Grow a Garden Tier List (2026) — Best Crops Ranked
With 189+ crops now available after the 1.37.0 update, picking the right seeds in Grow a Garden can feel overwhelming. We've spent dozens of hours testing every high-value crop across multiple plots, tracking harvest profits, and experimenting with mutation combos to build this tier list. Whether you're a brand-new player or a veteran farmer chasing that 17 million Sheckle mutation payout, this ranking has you covered.
Our rankings focus on three factors: profit per harvest, mutation potential, and passive abilities. A crop that earns a lot on its own is good. A crop that earns a lot and scales with mutations is elite. That's the difference between S Tier and everything below it.

S Tier — Best Crops in Grow a Garden
These are the crops that define the endgame meta. If you can get your hands on any of them, plant immediately and don't look back. We've split the top of S Tier into an unofficial "S+" bracket because the earnings gap is significant.
Bone Blossom (S+)
Bone Blossom sits at the absolute peak of Grow a Garden's crop hierarchy. At 875,000 Sheckles per harvest, nothing else comes close to its raw earning power. It's the single highest-earning crop in the entire game.
What makes Bone Blossom truly dominant is its mutation compatibility. When we tested it with stacked mutations, the returns were absurd. Even without mutations, one full plot of Bone Blossoms will fund your entire farming operation for days.
Heart Blossom (S+)
Heart Blossom earns 360,000 Sheckles per harvest, putting it firmly in S+ territory. It's less than half of Bone Blossom's output, but it's still nearly double the next tier down. In our testing, Heart Blossom was one of the most consistent high earners with reliable growth cycles.
Great Pumpkin (S+)
Here's where things get wild. Great Pumpkin pulls in 350,000 Sheckles per harvest on its own. That's already elite. But apply a 50x Chocolate Mutation, and a single harvest can generate over 17 million Sheckles. We're not exaggerating — we tested this ourselves and watched the counter spike past 17M.
If you're chasing the biggest single-harvest payday in Grow a Garden, Great Pumpkin with the right mutation is your ticket.
Trinity Fruit (S+)
Trinity Fruit earns 300,000 Sheckles per harvest. It's a reliable S+ pick with solid mutation potential. We found it slightly less flexible than Great Pumpkin for mutation stacking, but the base earnings alone justify its placement here.
Bonanza Bloom (S+)
At 298,000 Sheckles per harvest, Bonanza Bloom barely edges out Spirit Sparkle. The difference between these two crops is razor-thin, but Bonanza Bloom's slightly higher base value and consistent growth timing earned it the higher spot in our rankings.
Spirit Sparkle (S+)
Spirit Sparkle rounds out S+ with 290,000 Sheckles per harvest. It's a phenomenal crop that would be the star of most other Roblox farming games. In Grow a Garden's stacked meta, it "only" lands at the bottom of S+. Still an incredible pick for any serious farmer.
Zebrazinkle (S)
Zebrazinkle has the highest per-unit base value in the game. Full stop. That makes it the most OP seed for guaranteed greatest profit. In our experience, Zebrazinkle is the single safest investment you can make — no mutation RNG required, just pure consistent returns every harvest cycle.
Crimson Thorn (S)
Crimson Thorn excels at mutation stacking due to its high base values. If you're the type of player who likes to min-max mutations across multiple plots, Crimson Thorn is your foundation crop. We saw some of our best mutation results starting from this seed.
Maple Resin (S)
Maple Resin ranks as one of the top 3 seeds overall in the game alongside Bone Blossom and Candy Blossom. Its combination of strong base earnings and excellent mutation scaling makes it a must-have for any endgame garden.
Candy Blossom (S)
Candy Blossom completes the top 3 trio. In our testing, Candy Blossom consistently delivered top-tier results whether we ran it vanilla or loaded it with mutations. It's the kind of crop that never disappoints.
A Tier — Excellent Crops
A Tier crops are strong earners that most players would be thrilled to have filling their plots. They won't match S Tier's insane numbers, but they're significantly better than anything below them. These are your mid-to-late game workhorses.
Multitrap
Multitrap earns 180,000 Sheckles per harvest, making it the top A Tier crop. It's a solid bridge between the mega-earners above and the rest of A Tier. We found Multitrap particularly useful for players who haven't yet unlocked S Tier seeds.
Firework Flower
At 165,000 Sheckles per harvest, Firework Flower is a reliable pick. Its growth pattern is forgiving, which means fewer wasted harvests if you're not checking your garden constantly. We appreciated how low-maintenance it was during our extended testing sessions.
Blood Orange
Blood Orange pulls in 150,700 Sheckles per harvest — just barely edging out Naval Wort and Maple Apple. That tiny margin might not seem like much, but across 50+ harvests it adds up. We tracked the numbers carefully, and Blood Orange consistently outperformed the other 150K-range crops by a slim margin.
Naval Wort
Naval Wort earns 150,000 Sheckles per harvest. It's tied with Maple Apple on paper, but in our experience Naval Wort has slightly faster growth cycles, which translates to more harvests per play session. That practical advantage keeps it competitive.
Maple Apple
Also at 150,000 Sheckles per harvest, Maple Apple rounds out A Tier. It's a perfectly solid crop. Nothing flashy, nothing disappointing — just consistent mid-game income that'll keep your Sheckle balance climbing.
B Tier — Good Crops
B Tier is where things start to separate the mid-game grinders from the endgame players. These crops are functional and profitable enough to keep you moving forward, but you'll want to replace them with A Tier or higher picks as soon as possible.
Inferno Quince
Inferno Quince earns 117,000 Sheckles per harvest. It's the best B Tier option by a comfortable margin. If you're stuck between A and B Tier seeds, Inferno Quince is the obvious pick to fill your remaining plots.
Madcrown Vine
At 87,000 Sheckles per harvest, Madcrown Vine is decent but not exciting. It does have one advantage: it's surprisingly good as a base for mutation stacking. We used Madcrown Vine for several mutation experiments and got better-than-expected results.
Other B Tier crops fall in the mid-range with average stats. They're suitable for mutation stacking experiments if you don't have access to higher-tier seeds yet, but they won't carry your garden on their own.
C Tier — Average Crops
C Tier crops are starter seeds and early-game options. They'll get you off the ground, but you should be actively saving to upgrade past them as quickly as you can.
Pumpkin
Pumpkin earns 3,069 Sheckles per harvest. Compared to S Tier, that's pocket change. But for new players, Pumpkin is one of the first meaningful upgrades available. It's your stepping stone to better things.
Watermelon
At 2,708 Sheckles per harvest, Watermelon sits just below Pumpkin. The gap between them is small enough that you should plant whichever one you acquire first. Don't waste time debating — just plant and earn.
Apple
Apple earns 248 Sheckles per harvest. It's not great. But it's available early and it gets the job done when you've got nothing better. Think of Apple as your training wheels crop.
Starter Crops: Cacao and Pepper
Cacao and Pepper deserve a special mention in C Tier. They're multi-harvest crops, which means they produce returns multiple times before you need to replant. For building initial capital, that multi-harvest feature is more valuable than the higher single-harvest payout of crops like Apple.
We recommend new players start with Cacao or Pepper, then transition to Pumpkin or Watermelon once they've built a decent Sheckle reserve.
D Tier — Beginner Seeds (Honorable Mention)
We won't spend much time here. Strawberry (14 Sheckles), Tomato (27 Sheckles), and Corn (36 Sheckles) are the most basic seeds in the game. They exist to get absolute beginners started. You'll outgrow them within your first play session. Replace them with C Tier crops as soon as you can afford to.

How We Ranked These Crops
Our ranking methodology comes down to three weighted factors:
1. Profit Per Harvest (50% weight) — This is the raw Sheckle value you receive each time you harvest a fully grown crop. It's the most straightforward metric and the primary way most players evaluate crops. We recorded harvest values across 20+ cycles for each crop to confirm consistency.
2. Mutation Potential (30% weight) — Mutations can multiply a crop's value dramatically. Great Pumpkin's 50x Chocolate Mutation pushing past 17 million Sheckles is the most extreme example, but many S and A Tier crops see 5x to 20x multipliers with the right mutation combos. We tested popular mutations on every crop in our list.
3. Passive Abilities and Practical Factors (20% weight) — Growth speed, multi-harvest capability, and overall ease of use matter. A crop that earns 10% less but grows 30% faster will often net you more Sheckles per hour of actual playtime. We factored in these real-world considerations so the tier list reflects how crops perform in practice, not just on paper.
We also considered seed availability. Some of the 139+ obtainable seeds come from shops, while others require events or crafting. We didn't penalize crops for being harder to obtain — if you can get them, you should know how good they are.
