At its core Evomon is a creature-collector. Here are the systems that define the game, so you know what you're getting into before you press play:
- Three starters, a type triangle. You pick between Leafbu (Grass), Blazpu (Fire), and Bubble (Water) — the classic grass-fire-water rock-paper-scissors, so each starter beats one and loses to another.
- Catch by weakening, then throwing. You lower a wild Evomon's health in a turn-based fight, then throw a capture ball; stronger balls (such as Advanced Balls) raise your catch rate for rarer targets.
- 200+ Evomon plus rare variants. The dex runs past 200 creatures, and there are Shiny, Sparkle, and Prismatic variants to hunt for collectors.
- Training and progression. EXP Fruits power-level your team quickly, and eggs hatch into new Evomon.
- Endgame content. Ride legendary Evomon, team up for group Dungeons and Raids, and climb the Global Ranked PvP ladder added in Season 1.

What's the current Evomon update?
The current major version is Season 1 (Update 1.1.0), which launched on July 16, 2026 and is Evomon's biggest content drop so far. Season 1 added:
- Global Ranked PvP via the Duality Clash event — a shared competitive ladder for trained teams.
- Two new element types, Light and Dark, introduced through the season's boss encounters.
- A new seasonal world to explore, plus Raids and Dungeons.
- Limited-time seasonal Evomon catchable only while the season runs.
A follow-up patch on July 17, 2026 raised the party cap from 3 to 5 Evomon and removed the old NEW badge. Most recently, the Story & Prismatic Recolor update and a paired New Island content drop went live on July 30, 2026, adding the long-requested ability to recolor Prismatic Evomon and continuing the season's story. Both drops are scheduled to run until August 20, 2026 (all dates as of July 31, 2026).

Two dated windows are currently open: the Duality Clash Ranked PvP ladder runs through August 10, 2026, and the Story & Prismatic Recolor plus New Island content stays live until August 20, 2026.
