Every number below came off a live Roblox API call or off gameplay footage we watched. You will learn the speed each of the nine biomes demands, why the treadmill beats every other purchase, how the five-minute egg reset decides your session, and what the only two passes cost.

Learn the loop before you steal anything

🥚 Steal An Egg is a tycoon-simulation published July 25, 2026 by the Roblox group and Collect Rare Pets (4,132,085 members). It grew fast: at our check on August 18, 2026 it showed 222,989 players in-game, 68,822,228 visits, 146,150 favourites and a 93.8% rating (97,328 to 6,433).

7Players Per Server

The seven-player cap is the thing new players miss. We sampled 100 public servers on August 18, 2026 and all 100 were full at 7/7 — six rivals racing you for the same eggs on a deliberately narrow map, which is why the sabotage tools below matter more here than in a normal simulator. The loop is short:

One shortcut does not exist here: there is no redeem box and no code has ever been released, as our Steal An Egg codes page documents menu by menu.

Bank speed on the treadmill first

Speed is the only stat that gates content, and it is trained on the treadmill at your base. Stand on it and speed climbs without you touching the keyboard — which is why so many players you meet are stationary. The developers leaned in: the treadmill has a screen playing a scrollable feed of short videos while you train.

How rare is the top of each ladder? As of August 18, 2026 Roblox's badge counters show 9,213 players with Divine Trail! and just 1,243 with Angelic Treadmill!, against 11,062,467 who earned WELCOME! for joining — putting the maxed treadmill at 0.011% of all players.

Match your speed to the biome you enter

The map is a narrow strip of nine biomes, each with a recommended speed and its own guardian animal. Enter under the threshold and the guardian runs you down, ragdolls you and flings you away — and if you were carrying an egg, you drop it. The Forest guardian is a chicken; the curve after that is brutal.

BiomeRecommended speed
ForestNone — the starting zone
Lake900
Desert10,000
Jungle40,000
Snow170,000
Volcano700,000
Abyss Ocean2.5 million
Prehistoric17 million
Cosmic700 million

Six of these eight thresholds we watched enforced on camera on August 14 and 17, 2026 — one player was waved into the Lake at the posted 900 and could not take a Desert egg at 10,000. Only Jungle and Cosmic rest on a written source alone.

The posted number is a floor, not a target. On August 17, 2026 a player with 3.1 billion speed failed to carry a Secret cosmic egg home and was still losing races at 11 billion; another was bounced out of Prehistoric, posted at 17 million, while carrying 1 billion. Budget several times the listed figure.

Turn eggs into income you keep

An egg on your plot grows on a timer tracking its rarity, and the spread is enormous. In footage from August 14 and 17, 2026 we logged early eggs at two to seven minutes, mid-tier at 18 minutes, a Cosmic Secret at three hours and top eggs at five. Size and mutations stretch it further: the best egg is always the one you wait longest for.

Two hidden numbers decide what a pet is worth: size and mutation. Size shows in kilograms and the range is absurd — one pet on August 17, 2026 read 42 million kg. Two pets of the same species can earn wildly different amounts, which is why veterans take a common-but-huge egg over a rare-but-tiny one.

For scale, a developed base on August 17, 2026 made $103 million per second, its best single pet supplying $57 million of that, while a mid-tier pet its owner was ready to bin still made $500,000 per second. There are 78 pets, each themed to its biome.

The only rarity ladder we trust. Ignore the fan tier lists. Roblox's badge counters, read on August 18, 2026, say 1,575,245 players have hatched a Secret, 806,695 have hatched an Eternal, and only 10,865 have ever hatched a Divine — making Divine about 145x rarer than Secret, and reached by roughly 0.1% of everyone who has played.

Win the five-minute reset

Every five minutes the map wipes and respawns a fresh set of eggs, closing for about 13 seconds in between. Learn that rhythm: the reset, not your pet count, is what a session is built around.

Bats, traps and the only two things Robux buys

Because servers are tiny and the map is narrow, everyone gets tools to ruin someone else's run. The baseball bat ragdolls another player; connect with an egg carrier and they drop it for anyone to grab. Better bats come from completing Index zones, not the shop. Traps are capped at three per player, are retrievable, and hold whoever steps in one for about five seconds while making them drop their egg. They work on guardians too — drop one behind you when the animal gives chase.

Bring a friend to the hard zones. One person baiting the guardian while another lifts the egg beats any amount of solo speed — the only tactic that works when you are underlevelled, and it is free.

The game sells exactly two game passes, both added August 3, 2026, priced live from Roblox's per-pass endpoint on August 18, 2026. A longer pass table is padded.

Game passPriceWhat it does (developer's own wording)
X2 MONEY!399 Robux"Earn x2 more money!"
X2 GROWTH SPEED!467 Robux"Eggs grow x2 faster!"

Neither pass buys character speed, the stat that actually gates the map — despite its name, X2 GROWTH SPEED only accelerates the timer on eggs already on your plot. Speed multipliers and individual timer skips are sold separately as one-off Robux purchases: on August 17, 2026 we saw 16 Robux to finish a short timer and 64 Robux on a three-hour Secret. Hovering a rival's placed pet also exposes a Robux "steal" option, so a full wallet can take a rarity off you without ever swinging a bat. Everything else here is reachable without spending.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you get speed fast in Steal An Egg?

Train on the treadmill and leave it running — it is the only unlimited source. First take the rewards board payout for liking, favouriting and joining the community, worth 10,000 speed on camera on August 14, 2026. Unlock the treadmill for $1,000, add trails for a multiplier on top, and spend spare money on treadmill levels. Base upgrades add pet slots, not speed.

How often do eggs respawn in Steal An Egg?

Every five minutes, after which the map closes for about 13 seconds and reopens with fresh eggs. Carry an egg to your own plot inside that window or lose it. Rare eggs are announced server-wide and are not limited to high biomes — a Secret can appear in an early zone.

Does Steal An Egg have codes?

No. As of August 18, 2026 no code has ever been released and there is no redeem box, so any list offering one invented it. The game sells two passes instead — X2 MONEY! (399 Robux) and X2 GROWTH SPEED! (467 Robux). Free progress comes from the rewards board, Index claims and offline earnings: see our Steal An Egg codes page.

About This Guide

Written on August 18, 2026 for universe 10563114921, place 107778070777162 — identified by place ID, because an older, unrelated "Steal a Egg" ranks for the same term. Player counts, visits, favourites and the rating came from Roblox's games and votes APIs; both pass prices from the per-pass product-info endpoint; the scarcity figures from the badges API; the seven-player figure from a 100-server sample. Mechanics and in-game numbers came from gameplay footage of August 14 and 17, 2026, cross-checked against an independently written guide of August 15. We left out pet names, mutation names, a rarity ordering, a trail count and a rebirth system: each traces back to the same network of auto-generated "Steal an Egg wiki" domains, which we treat as zero evidence.
