Your First 30 Minutes

Your first session in Tiny Empires sets the tone for your entire empire. Rush military too early and you'll go bankrupt. Ignore expansion and you'll run out of building space. Here's the exact sequence that works.

  1. Redeem the code WORLD2 immediately. This gives you 3 free Super Farms, which are worth significantly more than regular Wheat Farms. Open the codes menu before placing a single building. Check our Tiny Empires codes page for any additional active codes.
  2. Place 2 Wheat Farms. These are your primary income source. Gold generation starts the moment they're built, so get them down fast. Combined with the 3 Super Farms from the code, you'll have 5 income-producing buildings within the first 2 minutes.
  3. Build 1 Tent. Tents spawn civilian workers who staff your farms and other buildings. Without workers, your buildings produce at reduced rates. One Tent is enough for the early game.
  4. Expand your plot. Plot expansion costs roughly 500 Gold the first time, and it's one of the best early investments in the game. More space means more buildings, which means more income. Buy the expansion as soon as you can afford it.
  5. Build 2 more Wheat Farms and a second Tent. With the expanded plot, you have room. Keep stacking economy. Resist the urge to build anything military right now.
  6. Upgrade your Tent to a Reinforced House. Housing follows a progression: Tent, Reinforced House, Small Castle, Large Castle. Each upgrade increases population capacity and production speed across your base. The Reinforced House is a noticeable power spike.
  7. Build a Mine. Once you have 4+ Farms running, a Mine adds resource diversity. You'll need mine output for later buildings, so getting one early saves time.
  8. Hit the economic baseline: 3 Houses + 4 Farms + 1 Mine. This is the minimum foundation experienced players recommend before thinking about military. If you've also got the 3 Super Farms from the code, you're in a strong position.
Pro Tip: Don't touch military buildings until you hit the 3 Houses + 4 Farms + 1 Mine baseline. Every Gold spent on barracks before your economy is stable is Gold that isn't compounding into more income.

Core Mechanics Explained

Economy

Gold is everything in Tiny Empires. Every building costs Gold, every upgrade costs Gold, and your military upkeep drains Gold. The economy loop is straightforward: Wheat Farms generate Gold passively, workers from housing staff your buildings, and more buildings mean faster income.

Large Houses are your mid-game production multiplier. They increase both population capacity and the speed at which nearby buildings produce. A Large House placed near a cluster of farms can roughly double their output. Position matters.

Mines produce resources needed for advanced buildings and upgrades. They're not as exciting as farms, but skipping them creates a bottleneck when you need Workshop and Builder House materials later.

Building and Housing Progression

Housing isn't just about population. Each tier unlocks better functionality and faster production for your entire base.

Housing Tier Progression Key Benefit
1TentSpawns basic civilian workers
2Reinforced HouseHigher population cap, faster production
3Small CastleSignificant production boost, unlocks upgrades
4Large CastleMaximum population, highest production multiplier

Don't rush straight to Large Castle. Each housing tier costs progressively more, and skipping economy upgrades to fund a castle you can't sustain is a common trap. Upgrade housing when your farm income comfortably covers the cost.

Military

Military in Tiny Empires breaks into 3 building types, and the order you unlock them matters.

Military Barracks produce basic combat units. They're cheap and available early, making them your first military purchase. Basic units can defend your base against early aggression and are enough to capture the Fisherman Village.

Military Camps come in multiple tiers. Higher-tier camps produce stronger units but cost significantly more Gold. Spread your camps across your base rather than clustering them in one area — this gives you better defensive coverage and makes it harder for attackers to wipe out your military production in a single push.

Watchtowers are the single biggest military turning point in the game. They unlock at 15,000 Gold and produce advanced units that dramatically outclass anything from Barracks or Camps. Once you have Watchtowers, you can realistically challenge the Goblin Den and threaten other players' territories.

Capturable Zones

Two main zones exist for capture, and they're very different in difficulty.

Zone Difficulty Requirements
Fisherman VillageEasyBasic military units from Barracks + a few Military Camps
Goblin DenHardWatchtower units strongly recommended; expect heavy losses without them

Fisherman Village is your first target. It's capturable with early military and provides bonus resources that accelerate your mid-game. Take it as soon as you have a small army.

Goblin Den is a different story entirely. Players who try it with only Barracks and Camp units typically lose their entire army and get nothing. Wait for Watchtowers. The 15,000 Gold investment pays for itself once you hold the Den.

10 Beginner Mistakes to Avoid

Best Starter Strategy

This is the economy-first build order we recommend for every new player. It prioritizes Gold generation over everything else for the first 10-15 minutes, then pivots to military once you have a stable income floor.

Phase 1: Economy Foundation (0-10 minutes)

Redeem code WORLD2 for 3 Super Farms. Place 2 Wheat Farms and 1 Tent. Expand your plot (~500 Gold). Add 2 more Wheat Farms and a second Tent. Build 1 Mine.

By minute 10, you should have 4 regular Wheat Farms + 3 Super Farms + 2 Tents + 1 Mine. That's 7 income-producing buildings and a solid worker pipeline.

Phase 2: Housing Upgrades (10-20 minutes)

Upgrade both Tents to Reinforced Houses. Build a third house. Add 1-2 more farms if Gold allows. Your target is the 3 Houses + 4 Farms + 1 Mine baseline.

Once you hit this baseline, your economy should be generating Gold fast enough to sustain military production without going negative. This is the inflection point where the game opens up.

Phase 3: Early Military (20-35 minutes)

Build 1 Military Barracks. Add 2-3 Military Camps spread across your base. Capture Fisherman Village with your initial army. Continue upgrading houses toward Small Castle tier.

Pro Tip: After capturing Fisherman Village, resist the urge to immediately attack other players. The bonus resources from the Village should be funneled back into economy and housing upgrades, not thrown at a premature war.

Phase 4: Watchtower Push (35-50 minutes)

Save aggressively toward 15,000 Gold for your first Watchtower. This is the biggest power spike in the game. Watchtower units are qualitatively different from anything Barracks or Camps produce.

Once you have 2 Watchtowers operational, you can realistically capture the Goblin Den and start pressuring enemy players. At this point, you've transitioned from beginner to mid-game contender.

Build Order Summary

Phase Time Priority Buildings Gold Target
10-10 min4 Farms, 2 Tents, 1 Mine, Plot Expansion~2,000
210-20 min3 Houses (upgraded), extra Farms~5,000
320-35 min1 Barracks, 2-3 Camps, capture Fisherman Village~8,000
435-50 minWatchtowers, capture Goblin Den15,000+

When to Spend Robux (and When Not To)

Tiny Empires is fully playable without spending Robux. The game doesn't gate any critical buildings or units behind a paywall. That said, there are a few places where Robux can save you time if you choose to spend.

Worth considering: Cosmetic items that don't affect gameplay are a personal choice. If you want to support Factory Limited, cosmetics are the cleanest way to do it without disrupting game balance.

Not worth it: Anything that accelerates early economy. The economy-first build order above gets you to Watchtower tier within 50 minutes of free play. Paying to skip that grind removes the part of the game that actually teaches you how the economy works — and understanding your economy is what separates players who hold empires from players who lose them.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Tiny Empires on Roblox?

Tiny Empires (full title: Tiny Empires [WORLD 2] — Kingdom Builder) is a Roblox kingdom-building and PvP strategy game by Factory Limited. You start on an empty plot and build farms, houses, mines, and military buildings to grow an empire. Servers support roughly 5 players competing for map control. The game has over 8.3 million visits and is currently in Beta.

What should I build first in Tiny Empires?

Build economy first. Start with 2 Wheat Farms and 1 Tent, then expand your plot for around 500 Gold. Work toward 3 Houses, 4 Farms, and 1 Mine as your minimum economic baseline before spending anything on military buildings.

How do I get more Gold fast in Tiny Empires?

Wheat Farms are your primary income source. Build as many as you can early, use Large Houses to boost production speed, and redeem the code WORLD2 for 3 free Super Farms. Expanding your plot early (~500 Gold) gives you more building space for additional farms.

When should I build military in Tiny Empires?

Only after you have a stable economy of at least 3 Houses, 4 Farms, and 1 Mine. Start with Military Barracks for basic units, then work toward Military Camps. The real turning point is unlocking Watchtowers at 15,000 Gold, which provide a major power spike.

Are there any active codes for Tiny Empires?

Yes. The code WORLD2 gives you 3 Super Farms, which provide a significant early economy boost. Check our Tiny Empires codes page for the full list of currently active codes.

How do I capture zones like Fisherman Village in Tiny Empires?

Fisherman Village is the easiest capturable zone and can be taken with basic military units from Barracks and a few Military Camps. Goblin Den is significantly harder and generally requires Watchtowers to capture reliably. Spread your military camps across your base rather than clustering them for better defense.
