Protect the Border Codes [Endless Mode] (August 2026) – Free Gold
· August 20 — page created; 1 active code verified at source, 0 expired, redeem box located inside the Shop
Protect the Border codes pay out Gold, the currency you spend on new officer classes at the checkpoint. One code works as of August 20, 2026, and it came straight from the developer's own X account rather than a tracker. There is a catch on the amount, covered below.
All Protect the Border Codes (August 2026)
Active Codes
The one working code is confirmed at the source, not merely repeated across tracker pages. The Evil Mafia's own X account, @EvilMafiaStudio — whose bio links place ID 104589921852670 — posted it at 03:53 UTC on August 19, 2026. Type it in capitals, exactly as printed.
| Code | Reward | Status |
|---|---|---|
| EVILREWARD | 650 Gold — the developer advertised 1,000 · NEW | Active |
Expired Codes
| Code | Reward | Status |
|---|---|---|
| No expired codes — nothing has rotated out yet. | ||
None, and that is the honest answer rather than a gap in our research. The experience was created on June 30, 2026 and EVILREWARD is the first code the studio has ever posted. Any page showing you a block of expired Protect the Border codes is inventing them — there has not been a rotation yet for anything to expire out of.
Is EVILREWARD Worth 1,000 Gold or 650?
The developer's post says 1,000. Every report of an actual payout says 650. It reads, verbatim: ENTER CODE "EVILREWARD" FOR 1000 GOLD!, published at 03:53 UTC on August 19, 2026 with a link card pointing at the game.
The first contradiction came from a player, not a competitor. At 03:10 UTC on August 20, 2026 a reply under that same post read simply "it's 650 gold bruh". That timestamp matters: it lands roughly three hours before the earliest code article about this game went live, so the 650 figure exists independently of anyone's write-up. Every article published later that day then landed on the same number — Pro Game Guides (06:07 UTC), Gamer Tweak (07:53 UTC), Try Hard Guides (11:37 UTC) and NerdsChalk all list 650 Gold, and not one lists 1,000.
One auto-generated fan wiki does repeat the 1,000 figure and attributes it to a Discord announcement we could not locate. Treat 650 as the number to expect and 1,000 as the advertised figure. If the studio tops it up in a later patch, this page moves.
How to Redeem Protect the Border Codes
The redeem box does not sit on its own HUD button — it is a tab inside the Shop. Four separate guides describe the identical path and two publish their own screenshot of that window:
- Launch Protect the Border [BETA] on Roblox (PC, mobile, tablet or console) and let the checkpoint load in.
- Press the Shop button on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Open the Codes tab inside the Shop window.
- Type or paste EVILREWARD into the Enter Code… text box. It is case-sensitive.
- Press Redeem. Your Gold counter updates straight away — that jump is your confirmation.
It is the same left-rail shop pattern used by the other big checkpoint game we cover, San Diego Border Roleplay.
How to Get More Protect the Border Codes
X — @EvilMafiaStudio is where EVILREWARD appeared, and it is the fastest channel by a wide margin. The account joined in August 2026, has posted three times and had 21 followers on August 20, 2026. Tiny, but real: its bio links straight to place ID 104589921852670. That follower count is exactly why the code sat untouched for a full day before any article picked it up.
Discord — Evil Mafia Productions, invite discord.gg/dSCKRJzB6n, server ID 1432829465699811544, with 738 members and 157 online on August 20, 2026. Proof it is first-party and not a fan server: Discord's invite data shows it was issued by an account whose display name is Myrrakh — the Roblox account that owns The Evil Mafia group (user ID 329655368).
The Roblox group, The Evil Mafia, had 161,079 members on August 20, 2026 at community tier 3 — but do not wait on it. It has no shout set at all, and it publishes exactly one public experience, so there is no sibling game whose codes could spill over.
When Are New Codes Released?
This studio runs on a published weekly schedule. Roblox's virtual-events API lists three developer-scheduled events on this universe, each exactly one week long:
- UPDATE WEEK 2 — "NEW CONTENT!" — August 14 to August 21, 2026, 18:00 UTC
- UPDATE WEEK 3 — "SET DIFFICULTY LEVELS!" — August 21 to August 28, 2026, 18:00 UTC, with its description left as literally "??? (Mystery)"
- UPDATE WEEK 4 — "DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!" — August 28 to September 4, 2026
EVILREWARD landed on August 19, mid-way through Update Week 2 rather than on a boundary, so drops are not locked to the 18:00 UTC handover. Even so, the next content flip is 18:00 UTC on August 21, 2026, and a cadence this tight makes that the likeliest window for code number two. This universe also carries zero badges as of August 20, 2026, so there is no badge track to cross-reference reward windows against.
Why Aren't My Codes Working?
- Case matters. The developer wrote it in full capitals — use EVILREWARD exactly.
- One redemption per account. An "already redeemed" message means it worked in an earlier session, not that it died.
- Trailing spaces. Pasting from an article drags a space in behind the last letter.
- Try a fresh server. Servers hold 25 players, so rejoining takes seconds.
- It is not on this page. There is exactly one real code right now. A longer list — especially one carrying an "expired" section — is padding.
What Gold Actually Buys
Gold is confirmed first-party, not just by trackers: the game's 2X Cash pass describes itself as "Double the cash and gold you earn from every shift", so two currencies run side by side and Gold is the one you spend on officer classes.
Class unlocks are also the studio's main Robux product, which is what makes a few hundred free Gold worth typing for. As of August 20, 2026 the universe carries 25 game passes, 24 of them on sale. The class passes include Frog Man (160 HP, suppressed AS VAL and Ruger SR9), SAS Operator (170 HP, HK416 and P226), Hazmat Soldier, Juggernaut, Pyromaniac with its flamethrower and Ghillie Sniper (SVD plus Desert Eagle), alongside a Special Forces + Spetsnaz Bundle. Weapon passes run from the SPAS 12 and FAMAS up to a Minigun, an RPG and a Ray Gun; the economy passes are 2X Cash at 199 Robux and Infinite Ammo. X-Ray Scanner is flagged not for sale, so do not hunt for it in the shop.

Protect the Border in Numbers
Read live from the Roblox API on August 20, 2026: 10,964 concurrent players, 7,213,460 visits, 48,493 favourites and 12,774 likes against 1,934 dislikes, an 86.9% rating. Our own tracker puts the seven-day median at 9,703 concurrent against a latest reading of 11,656 — still climbing, not settling.
The experience was created at 23:32 UTC on June 30, 2026 and carried a build stamp of 18:07 UTC on August 19, 2026 — the same day the code went out. Servers cap at 25 players, and the universe holds three places: the main checkpoint plus sub-places named Tutorial and Match. It is filed under Simulation, still carries the [BETA] tag, and names Endless Mode as its newest headline feature.
How We Verified This List
Checked on August 20, 2026 against the Roblox games, votes, groups, badges, game-pass, places and virtual-events APIs, with the description pulled under an English locale header — Roblox auto-translates description text and can quietly mangle a code word. The primary source for EVILREWARD is the developer's own dated X post; the 650 Gold figure comes first from a player reply timestamped before any article existed, then from Pro Game Guides, Gamer Tweak, Try Hard Guides and NerdsChalk. The Discord invite was confirmed through Discord's own invite API and its issuer matched to the Roblox group owner.
Two auto-generated fan wikis also cover this game: one prints 1,000 Gold sourced to a Discord announcement we could not locate, the other says it has verified no code at all. Neither counts toward our two-source standard, explained on our how we verify codes page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, one. EVILREWARD was posted by the developer's own X account, @EvilMafiaStudio, at 03:53 UTC on August 19, 2026, and it was still working on August 20, 2026. It is the first code the game has ever had, so there are no expired ones.
The developer's post advertises 1,000 Gold. Every independent report puts the real payout at 650 Gold, starting with a player reply under that post on the morning of August 20, 2026 and followed by four separate code guides the same day. Expect 650.
Inside the Shop, not on a separate Codes button. Press the Shop button on the left-hand side of the screen, open the Codes tab, type the code into the "Enter Code..." box and press Redeem.
