Updates are the main trigger, and the pattern is consistent: a named style event drops, and a matching code family drops with it. Return of Kings shipped RETURNOFKINGS, 30RETURNOFKINGS, and 1HRRETURNOFKINGS; the Silver style shipped SILVERRETURN and 15SILVER; TATLIS V2 shipped TATLISV2 and 15TATLISV2. For the August 27, 2026 check we started first-party: the game's live record came straight from the Roblox API (universe 7028566528, place 130739873848552), confirming the developer and the player and vote numbers quoted above — 7,039,543 likes, 2,189,815 favourites and 1.12 billion visits, with 5,844 in-game at the time of the call — and establishing that the live game name is plain "Basketball: Zero" with no bracket tag, and the developer's own published event listing dated the TATLIS V2 STYLE update to August 15, 2026 16:30 UTC. We also confirmed the Discord linked above carries Roblox's Official Game Guild and Verified flags.
For the August 27, 2026 re-check we cross-checked four genuinely independent outlets: GamesRadar, VGTimes, GamerUrge and UrGameTips. All four confirm TATLISV2 and 15TATLISV2, and all four place EMPERORREWORK in the expired column with August 15 as the cut-off date. We dropped three sources we had previously counted: PCGamesN and Pocket Tactics share an owner and are one source, not two, and the remaining pages we had cited were frozen — one of them prints "verified today" from a template while its own structured data has not moved since August 16.
We also removed six codes from our expired archive. GOATSEASON, SLAMJAM, BBALLSTART, COURTKING, ZEROHYPE and a seventh we had named in a note, EMPERORSTYLE, appear in none of the nine external code archives we checked — several of which carry 60 to 250 historical entries. They were ours alone, which means they were never real. The real code of that family is GOAT, with its 30GOAT and 1HRGOAT playtime variants.
