The current Fisch patch is 2.0, Skycrest, live September 5, 2026 — the hundred-and-first release: a permanent floating island, its own levelling track and a boss. Livepatch 2.0.1 followed on September 7, 2026.

What's new in the Skycrest update (September 5, 2026)

The Fisching group's own Roblox event listing opened Skycrest at 16:00 UTC on September 5; the wiki stamps the version page at 17:20 UTC. From Fischfest 2, swim up the waterfall to the floating island; the Keeper of the Sky waits at the top, at -25847, 3062, -4754.

He hands you a Crest Amulet, the update's centrepiece. It runs its own track, Idol Favor, and holds up to nine stat Charms. Charms come from seven stone-carved Ancient Idols — Hayate, Ebisu, Fudo, Nagomi, Goriki, Shunsoku and Amanojaku — scaling six stats including Luck, Control and Max Weight.

Two weathers arrived, Tropical Squall and Raging Squall, and the extreme idol trials run during them. The Keeper's chain needs ten Sky Crystals set across four older islands; finishing it reopens Abaia's Chamber for the Abaia Hunt.

The rest: five new rods, all five now named on the wiki — Abaia's Spite, Ancient Idol Rod, Artisan Rod, Breeze Caster and Fruitline — plus the Breeze Guster harpoon gun, the Artisan Spear, the Crested and Empyrean enchantments, the Requiem mastery and the Idol Taiga companion. The wiki logs 30 new fish but still flags its 2.0 page as under construction, so that count is provisional.

Livepatch 2.0.1 landed September 7, 2026: bug fixes and QoL. It cuts the Limited Skycrest bestiary from the Abaia Hunt pool, lets Fruity Abaia be summoned without the no-crystal penalty, and makes the un-crystalled Abaia minigame, in the wiki's words, effectively impossible, as designed.

What this means for players

Completion is climbing fast. The Bestiary: Skycrest badge, created September 4, had been awarded 473 times when we read it on September 6 and 12,380 times as of September 7, 2026 at 20:23 UTC — a 26-fold jump in a day. It still trails August's Astral Observatory badge (19,389) and July's Drylands (138,974).

Across the six radar samples since Skycrest opened — 19:30 UTC September 5 to 13:30 UTC September 7, 2026 — the median is 139,806 concurrent, against 65,833 across the full 28-sample window since August 30. Peak so far: 155,921. More on the Fisch hub.

Four older rods got buffs. The No-Life Rod gained +25% Progress Speed, Control 0.23 → 0.28 and Lure Speed 90% → 100%; the Seraphic Rod's Blessed chance went 30% → 35%; Rod of the Depths took Hunt Focus 5 → 20. Astraeus Serenade got better mutation rates but a Butterfly cooldown doubled to 60 seconds. Full ladder: our tier list; for cash, the Robux guide.

Codes with this update

One code shipped: SkycrestIsInTheSky, level 25+ — dated on the wiki to expire September 6, the 24-hour life every Fisch update code has had since July. It is dead and sits in the expired table on our Fisch codes page, where three long-life codes (SCARLET, TemporarySubmarine, CARBON) are the only ones still working. Fisch codes are not case-sensitive; see how we verify codes.

Update history

The wiki's Date Added column carries five more Saturday drops before those: August 1 (HarpoonGunsAreAwesome), July 25 (HarpoonGunsNextWeek), July 18 (RoamingFishAndWaterPark), July 11 (OllieAndFinWhale) and July 4 (DrylandsIsFire). With the four above and Skycrest itself that is ten consecutive Saturdays — weekday checked on all ten — each code retired at 16:00 UTC the next day.

What's next for Fisch?

One date is fixed. Fischfest, live since June 20, closes September 12, 2026 at 16:00 UTC on the Fisching group's event listing, and the Skycrest entry ends the same minute. The island stays — the wiki calls it permanent; the Fischfest-limited section is what goes. Livepatch 2.0.1 added an expiration timer to Fruit Lover Frank's quests, but no source dates it yet. Nothing else is dated past September 12; on the ten-Saturday record the next drop falls due that same afternoon. We will not name it, or its code, before it exists.
