Junk Mechanics codes pay out free Cash — the currency you need to buy wrecks, fit better engines and flip cars for profit in Oil Leak's junkyard sim. Below are the two codes still working, the two we have archived, the exact spot where the redeem box hides, and one honest warning: codes here die fast.
Junk Mechanics is a car-flipping sim by the Oil Leak group: drag wrecks out of the junkyard, repair and repaint them, then sell them on. It launched March 12, 2026 and has taken 24,063,981 visits, with 5,299 players in-game and 46,469 favourites as of August 18, 2026. Every code below pays Cash.
Both were added on August 8, 2026, and as of today not one of the fourteen trackers we swept has moved them to its expired list — including the two that re-checked most recently, on August 16 and 17, 2026.
| Code | Reward | Status |
|---|---|---|
| THIRDCODEOK | 20,000 Cash | Active |
| FOURTHCODINITUNGTUNG | 20,000 Cash | Active |
On the payouts: THIRDCODEOK is 20,000 Cash everywhere. FOURTHCODINITUNGTUNG is 20,000 on ten of the twelve sites carrying it, but 37,000 on two auto-stamped aggregators; we print the consensus figure and treat 37,000 as unverified.
The game's first two codes, added around August 7, 2026 with an explicit one-week shelf life. Five independent sites have since moved both to their expired lists, which is enough for us to call them dead. We keep them listed because this archive is the fastest way to test a code list found elsewhere: if a page still shows UPDATE4K and 5500THANKS as working, it has not re-checked anything.
| Code | Reward | Status |
|---|---|---|
| UPDATE4K | 20,000 Cash | Expired |
| 5500THANKS | 20,000 Cash | Expired |
The redeem box is not on the main menu, nor behind a Twitter or Settings icon — it is buried at the bottom of the Shop. That is why many players assume the game has no code system.
FOURTHCODINITUNGTUNG is twenty characters of deliberate nonsense — copy it from the table above. If a brand-new code fails, rejoin or switch servers; codes take time to propagate.
Codes arrive on a predictable rhythm. All three channels below were verified on August 18, 2026:
The pattern is two-track: codes land either with a Saturday update or at a like milestone. Codes three and four both dropped on Saturday, August 8, 2026, and Oil Leak has scheduled a further update, "SUSPENSION AND MORE!", through Roblox's events system for Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 18:30 UTC (the developer notes the date and hour may change). That is the next realistic code window.
Five causes, in order of likelihood:
Oil Leak numbers its codes instead of naming them after events, which makes the cadence easy to read. Codes one and two arrived around August 7, 2026, tied to the 4K and 5,500 milestones; three and four followed on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The description then promised a fifth code at 13,000 likes.
Here is the part no other page will tell you: that milestone has already been passed. Junk Mechanics sits at 18,531 likes as of August 18, 2026, over 5,000 past the stated trigger — yet the description still advertises the 13,000 target and still says the third and fourth codes "will release this Saturday", ten days after they actually shipped. The block is simply stale, and no fifth code has surfaced in the description, the Discord, or any of the fourteen trackers we checked.
So a fifth code is overdue rather than released, and the likeliest moment for it is the "SUSPENSION AND MORE!" update on August 22, 2026. The current V10 update, live since August 16, 2026, shipped the V10 engine, a revamped V8 model, three vehicles (Cobra RT500, Cavaretti Pelirogo 512, Ferdinand 119 RSR3), Premium Auctions opened with Keys, weekly Quests, Speed Traps, and underglow, tint and horn customisation — but no code.
Every code was checked on August 18, 2026 against multiple independent sources, per our codes verification methodology. We used the live Roblox games and votes APIs for the description, likes and player stats; the virtual-events API for Oil Leak's verbatim V10 patch notes and the August 22 update; the Discord invite API to confirm the official server resolves; and a sweep of fourteen trackers, weighting Try Hard Guides, Pocket Tactics, PCGamesN, Game Rant, Beebom and Dexerto most heavily. Both codes are spelled identically across twelve pages, so spelling is not in doubt — note there is no "E" after FOURTHCOD.
We discounted several widely-cited trackers. game.guide, RobloxDen, Destructoid, TechWiser and Pro Game Guides each list every code ever issued as "active" with zero expired — including the two the developer capped at one week. game.guide stamps each code "checked August 18, 2026" while its own blurb quotes 16.0 million visits against a live reading of 24 million, and its redeem steps ("Codes button or Settings menu") do not match this game. Sportskeeda is worst: its active list holds only the two dead codes. A long active list beside an empty expired list means copying, not testing.
What we could not do: we did not run an in-game redemption pass today. Our Active call rests on no tracker having retired these codes, two re-checked within 48 hours — not on first-hand redemption. Given the one-week pattern, redeem now and treat failure as expiry.

Not on the main menu. Press the Shop button on the left of the screen and scroll to the bottom of the Shop window: a field labelled Code Here sits under the shop items, with a green Redeem button. The Shop unlocks only after you finish the tutorial and sell your first car.
Not long. Oil Leak stated on the game's Roblox page that the first two codes were live for one week only, and both are now dead. Treat every code here as a seven-day item and redeem it the day you see it. Any list not re-checked within a week is probably stale.
Not that we can verify. The description promises a fifth code at 13,000 likes, but the game sits at 18,531 likes as of August 18, 2026, so the milestone has passed. No fifth code has appeared in the description or on any tracker we checked, so it is overdue rather than released.
This is our first Junk Mechanics page; a guide and update log will follow. These Roblox vehicle games have code lists we maintain on the same schedule:
