Update 57 alone added eleven new units plus sixteen shiny variants and five Star Pass units, so the roster keeps growing.
Deep Progression System
ASTD rewards long-term investment: Story Mode unlocks worlds, Infinite Mode drives leaderboards, and Gems, Stardust and Gold feed summoning and upgrades. Evolution turns certain units into much stronger forms, and the Star Pass runs a parallel reward track each season.

Clear Story Mode first: it teaches tower placement, mid-battle upgrading and deployment cost, and it pays Gems, the summoning currency. Build a core team before pushing Infinite Mode, where you farm Stardust for upgrades. Update 57 added Story Skippers, harder catch-up stages that clear all six acts of a stage in one go — use them if you are behind.
Hold Gems for rate-up banners rather than spending on every pull, and from Level 100 use the new Banner S to build your own 24-hour banner around a 6-, 5- and 4-star unit you actually want. Trading is enabled in Settings; check unit values before you accept anything.
