Death Ball How to Get Gems Fast (2026) — Every Method Ranked
The fastest Gem income in Death Ball isn't a match — it's the AFK World, which pays 200 Gems every 2 minutes. That's 6,000 an hour and 144,000 across a full day, with zero input. Matches, login streaks, codes and Gemtoki all stack on top. Here's every Gem source ranked by what it genuinely pays.
Table of Contents
Death Ball held 15,460 concurrent players across 1,596,872,727 lifetime visits as of August 16, 2026. One thing to clear up first: Crystals replaced Gems in the May 2025 update, but the "OG" update of September 20, 2025 restored the original earning methods, and by April 2026 Gems were the main currency again. If a guide prices champions in Crystals, it's describing the 2025 build.
1. AFK World — 6,000 Gems Per Hour
The AFK World is a separate lobby you enter from the gamemodes menu, and it pays a flat 200 Gems every 2 minutes for simply existing there. That's 6,000 an hour, 72,000 over 12 hours and 144,000 over a full 24. Nothing else in the game gets near that per hour of wall-clock time.
Worked example: idle for three hours and you come back to 18,000 Gems. Twenty minutes more clears the 20,000-Gem price of Foxuro, Koju, Senshu, Jiro, Torokai, Keilo or Kameki without playing a round.
2. Daily Login Rewards — 116,250 a Month
Daily rewards are the best Gems-per-second source in the game and cost about thirty seconds. The streak starts at 250 Gems on day 1 and climbs by 250 every day, so day 10 pays 2,500, day 20 pays 5,000, and day 30 pays 7,500. The clock resets at 7:00 PM EST.
A clean 30-day streak is worth 116,250 Gems, which funds an entire 100,000-Gem champion on its own. The only rule is not breaking the chain, because the escalating tail is where the value sits.
3. Playing Matches (and Why Pro Mode Doubles It)
Playing pays on three triggers: hitting an opponent, killing them, and winning the round. The community wiki documents these at 50 Gems per damaging hit, 200 per kill, and 800 for a match win. Those figures date from the original build, so treat them as the shape of the reward rather than a guarantee — a player note on the same wiki puts a typical match nearer 700 Gems total.
On those rates, a 10-kill win is 2,800 Gems before any damage ticks that didn't finish a player. Kills pay four times what a chip hit does, so playing for the finish beats spraying the ball around.
Then there's Pro mode, the biggest multiplier a free player has. It's a faster-ball lobby unlocked at 15 wins, and it pays 2x Gems — that same 10-kill win becomes 5,600. The lobbies are harder, so it only works if your deflect timing holds up. Our Death Ball tier list covers which champions survive that pace, so this guide won't re-rank them.
4. Codes — The Biggest One-Time Payouts
No grind matches a good code drop. Individual Death Ball codes have paid 15,000 to 50,000 Gems in a single redemption — several hours of AFK farming in one click. Redeem them from the settings cog at the top left, then "Codes".
Two limits catch people out: codes are case-sensitive, and your Roblox account must be over 30 days old before the redeem box accepts anything. Newer drops have leaned toward Crystals and Crimson Orbs rather than Gems, so check what a code actually pays — the verified list lives on our Death Ball codes page.
5. The Trading Lobby and Boss Events
Selling swords in the Trading Lobby is the only Gem source with no ceiling. Community values run from roughly 40–100 Gems for commons up to 10,000–100,000-plus for godlys, with mythicals anywhere from 50,000 to 10 million. Gem requests inside a trade have no cap, which is why one mythical flip can outperform a week of farming.
Limited-time bosses are the other lumpy source. The Korblox Deathspeaker, live for 15 days from March 15 to 30, 2024 as part of The Hunt, paid 22,500 Gems for a clear. Show up for those, but don't plan around them.
Do the Gem Fruits Actually Pay Off?
The Double Gem Fruit costs 2,000 Gems and doubles Gem earnings for 20 minutes. It's the cheapest fruit in the game and the only Gem multiplier currently listed, alongside Double XP at 3,000 Gems and Double Luck at 5,000.
Here's the part nobody mentions. Twenty minutes in the AFK World earns exactly 2,000 Gems, so doubling it nets 2,000 extra — precisely what the fruit cost. It breaks even to the Gem. The fruit only profits in modes that beat that baseline, which means Pro matches: that 5,600-Gem ten-kill win becomes 11,200 Gems, and 20 minutes fits two or three rounds.
The Triple Gems Fruit older guides mention existed in the earlier build, but it isn't in the current fruit list — the only Robux fruits documented now are Triple XP and Triple Luck, both 199 Robux for five. Treat any triple-Gem multiplier as legacy until you see it in your own shop.
Is Gemtoki Worth 499 Robux?
Gemtoki is the one champion you can't buy with Gems. The Gem Toki game pass was live at 499 Robux when we checked the Roblox store on August 16, 2026, on sale since November 17, 2023. He's built purely for farming and gives no combat advantage.
Gem Hunt spawns 10 fake gems worth 300 each — 3,000 fake Gems per sweep on a 50-second cooldown, with a short speed boost while you collect. Cash Out converts them to real Gems once per game. Donate scatters them to the other living players instead, which is a gift, not income.
Skip Double or Nothing. It's a 20/80 gamble: one-in-five to double your fake Gems, four-in-five to lose the lot. That's an expected return of roughly 0.4x, so pressing it turns a reliable 3,000 into an average of 1,200.
Now the break-even. At the best Robux-to-Gem rate, 499 Robux buys roughly 71,000 Gems outright. At about 3,000 extra Gems per clean Cash Out, Gemtoki needs around 24 solid matches to match what a Gem pack hands you instantly. He's worth it if you play daily for months, and a bad deal if you don't. If you'd rather earn that Robux than spend it, our Death Ball free Robux guide covers that side.
What Gems Are Actually Worth Buying
Champions are the main sink, in four tiers as of August 16, 2026. Saito, Gazo and Lufus cost 500 Gems each, and you get one of the three free during the tutorial at a 1-in-3 chance. Foxuro, Koju, Senshu, Jiro, Torokai, Keilo and Kameki are 20,000 Gems apiece. Denjin and Gloom, both former Season 1 Battlepass rewards, cost 50,000 Gems.
The top tier is 100,000 Gems: Wu, Freira, JJ, Dr, and Misaki — the newest champion, based on Mikasa Ackermann from Attack on Titan. That's 19 champions including the ability-free Default. One top-tier pick is roughly 17 hours of AFK farming, so choose with intent.
Beyond champions, sword grading in the Trading Lobby is the real value play: a guaranteed Grade A costs 2,500 Gems plus five copies of the weapon and multiplies its trade value 5x, while a guaranteed Grade A+ costs 4,000 Gems plus four A-grade copies for 20x. Grade below 100% odds and a failure destroys every weapon used plus the Gems spent. A clan costs 30,000 Gems.
The sink to avoid early is enchanting. Basic Books run 100,000 Gems each post-2.0 for a cosmetic ball effect — a top-tier champion's worth of Gems for looks. Buy the champion first.
Souls and Gears — The Currencies Gems Replaced
Older guides describe Souls and Gears as currencies Gems can't touch. That was true once. Souls came only from the Cursed Spirit Boss and Gears only from the Villain Mech Boss, at 500 per hit the boss took, and 1,000 of either opened a Spirit or Mech Pack.
Both packs are now listed as unobtainable, and the champions once locked behind them aren't locked any more — Koju and Torokai both cost 20,000 Gems today. The raids still run; the Cursed Spirit has 7 stages with 7 lives each, and post-v2054 rewards arrive as currency per stage rather than as Souls or Gears. Run bosses for sword drops and event payouts, not as a currency gate.
Buying Gems With Robux
Four Gem packs sit in the shop and they're not equal value. Documented pricing is 10,000 Gems for 99 Robux, 25,000 for 199, 100,000 for 699 and 350,000 for 1,999 — that's 101, 126, 143 and 175 Gems per Robux, so the biggest pack gives about 73% more per Robux than the smallest.
Set that against the free rate and it gets awkward. The 1,999-Robux pack buys 350,000 Gems, which the AFK World produces in about two and a half days of idling for nothing. Buying Gems here is buying time, not access. Pack pricing can vary between players, so check your own shop first.

Frequently Asked Questions
The AFK World. It pays 200 Gems every 2 minutes with no input at all, which works out to 6,000 Gems an hour and 144,000 Gems across a full 24 hours. Nothing you do in an actual match comes close to that rate per hour of real time, so the standard routine as of August 16, 2026 is to park in the AFK World overnight and play matches when you actually want to play.
Only if you play a lot of matches. The Gem Toki game pass is live at 499 Robux as of August 16, 2026, and Gemtoki's Gem Hunt spawns 10 fake gems worth 300 each, so a clean Cash Out is about 3,000 extra Gems per match. Spent on the 100,000-Gem pack instead, 499 Robux buys roughly 71,000 Gems outright, so you need around 24 solid matches just to break even.
There are four price tiers as of August 16, 2026. Saito, Gazo, and Lufus cost 500 Gems each, and you get one of the three free during the tutorial. Foxuro, Koju, Senshu, Jiro, Torokai, Keilo, and Kameki cost 20,000 Gems each. Denjin and Gloom cost 50,000 Gems, and Wu, Freira, JJ, Dr, and Misaki cost 100,000 Gems. Gemtoki is the one champion that is Robux-only, at 499.
In matches, yes. In the AFK World it breaks exactly even — 20 minutes of idling earns 2,000 Gems normally, so doubling it returns precisely the 2,000 the fruit cost. Save it for Pro rounds: a 10-kill Pro win goes from 5,600 Gems to 11,200 with the fruit running.
Briefly. Crystals took over as the primary currency in the May 2025 update and Gems were reduced to trading and clan slots. The "OG" update of September 20, 2025 restored the original earning methods, and by April 2026 Gems were the main currency again. Crystals still exist and some codes still pay them, but champion prices are quoted in Gems.
Not the way older guides describe. Souls came from the Cursed Spirit Boss and Gears from the Villain Mech Boss at 500 per hit, and 1,000 of either opened a Spirit or Mech Pack. Both packs are now listed as unobtainable, and Koju and Torokai cost 20,000 Gems each in the shop today.
Idle in the AFK World, hold your login streak, redeem codes the day they land, and save Double Gem Fruits for Pro rounds. Bookmark the Death Ball hub for updates, check the numbers on the Roblox game page, or read the community Death Ball wiki for the raw data behind this guide.
