A One Piece Game (AOPG) is the One Piece-inspired action RPG published by the Roblox group Boss Studio [ V.1 ] — and since August 6, 2026 the version that actually gets updates is Re:AOPG, a from-scratch rebuild on a new place ID. The original 2021 place is still online, but Boss Studio has replaced its entire Roblox description with a single forwarding link to the reboot.

The RE:AOPG Wiki explains why: the 2022-era game had outdated code, UI and data management, so the developers could not ship major updates without wiping player progress. Rather than patch it, they rebuilt the game. That means a fresh progression reset for everyone, a new UI, and — for now — a smaller game than the original, with the old map being re-released sea by sea.

What’s the current Re:AOPG update?

Treat that bracket tag as a theme rather than a patch date: it is edited by hand and routinely lags the build.

For the actual date, the group’s gamesV2 record gives Re:AOPG a last publish stamp of August 20, 2026, 18:18 UTC. Before that, the Second Sea landed around August 17, 2026 — that is the day a creator video titled "2nd Sea is here! Armament & Observation v2, Internal Armament, Future Sight" went up, and it matches the live ReSea2 code on our A One Piece Game codes page. So in its first three weeks the reboot shipped First Sea at launch, Second Sea on roughly August 17, and the Multiverse content by August 20.

Mechanically the reboot keeps the systems the original was known for. The wiki documents three currencies — Beli (B$), Gems (G$) and event Tokens (T$) — and a four-stage Armament Haki ladder bought from Rayleigh in Random Wilderness for 700,000 B$, upgrading at 1,700, 2,500 and 4,500 Haki stat for Advanced, Internal and King’s Haki. Gems still gate Devil Fruit awakening and race rerolls.

What’s next for Re:AOPG?

Nothing is on a dated public roadmap. The live game description promises "weekly updates incoming" but names no date, and Boss Studio publishes no virtual events for the universe. What we can point at is verified gaps:

• The RE:AOPG Wiki notes the reboot has no Gear 3 Dungeon yet, which makes Tokens — and the Ice Island gacha they buy — effectively unobtainable for now.
• Re:AOPG had zero game passes on sale when we queried the game-pass API on August 27, 2026 (we control-tested the same endpoint against another game to confirm it was answering). The legacy place, by contrast, carries 50+ passes, the newest created on July 25, 2026.
• The developers’ own description still says "Next code at 5k LIKES" while the reboot sat at 12,759 likes on August 27, 2026 — the milestone promise is already behind its own counter, so like-gated codes are overdue rather than pending.

The legacy game, meanwhile, looks finished. Its Trello update log stops at Update 159 (Awakened Magnet Update), a card last edited on July 23, 2026, and the place’s last publish stamp is August 11, 2026 — the day its description became a forwarding link.

Player counts are snapshot ranges from three samples taken between 12:32 and 12:39 UTC — neither universe is in our seven-day CCU history yet, and a median taken across the August 6 reboot would be meaningless anyway.

Two things worth reading off that table. First, the "185M+ visits" this page used to quote was never right for either place: the legacy game passed 345 million, and the reboot is barely over one million. Second, the reboot is already out-drawing the original by roughly forty to one on concurrent players, which is the clearest sign of where Boss Studio’s audience has moved.
