory. Chest your gear or hand it to a tribemate before you ever press the button, or you'll delete everything you own for one Mojo Point.
2. Crafting armor before the bag. Armor is lost on death; bags survive. When you unlock a new tier, make the bag first so death costs you less.
3. Landing on crowded islands with weak gear. Popular islands are full of geared players who will chase and farm you. Set up on an empty island until you're at least Iron or Steel.
4. Ignoring the food bar. Hunger drains constantly and starts eating your HP at zero. Always keep Cooked Meat on you and top up before it gets low.
5. Carrying everything at once. Walking around with your whole stockpile means one death wipes you out. Bank the bulk in a hidden Chest and only carry what a fight needs.
6. Picking fights out of your league. A level-10 in Hide armor attacking a level-91 in Emerald is just donating loot. Engage players near your own gear and level.
7. Attacking level-1 spawns. Farming new players gets you nothing and paints a target on you. Spend that time gathering the next material tier instead.
8. Running high-risk resource routes too early. Deep caves and underwater Adurite spots will kill an under-geared player. Stick to safer routes until you have full Adurite or better.
9. Playing completely solo. A one-person tribe has no allies and no one to bank with. Even a small tribe with an alliance makes the early game dramatically safer.
10. Rebirthing the second you hit 100. Bank Coins and materials first so you can re-gear immediately after the reset, instead of restarting from a bare Starter Rock while Gods roam the map.

Best Starter Strategy

Here's the exact plan I'd run for your first few sessions. It's boring on purpose — boring is what keeps your gear.

Step 1: Tool Up at Spawn (First 10 Minutes)

Punch trees for Wood, craft a Wood Pickaxe and Axe, then mine Stone and Coal. Make a Torch from Coal so you can see in caves. Get a bag crafted before anything else. You want to leave the starting area already carrying tools, not a bare rock.

Step 2: Raft to an Empty Island

Build a raft and sail to an unoccupied island. This is your base. Drop a Chest somewhere out of sight — a cave corner is ideal — and start banking spare materials in it. A hidden Chest is the single best insurance policy in the game.

Step 3: Climb the Material Ladder

Work up from Stone to Gold to Adurite, crafting the matching armor and tools as you go. Level to 100 by breaking high-XP objects like the Ancient Tree (drops 100 essence orbs per full mine) once you're geared enough to reach it safely. Before you Rebirth, bank Coins and materials so you can immediately craft gear on the other side. Then spend your Mojo on the upgrades that matter most — the God Rock recipe and Survivalist are top priorities. When to Spend Robux (and When Not To)

What's Worth It

If you know you'll grind rebirths, Double Mojo is the one purchase with real long-term value — it gives 2 Mojo per rebirth instead of 1, cutting the grind to fully unlock the Mojo Shop from 31 rebirths down to 16. What's Not Worth It (Yet)
