A Universal Time (AUT) has over 1.5 billion visits on Roblox, and for good reason. The game packs in JoJo stands, anime specs, and original abilities that create one of the deepest fighting systems on the platform. But with so many options, knowing which stands are actually worth grinding for can save you hours of wasted effort. This tier list covers every major stand and spec in the current meta, ranked by combo damage, PvP viability, and overall consistency.
Table of Contents
How We Ranked These Stands
Every stand and spec on this list was evaluated across three core criteria: total combo damage (the maximum damage output from a full optimized combo), PvP consistency (how reliably you can land those combos against real players), and utility (mobility, counters, escape options, and special mechanics).
We pulled data from community testing, tournament results, and our own matches across hundreds of 1v1s. The May 2026 update that added Uryu and Quincy abilities didn't shake up the top tiers much, but it did shift some mid-tier placements.
S Tier — The Meta Picks
These are the stands and specs that dominate ranked 1v1s. If you're serious about PvP in A Universal Time, you want one of these equipped.
Star Platinum Requiem (SPR)
Star Platinum Requiem is the best stand in AUT right now, full stop. You get it by using a Requiem Arrow on Star Platinum, and the upgrade is worth every bit of the grind. SPR's time stop combined with its devastating barrage creates combos that hit 18,500 total damage — the highest of any stand in the game.
What makes SPR so dominant isn't just raw numbers. Its barrage has almost no startup frames, its time stop lasts long enough to land a full combo, and its mobility moves let you close gaps or disengage at will. In tournament play, SPR has the highest win rate by a significant margin.
Shadow The World Requiem (STWR)
Shadow The World Requiem is SPR's main rival in the S tier. Obtained by using a Requiem Arrow on Shadow The World, STWR has that iconic neon purple design and hits 17,200 total combo damage. Its teleport combos are arguably harder to react to than SPR's time stop openers.
STWR excels in 1v1 duels specifically because of its teleport mix-ups. You can approach from multiple angles, bait out counters, and punish whiffed attacks with massive damage. The skill ceiling is higher than SPR, but the payoff is a stand that feels almost untouchable when played well.
Gold Experience Requiem (GER)
Gold Experience Requiem earns its S tier spot not through raw damage (though 15,800 total combo damage is still strong) but through its Return to Zero counter. This ability nullifies all incoming damage and resets the attacker's position, making GER the single best defensive stand in the game.
Against aggressive players who rely on rushing in with barrages, GER is a nightmare. You can absorb their biggest combo, reset it to nothing, and counter-attack while they're recovering. The life creation attacks also provide solid zoning to keep opponents at mid-range where GER thrives.
Goku (DBS Spec)
The Goku spec hits harder than anything else in AUT at 19,000+ total combo damage. The Kamehameha is a screen-clearing beam that punishes anyone standing still, and Ultra Instinct dodge gives you invincibility frames that let you phase through attacks entirely.
The catch is availability. You need to complete the Dragon Ball quest line, which involves multiple boss fights and item collections. It's time-consuming, and the quest can't be skipped or shortened. But if you put in the work, Goku is the hardest-hitting option in the entire game.
A Tier — Strong and Reliable
A tier stands are genuinely powerful and can beat S tier picks in the right hands. They're slightly less consistent or harder to obtain, but none of them feel weak in PvP.
The World Over Heaven (TWOH)
The World Over Heaven carries the Mythical rarity tag for a reason. Its reality overwrite mechanic lets you bypass defensive abilities, and the time stop creates huge combo windows. At 14,200 total damage, TWOH hits hard and ignores most of the tricks that counter other stands.
The reason it sits in A tier instead of S is the difficulty of obtaining it. The quest chain is one of the longest in AUT, and the drop rates for required items are brutally low. If you already have TWOH, you're in great shape. If you're starting from scratch, the grind might not be worth it when Requiem stands are easier to get.
Killer Queen: Bites the Dust (KQBTD)
Killer Queen: Bites the Dust is the best trap-based stand in AUT. Its bomb combos deal 13,500 total damage, and the Bites the Dust ability creates mind games that no other stand can replicate. You can place invisible bombs on the ground, detonate them remotely, and force opponents into lose-lose situations.
KQBTD rewards patience and positioning over raw aggression. If you like reading your opponent and punishing mistakes rather than rushing in, this is the stand for you.
Star Platinum: The World (SPTW)
Star Platinum: The World is the more accessible version of SPR. You can get it directly from a Stand Arrow without needing the Requiem upgrade, and it still packs a time stop with 12,800 total combo damage. It's a solid PvP option that doesn't require rare items.
Think of SPTW as the entry point to high-level play. It teaches you the fundamentals of time stop combos, barrage timing, and gap closing — all skills that transfer directly if you eventually upgrade to SPR.
Reaper (Spec)
The Reaper spec brings a death scythe, teleport, and a unique soul steal mechanic that heals you while dealing 13,000 total combo damage. Its mobility is among the best in the game, letting you reposition faster than almost any stand user.
Reaper's weakness is its relatively short range on most attacks. You need to stay close to deal damage, which puts you at risk against stands with better zoning tools. But in close quarters, very few things can match Reaper's damage output and sustain.
Sans (Spec)
The Sans spec plays completely differently from everything else in AUT. Gaster Blaster attacks hit at long range, bone attacks control space, and the Karma damage mechanic applies damage over time that bypasses shields. At 11,500 total damage, Sans won't out-burst the top stands, but the chip damage adds up fast.
Sans is at its best when you keep distance and zone opponents. If someone gets in your face, you're in trouble — but if you control spacing well, Sans can whittle down even S tier stands before they touch you.
B Tier — Solid Mid-Range Options
B tier stands are viable but not optimal. You can win fights with them, especially against less skilled opponents, but they struggle against A and S tier picks played at a high level.
Crystallized (Spec)
Crystallized deals 10,200 total damage and offers crystal armor that reduces incoming damage by a flat percentage. It's the tankiest option on this list, and players who prefer a defensive, attrition-based playstyle will get a lot of mileage from it.
Hallow Reaper
Hallow Reaper is a seasonal variant that hits 10,500 total damage with good area-of-effect coverage. Its AoE attacks make it stronger in group fights than standard Reaper, though it trades the soul steal mechanic for raw damage spread. If you got it during the Halloween event, it's a solid B tier pick.
Shadow The World (STW)
The base Shadow The World deals 9,800 damage and plays like a weaker version of its Requiem form. It's still functional in PvP, but once you've experienced STWR's teleport combos, going back to base STW feels limiting. Use it as a stepping stone toward the Requiem upgrade.
Planet Shaper
Planet Shaper has one of the most unique movesets in AUT. Its terrain manipulation attacks create walls and platforms that change the battlefield, and it deals 9,900 total damage. The playstyle is unconventional, which gives it a surprise factor against opponents who don't know the matchup.
Star Platinum (Base)
Base Star Platinum is the classic — reliable barrage, ora ora combos, and 9,200 total damage. It's straightforward, easy to learn, and the natural path toward SPTW and eventually SPR. There's nothing wrong with it, but it gets outclassed by its upgraded forms in every way.
C Tier — Below Average
C tier options are either too weak, too inconsistent, or too limited to compete in the current meta. You can use them for fun, but don't expect to climb ranked with these.
Sakuya (Spec)
Sakuya has knife throws and time manipulation, which sounds great on paper. In practice, 6,500 total damage isn't enough to threaten anyone playing a decent stand, and the knife hitboxes are smaller than they look. The time manipulation is a watered-down version of what SPTW and SPR do better.
Zenith (Spec)
Zenith uses light-based attacks that deal 6,200 total damage. The visual effects are flashy, but the actual hitboxes and frame data don't justify picking this over any B tier or higher option. It's mediocre across the board.
Nuclear Star
Nuclear Star has explosive attacks that sound devastating but land inconsistently. At 5,800 total damage with slow startup on most moves, you'll find yourself whiffing attacks that should have connected. The explosions also have deceptive hitboxes that don't match their visual effects.
Standless (Base Moveset)
Standless is the default moveset before you equip anything. Basic punches and kicks deal 4,500 total damage. It exists as a starting point, not a viable option. Get a Stand Arrow as soon as possible and move on.

Methodology and Sources
These rankings are based on damage testing performed in private servers with frame-by-frame combo optimization, community tournament data from the official AUT Discord, and personal PvP experience across 500+ matches in the May 2026 patch.
Damage numbers represent maximum optimized combo damage — the most you can deal in a single uninterrupted sequence. Real match damage will vary based on your opponent's reactions, latency, and whether they have defensive abilities active. We update this tier list after each major patch.

FAQ
Star Platinum Requiem (SPR) is the best overall stand as of May 2026. It deals 18,500 total combo damage, has a time stop, and its barrage is the most devastating in the game. For pure 1v1 duels, Shadow The World Requiem is a close second at 17,200 damage.
You need a Requiem Arrow to upgrade eligible stands to their Requiem form. Use the Requiem Arrow on Star Platinum to get Star Platinum Requiem, on Shadow The World to get Shadow The World Requiem, or on Gold Experience to get Gold Experience Requiem. Requiem Arrows are rare drops from chests and can also be traded.
Yes. Goku deals over 19,000 combo damage and has some of the strongest moves in the game, including Kamehameha and Ultra Instinct dodge. However, it requires completing the Dragon Ball quest, which is time-consuming. If you can get it, it's one of the strongest specs in AUT.
The World Over Heaven sits in A tier. It deals 14,200 total damage and has reality overwrite plus time stop, making it extremely powerful. It narrowly misses S tier because it's harder to obtain than the Requiem stands and its combos are slightly less consistent in PvP.

Standless is technically the worst since it's just the base moveset with no stand equipped, dealing only 4,500 damage. Among actual obtainable options, Nuclear Star is the weakest at 5,800 damage with inconsistent hitboxes and slow startup on most moves.
