One note before the ranks. In [SZN] Dragon Adventures 🐉 by Sonar Studios, a dragon's power and its trade value are two different things. Every creature carries a rarity label — Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary or Relic — plus a cosmetic element (there are over 140, changing eye color and breath pattern rather than stats), and genetic traits from breeding move combat stats on a 1-to-10 scale. S Tier — Best Dragons
These are the trophies: the rarest, strongest, and most demanded dragons in the game. Owning any one of them is an endgame flex.
Veidreki
Rarity: Relic-class / Legacy exclusive. How to get: Veidreki was the final reward of Legacy Dragon Season 1 in October 2021. Miss that window and it now hatches at just 0.3% from the Stormbound Egg (0.5% with the Lucky Egg gamepass), can be bought once from the Legacy Store, or went to the top 100 weekly leaderboard players during the Veidreki Live Event earlier in 2026. As the first-ever season dragon that most players believe will never fully return, it holds the highest trade value in the game. Pure prestige, and the clearest S-tier pick.
Kostragula
Rarity: Limited / shadow altar dragon. How to get: hatch it from the Shadow Egg at 13% (15% with the Lucky Egg gamepass), earned by donating food at the Shadow Altar in the Prehistoric world. Kostragula is treated as one of the most overpowered dragons in the game — a maxed one runs around 7,250 health with roughly 660 bite damage — so it earns S-tier on raw combat rather than trade alone.
Mother Dragon
Rarity: Epic-to-Legendary quest dragon. How to get: complete all four chapters of the Arcane Crystal questline to earn an Arcane Crystal Egg, which hatches a Mother Dragon 72% of the time (rarer alternatives are Aethereus and Lum Luenh). It carries the highest combined health-and-damage profile in the game, making it the default choice for bosses and PvP — strong, earned through effort rather than pure luck, and always in demand.
Volkumos
Rarity: Event / celestial. How to get: Volkumos first dropped in the Solstice Event 2021 and now returns only through the Red Giant Egg — 0.25% on Tier 1, 1% on Tier 2, 1.25% with the Lucky Egg gamepass — or through trading. Its glowing, star-flecked look plus retired-event status keep it near the top of every trade value board, alongside Veidreki as a top collector target.
A Tier — Strong Picks
A-tier dragons are excellent in their lane — either a serious combat stat leader or a high-value event piece — just a notch below the untouchables above.
Alatura
Rarity: Legacy exclusive. How to get: Alatura was the final reward of Legacy Dragon Season 2, so with that season long finished, trading is the only route now. It sits in the same "retired season dragon" family as Veidreki, which keeps its value high, but its larger original supply and slightly lower fame put it a tier down. Still one of the most desirable trophies you can realistically trade toward.
Chronucus
Rarity: Legendary-class. How to get: the Corrupted Chronucus hatches from the Shadow Egg at 13% via the same Shadow Altar grind that feeds Kostragula. Nicknamed "Chrono" by the community, it carries the highest raw health of any dragon — around 85,375 at level 50 before traits — which makes it a wall for boss farming, mob clearing and drawn-out PvP. If you want a tank that simply refuses to die, this is it.
Nightmare Paranox
Rarity: Event / Halloween. How to get: Nightmare Paranox arrived in Week One of the Halloween Event 2025 and hatches from either the Lantern Egg or the Possessed Egg 2025. As a recent, spooky, seasonally limited variant of the Paranox line, demand for it stayed hot well after the event closed, and it trades strongly. A great "modern rare" that many active players actually have a shot at.
Great Devourer
Rarity: Collab / rideable. How to get: this LEGO NINJAGO crossover dragon was added in Week 4 of the Masters of Spinjitzu collaboration. It hatches from the Vermillion Egg at 2% (4% with the Lucky Egg gamepass), or drops at 0.2% for beating the Great Devourer boss. A huge, rideable showpiece tied to a one-time licensed event, its novelty and size keep collectors interested even with middling combat stats.
B Tier — Reliable Workhorses
B-tier dragons are the ones you actually play with day to day. They fight well, farm well, or fly fast, without the eye-watering trade tags of the tiers above.
Radidon
Rarity: World dragon (Wasteland). How to get: Radidon is one of three Wasteland world dragons alongside Neroxide and Venid, added back in March 2020. It boasts the highest breath attack in the game — about 2,132 at level 50 — so it is a genuine PvP and boss threat despite being a world dragon, and its ties to older content keep its trade value respectable.
Noctorius
Rarity: Shadow altar dragon. How to get: Noctorius has a generous 45% hatch rate from the Shadow Egg earned at the Prehistoric Shadow Altar, which makes it the most accessible heavy hitter on this list. A level 20 one lands around 716 bite damage with 75 defense, so it punches well above its grind cost. If you want a strong PvP dragon without chasing a limited, start here.
Ferorex
Rarity: Common-to-Uncommon generalist. How to get: Ferorex hatches at 6% from the Desert Egg and 25% from the Sun Egg 2025. It is the classic all-rounder — solid stats across the board and so heavily bred that well-statted PvP versions are easy to find and cheap to trade for. Not flashy, but a dependable first "good" dragon for a new player.
Venid
Rarity: World dragon (Wasteland). How to get: Venid hatches from the Toxic Egg at 28% and the Lunar Toxic Egg at 30%. Its combat stats are ordinary, but it is the fastest flyer in the game, which makes a leveled, speed-traited Venid the go-to mount for egg hunting, resource runs and world exploration. Low trade value, huge quality-of-life value — a utility pick every collector ends up keeping.
C Tier — Starters & Filler
Nothing here is bad — these are simply the dragons you outgrow. They are learning tools and breeding fodder more than endgame keepers.
Neroxide
Rarity: World dragon (Wasteland). How to get: the third of the Wasteland trio next to Radidon and Venid, hatched from that world's eggs. Neroxide is perfectly playable early, but its stats and trade value sit below its two Wasteland siblings, so most players use it as a stepping stone rather than a main.
Starter dragons (Fire, Water & Grass)
Rarity: Common. How to get: every new dragon hatches with one of the three basic elements — Fire, Water or Grass — from your earliest eggs. These commons teach you the raise-feed-fly loop and are the base of the element-breeding system, but their stats and value are entry level. Keep one for sentiment, breed the rest for elements, and move on to the tiers above.
Bulk world commons
Rarity: Common / Uncommon. How to get: most biome eggs across worlds like Sandswept Ruins and Frostbite. They fill your hatch log and feed the breeding pool, and the odd strong trait roll is worth keeping, but on rarity, stats and trade value together they anchor the bottom of the list.

We scored each dragon on four things and let them balance out rather than ranking on any single number:
- Rarity and obtainability — retired Legacy and event dragons with tiny hatch odds rank highest, because scarcity drives both prestige and trade demand.
- Combat stats — health, bite and breath damage at level cap, since a dragon that farms bosses and wins PvP earns its place regardless of price tag.
- Utility — speed and quality-of-life. A dragon like Venid ranks on how much easier it makes egg hunting and exploration, not on its stats sheet.
- Community trade value — where a dragon sits on Discord and Undercity trading boards. These are player estimates, so we weighted the direction of demand rather than any exact coin figure.
Two honest caveats. Dragon Adventures has no official in-game tier list, so every rank reflects community consensus and our own play, and values shift with each event. And genetic traits from breeding matter as much as species — a max-trait common can out-fight a badly bred rare — so treat these tiers as a starting map, not a law.
