Tower Heroes is a co-op tower defense game by the verified Roblox group Pixel-bit Studio, where you place a squad of towers along a path and fight waves across campaign, freeplay and PvP maps. It is one of the platform's older survivors — released February 1, 2020 — and it still ships map and event content, with a roster of 34 towers rather than the "50+ heroes" this page previously claimed.
What’s the current Tower Heroes update?
The live build is tagged [UPD] and its own Roblox "What's New?" block, read on August 17, 2026, lists: the Balloon Defense Weekly with a free skin reward, the Quiet Quarry map, Quarry enemies and Quarry skins, the Grass Crate skin crate, Sandbox gamepass access to the Test Map, and other fixes.
Dating those two headline items from the in-game Change Log (read August 17, 2026): the Balloon Defense Weekly landed August 10, 2026 and was hotfixed on August 11, 2026 so non-balloon enemies stopped counting as Balloons when they died. Quiet Quarry shipped June 13, 2026 — corroborated independently by the three "Defeat the Goblin Foreman!" badges (Easy/Medium/Hard), created June 9 and last updated June 13, 2026. The experience itself was republished on August 17, 2026 at 16:47 UTC.
Neither patch changed tower stats, which is why our Tower Heroes tier list is pinned to this build: Spectre still leads on its Level 5 +100% damage aura, and Chef still posts the highest base DPS in the game at 153.33 while being one of only two free starter towers.
What’s next for Tower Heroes?
No dated announcement exists. Pixel-bit Studio's Roblox group (421,065 members) had no group shout when we checked on August 17, 2026, and the Roblox virtual-events API returned no scheduled events for the universe.
The one forward-looking signal that is actually dated is the Weekly rotation itself: Balloon Defense Weekly was added August 10 and patched August 11, which is a documented cadence rather than a promise. Four towers — Lure and Hayes (Halloween), Wafer (Christmas) and Bunny (Easter) — unlock only during their seasonal events, and no event was running on August 17, 2026, so their map unlocks are currently closed. All four remain buyable as 500 Robux game passes year-round.
