Dandy's World v0.17.1 launched on March 20, 2026, bringing back the Easter Event with all four returning Easter toons, two new Easter floor variants, 13 new skins, the Spring Fever floor event, Golden Skin quests, and meaningful ability buffs to Eggson and Cocoa. The event runs through April 24, giving you 35 days to collect everything. Here's the full breakdown of what changed, what it costs, and how to make the most of it.
BlushCrunch Studio opted for depth over expansion with this year's Easter Event. Rather than flooding the roster with new toons, they focused on improving the existing Easter lineup and adding new gameplay layers through the Spring Fever floor event and Golden Skin quest system.
The same four Easter toons from previous events are back: Eggson, Flyte, Cocoa, and Bassie. No new toons were added to the Easter roster this year, but two of the four received significant ability buffs that change how they play.
| Toon | Role | Changes in v0.17.1 |
|---|---|---|
| Eggson | Machine Specialist | Fixer Upper doubled: 10% to 20% completion |
| Cocoa | Crowd Control | Bonbon duration: 5s to 10s |
| Flyte | Speed / Scout | No direct changes |
| Bassie | Support / Stamina | Trinket reworked (see below) |
Eggson's Fixer Upper was the biggest winner this patch. The ability now grants 20% machine completion on your first interaction per floor, doubled from the previous 10%. That's a massive quality-of-life improvement. On early floors, a single Eggson interaction can knock out a fifth of a machine's progress instantly, speeding up floor clears significantly.
Cocoa's Bonbon duration jumped from 5 seconds to 10 seconds. That extra 5 seconds of crowd control is more impactful than it sounds. It means you can lock down a Twisted creature for long enough to complete a machine interaction or reposition your entire team. In higher floors where every second counts, this buff makes Cocoa a much stronger pick.
Bassie's Whispering Flower Trinket was reworked entirely. It now grants +15% stamina regeneration for every item in your inventory, stacking up to +60% at full capacity (4 items). This turns Bassie into a stamina engine during runs where you're holding onto items for later use. The more you carry, the faster you regenerate, which synergizes well with longer floor sequences.
Two new Easter floor variants have been added to the rotation. These floors have a 50% chance to spawn at Floors 5, 10, 15, and 20, replacing the standard floor layout with Easter-themed environments. The floor variants feature different machine layouts and spawn patterns than their standard counterparts, so even experienced players will need to adapt their pathing.
The Spring Fever floor event is the standout new mechanic in v0.17.1. When it triggers, the entire floor fills with purple fog that severely limits visibility. But the fog isn't the only thing happening.
Here's the full breakdown of Spring Fever's effects:
| Effect | Target | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Energized 3 | Everyone (Toons + Twisteds) | +50% movement speed |
| Tired 2 | Toons only | Faster stamina drain |
| Reduced Attention | Twisteds only | Shorter aggro window |
| Purple Fog | Everyone | Severely reduced visibility |
The dynamic is interesting. Everyone moves 50% faster, but you're burning stamina quicker and you can't see very far. Twisted creatures are faster too, but they lose interest in you sooner. The result is a floor that feels frantic and disorienting. You're constantly sprinting, constantly running low on stamina, and constantly losing track of threats in the fog.
Spring Fever has a 5% chance to activate after Floor 3, and that chance increases by 2% per floor, capping at 30%. So you won't see it on early floors very often, but by Floor 17 and above, nearly a third of your floors will trigger Spring Fever. Plan accordingly.
Each Easter toon has three Holiday Quests. Completing all three quests for a specific toon rewards their exclusive Golden Skin. These are particle-enhanced cosmetics that can only be earned through quest completion during the event.
The quest rollout is split into two parts. Eggson and Flyte's quests are available now in Part 1 (launched March 20). Bassie and Cocoa's quests unlock in Part 2, which arrives in a later update before the event ends on April 24.
The 13 new skins also include options available through a daily login calendar, which offers exclusive particle-enhanced skins for consistent players. Make sure you're logging in daily even if you don't have time for a full session, because missing login days means missing skins permanently.
Two Twisted creatures received significant reworks that change how you need to deal with them.
Twisted Bassie now deploys vines that actively slow Toons before attacking. Previously, Twisted Bassie was primarily a zoning threat that you could avoid with good positioning. Now, the vine mechanic turns her into an ambush predator. The vines create a slow field that you need to navigate around, and getting caught in them while Twisted Bassie is closing in is often a death sentence.
Twisted Cocoa can now hop over obstacles across all maps. This is a big deal. Previously, you could use terrain and obstacles as safety barriers to break line of sight and force Twisted Cocoa into longer paths. That safety net is gone. Twisted Cocoa can now clear obstacles and close distance through terrain that used to be reliable cover. You'll need to rely more on raw speed and stamina to escape rather than map geometry.

The v0.17.1 update shifts the meta in several meaningful ways. Eggson's doubled Fixer Upper makes him the strongest machine specialist by a wider margin. If you weren't running Eggson before, you should be now. A 20% head start on every first machine interaction per floor adds up fast, especially on higher floors where machine completion is the bottleneck.
Cocoa's extended Bonbon duration makes her a more reliable crowd-control option in team compositions. Ten seconds is enough time to complete most machine interactions, which means Cocoa can effectively guarantee safe machine completions if she times her Bonbon correctly.
The Twisted reworks force you to adjust your movement patterns. Twisted Cocoa's obstacle hopping means you can't rely on the same safe spots you've been using. You need to keep moving and maintain stamina reserves for emergency sprints. Twisted Bassie's vine mechanic adds a new layer of awareness, since you need to watch the ground for vine deployments while also tracking her position.
Spring Fever fundamentally changes how higher floors play. The 50% speed boost sounds like a buff, but combined with Tired 2's stamina drain and reduced visibility, it actually makes floors harder. You're faster, but you're also burning resources faster and making decisions with less information. Teams that communicate well and have strong stamina management will thrive. Solo players may struggle.
The strongest team comp for the Easter Event centers around Eggson for machine rushing and Cocoa for crowd control. Eggson's 20% Fixer Upper means your team can blow through machines faster on every floor. Pair him with Cocoa's 10-second Bonbon to lock down Twisted creatures during critical machine interactions.
For the third and fourth slots, consider Bassie for stamina sustain (especially on Spring Fever floors) and Flyte for scouting and speed. Bassie's reworked trinket is a natural counter to the Tired 2 debuff, and Flyte's mobility helps the team identify threats in the purple fog.
When Spring Fever triggers, immediately shift your mindset. Don't sprint constantly just because you can. The Energized 3 buff makes sprinting tempting, but Tired 2 will drain your stamina bar far faster than normal. Use short bursts of speed to move between machines, and walk during safe moments to let stamina regenerate.
The reduced visibility cuts both ways. You can't see Twisteds as easily, but their reduced attention span means they'll lose interest faster. If you do get spotted, sprinting away for 3 to 4 seconds is often enough to break aggro during Spring Fever.
The full event requires approximately 10,300 Baskets and 2,500 Ichor to complete everything. With 35 days to work with, that's roughly 295 Baskets and 72 Ichor per day. Prioritize Golden Skin quests first since those are time-gated by the Part 1 and Part 2 schedule. Skins from the daily login calendar are free but require consistency.
The community response to v0.17.1 has been largely positive, though with some pointed criticism. The Eggson and Cocoa buffs are universally well-received. Players have been asking for Eggson's Fixer Upper to be more impactful for months, and doubling it to 20% feels like the right call. Cocoa's extended Bonbon makes her feel genuinely useful rather than niche.
Spring Fever is the most polarizing addition. Players who enjoy high-pressure gameplay love the chaotic pacing and reduced visibility. Others find the Tired 2 debuff punishing, especially on higher floors where stamina was already tight. The progressive spawn chance (5% base, capping at 30%) is seen as fair, since it mostly affects later floors where experienced players are already expecting challenges.
The Twisted reworks, particularly Twisted Cocoa's obstacle hopping, have generated the most frustration. Some players feel that removing terrain-based safety zones takes away a skill-based survival mechanic. Others argue that it was always a crutch and that the game should reward movement skill over memorized safe spots.
The decision not to add new Easter toons has been met with mixed feelings. Some players wanted fresh characters to collect, while others appreciate that the developers focused on making the existing toons more interesting and viable.
