Pick your mode and map at the lobby portals

Scream And Run is universe 10761687472, root place 113481077323469, published by Scream And Run Studios on August 25, 2026, filed under Survival / Escape, server cap 50 players. It is under two weeks old, so there is no wiki: everything here comes from Roblox’s own endpoints and recorded gameplay frames.

The description names three modes: Hide And Seek, Free Roam and Escape. Escape is the one this guide covers — keys, lives and a locked exit; Free Roam is the sandbox where the VIP spawn commands work. You pick from a classroom-styled lobby of glowing portals, one of which we read as “School”, the mine tunnel a few metres right.

There are two maps. School is the launch map; Mines shipped September 3, 2026, the creation timestamp of the “You Escaped Mines” badge at 01:02 UTC. Both run a lights-off variant players call Lights Out and the badges call No Power — not new: its Cat in the Hat badge was created August 28, 2026, five minutes after the ordinary one.

Do the plain version first. The badge counts say No Power is a different game. As of September 7, 2026, “Escape The Cat In The Hat” has been awarded 211,858 times against 11,844 for its No Power twin — 5.6% as many finishers. In the Mines the gap is wider: 37,268 against 1,147, about 3.1%.

Search every container — the key loop, in full

This is the whole game, and what every “scream and run keys” search is really after. The description states it plainly: “Search through abandoned classrooms and backpacks to find the hidden keys you need to unlock the exit.”

Two words do the work. Backpacks are scenery you search, not an inventory you carry — they sit on classroom floors beside desks and lockers. And hidden means rolled, not placed: a search can come up empty.

When it does, the game says so. In a recorded run we read “You Found Nothing” printed in white mid-screen in a locker-lined corridor. Learn it — it means the container was empty, not you did it wrong. Move on.

Do not trust a key count from anywhere else. Four “Scream And Run wiki” and “codes” domains rank for this game and all four print confident key counts and spawn rates. None of those numbers appear in the description, badges, passes or any footage we could read. All four are on our never-cite list.

Read the exit door’s padlocks to count your keys

The exit is a heavy panelled wooden door carrying a row of padlock plates, one per key. Each is a different colour with a keyhole cut into it — dull while its key is missing, glowing brightly once that key is delivered.

In the frame we read from a full School walkthrough the door carried three padlocks: a red one still dark, a yellow and a pink one both lit. That is a two-of-three readout you can take in from across a corridor, which matters when a hunter is behind you.

We are not saying every door has three locks — we read one door, one map, one round. The mechanic is certain: the count lives on the door and is colour-coded, so you never guess how far along your server is. Check it early, then search with a target.

Learn all five binds before your first round

The description prints the full control list and there are exactly five. Nothing uses a mouse button, so one round memorises them:

School is dark even with the power on — long locker corridors lit by single ceiling panels, identical across four creators’ footage, so that is intended lighting rather than one player’s settings.

Handle both hunters: Cat in the Hat and Thomas

The Cat in the Hat is named in the description — “The Cat in the Hat is hunting you” — and in two of the four badges. On screen it is a tall figure in a red-and-white striped top hat, white cat face, black suit and white gloves, and it opens doors rather than phasing through them.

Thomas appears in no badge and no description. The store confirms him: a 249 Robux pass named “2x Chance To Play As Thomas”, created September 3, 2026, and the 549 Robux VIP pass, whose description lists the Free Roam commands :spawn Cat and :spawn Thomas and says spawned monsters last 90 seconds.

Those names reveal something the description does not: you can be rolled into the hunter seat yourself, and a “2x Chance To Play As” pass buys a weighted roll, not a guarantee. The matching Cat pass is also 249 Robux; VIP folds both together as “2x Chance For ALL Monsters”.

A third monster is teased, not shipped. The studio’s one scheduled Roblox event, created September 2, 2026, is titled “New Map / New Monster”; its description ends “Date Not Final”, window running to September 12, 2026. Anyone publishing the monster’s name today invented it.

Bank a free extra life before you buy anything

Escape runs on lives, drawn as small red pips bottom-left — we counted three on a full-health player in a School run. Run out and the round ends.

Before spending anything, take the free one. A whiteboard beside the lobby portals reads, in three lines of red text: “Join The Group / And Like The Game / For An Extra Life!” We read it off an upscaled lobby frame. It is a genuine first-party reward — the Scream And Run Studios group held 12,319 members as of September 7, 2026 — and the only free permanent buff on offer.

Then the store. All six passes were on sale at 20:16 UTC on September 7, 2026, priced straight from product-info. Infinite Lives For Player is 299 Robux and covers “Escape and No Power” — confirmation that No Power is separately scored, not a filter. Push Pass (150) pushes any player; Grab And Throw (149) is cheapest; the two hunter-chance passes are 249 each; VIP at 549 bundles doubled monster chance, the spawn commands and infinite lives — undercutting the 797 Robux those pieces cost separately.

Why there is no codes section here

Scream And Run has no code redemption system as of September 7, 2026. Not “we could not find any codes” — the machinery is absent, and we checked five ways.

There is no redeem box, ticket button or Twitter icon in the lobby or the in-round HUD across recordings from five independent creators. The description, read with an English locale so Roblox cannot auto-translate a code word out of it, contains modes and controls and nothing else. No badge and no pass mentions codes, and the only scheduled event is the New Map / New Monster teaser. Autocomplete returns nothing for any codes prefix, while happily suggesting scream and run roblox keys, scream and run mines and scream and run cat in the hat.

The demand here is keys and escapes, not codes. Four auto-generated sites publish Scream And Run “codes” anyway, and every one is guessing — an invented string typed into a game with no box to type it into does nothing. If the studio ships redemption we will cover it; here is how we verify codes first.

Scream And Run in numbers

Read live from the Roblox API at 20:16 UTC on September 7, 2026:

32,514Playing, Sep 7 20:16 UTC
12,120,975Visits, Sep 7 20:16 UTC
86.6%Rating, Sep 7 20:16 UTC
50Players per server

That is 12,540 likes against 1,942 dislikes and 87,506 favourites, as of September 7, 2026 at 20:16 UTC. Created August 25, 2026 — so twelve million visits is 13 days of work.

Players (median): 16,922, from six readings between 19:30 UTC on September 5 and 07:30 UTC on September 7, 2026. Publish the band, not the midpoint: this game is sharply bimodal by hour, low 8,677 and high 30,675, every peak at 01:30 UTC and every trough at 07:30. The trajectory is the real story — our dated readings run 3,339 on September 1 to 30,675 on September 7, nine-fold in six days.

The badge ledger is small and entirely escapes: four badges, no welcome or playtime badge, and 73,514 Cat in the Hat escapes in the past day against 15,133 in the Mines. The closest currently-trending games we cover are Flee the Facility, same hunter-versus-objective structure at around 51,000 concurrent players, DOORS for door-by-door pacing, and Forsaken for the survivor-versus-killer role roll. Piggy invented the key-and-exit format on Roblox.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the keys in Scream And Run?

There is no fixed key location. The description tells you to “search through abandoned classrooms and backpacks to find the hidden keys”, and a failed search prints “You Found Nothing”. Keys are rolled out of searchable containers, so any guide handing you a room name is guessing. Rely on the exit door: one padlock plate per key, each lighting up as its key goes in.

Does Scream And Run have codes?

No. As of September 7, 2026 there is no code redemption system at all: no redeem box in the lobby or in-round HUD across five creators’ recordings, none in the description, badges or passes, and nothing in the only scheduled event. Autocomplete returns no codes suggestion either. The real free reward is the lobby sign reading “Join The Group And Like The Game For An Extra Life!”

Who are the monsters in Scream And Run?

Two are confirmed: the Cat in the Hat and Thomas. The Cat is named in the description and in two of the four badges. Thomas is named by two game passes — the 249 Robux “2x Chance To Play As Thomas” and the 549 Robux VIP pass, whose Free Roam commands are :spawn Cat and :spawn Thomas, 90-second duration. A third is teased, not shipped: the scheduled event says “Date Not Final”.
