This is the walkthrough version: what to do, in what order, across your first week. If you want the methods compared by realistic payout, that is 7 real ways to get free Robux; if you arrived here from a generator site, start with free Robux without human verification. Every payout rate and fee below was re-checked against Roblox's own documentation on August 17, 2026 — including two routes that died this year (re-confirmed dead on August 16) and are still recommended everywhere else.

Two Rules That Save Your Account

Rule one: no generator can add Robux to any account. Robux live on Roblox's own ledger and no third party holds a key to it, so every "generator" is a paid offer funnel, a credential phish, or a session-cookie grab. Our no-human-verification page owns that scam anatomy, so this one stays practical.

Rule two: Roblox promo codes never award Robux — only avatar items. Our Roblox promo codes list shows what the current ones actually give. Setting this up for a child? The parent-facing version is free Robux for kids.

The one-line test: if a site names a Robux amount before it knows what you will do for it, close the tab. Legitimate payouts are small, specific, and tied to a defined action.

Step 1 — Make Your Account Payout-Ready (Day 1)

  1. Verify your email in account settings. A Roblox-verified email is a hard requirement for the Developer Exchange later, and it is your recovery path.
  2. Turn on two-step verification. It does not stop session-cookie theft by itself, but it closes the password-only door.
  3. Note your username — not your password. Legitimate rewards platforms need the username only; a password field on a third-party site is theft.
  4. Install Roblox Studio from create.roblox.com — free, and Steps 3 to 5 all run through it.

Step 2 — Start One Same-Day Earner (Day 1)

The creator routes pay slowly at first, so run something that pays today alongside them. On Earnaldo, each task shows its exact Robux value before you begin, points credit within minutes of the partner network confirming the action, and withdrawals run through Roblox's official game-pass system at a 5 Robux minimum (as of August 16, 2026). Your username is the only account detail requested. The due diligence, if you want it first: is Earnaldo legit?

Expect tens to low hundreds of Robux from consistent use. Sort by payout first — multi-step app offers that require reaching a level typically pay several times what a survey does.

Step 3 — Publish Something Small in Studio (Days 2 to 4)

This is the step beginners skip. You do not need a hit game — you need a published experience, because Roblox's Creator Rewards program pays on engagement automatically, with no enrollment step (verified against Roblox's Creator Hub documentation on August 17, 2026).

The Daily Engagement Reward pays 5 Robux per qualified player per day. A player qualifies when three things are true: they are an Active Spender (at least $9.99 spent anywhere on Roblox in the previous 60 days), your experience is one of the first three they open that day, and they stay at least 10 minutes. Ten qualified players a day is 50 Robux a day, indefinitely.

  1. Start from a Studio template — an obby, a tycoon, a simple simulator. Finished and published beats ambitious and unpublished.
  2. Publish it and set it public. That single action makes it eligible for Daily Engagement Rewards.
  3. Give it a searchable name and a real thumbnail; discovery is the whole game.
  4. Watch session length in the Creator Dashboard. The 10-minute threshold decides whether your players count.

Step 4 — Add One Game Pass (Day 5)

Once players arrive, monetise once and cheaply. Roblox charges a flat 30% marketplace fee on game passes and developer products — unified for every developer since April 2, 2020 and unchanged as of August 17, 2026 — so you keep 70%. A 100 Robux pass banks you 70 Robux.

Clothing is a second lane with harsher maths — classic shirts, pants and t-shirts carry a 10 Robux publishing advance each, and avatar items needing Marketplace review cost 80 Robux per submission (as of August 17, 2026). The methods comparison covers that route in full.

The ceiling on all of it is the Developer Exchange: as of August 17, 2026 the standard rate is $0.0038 per Earned Robux at a 30,000 Earned Robux minimum — $114. A higher $0.0054 rate, live in the DevEx portal since June 8, 2026, covers qualifying spend from age-verified 18+ US players in eligible experiences. Robux earned before 10:00 AM PT on September 5, 2025 pay the legacy $0.0035 and clear first. Purchased, traded or gifted Robux never qualify.

Step 5 — Share Your Own Link (Day 6 Onward)

The second half of Creator Rewards is the Audience Expansion Reward: a 35% revenue share on a new or reactivated player's first $100 of qualifying purchases across Roblox, within 60 days of them arriving through your experience. A reactivated player is one who has been away 60+ consecutive days, and they must engage for 10+ minutes on the day they arrive.

Be realistic about the gates: an ID-verified account in good standing, a valid DevEx account, and your experience averaging 100+ daily active users for the 60 days after that player joins (as of August 17, 2026). This is not a week-one payout — it is the reason to keep sharing after week one. It also pays only on links to your own published experiences; posting other developers' games earns nothing.

Two Routes That Died in 2026

Two beliefs almost every other free-Robux guide still teaches are no longer true in 2026.

Microsoft Rewards is no longer a Robux route

Microsoft removed every Roblox digital gift card denomination from the Microsoft Rewards catalog on April 8, 2026, in all markets. On April 23, 2026 a Microsoft staff moderator answered the resulting Q&A thread confirming that Rewards offers change over time, that Microsoft publishes no restock schedule or return date, and that there is no guaranteed alternative inside Rewards for redeeming points directly for Robux.

The old instruction — do your Bing searches, redeem points for a Robux card — is impossible to follow as of August 16, 2026. Redeeming points for an Xbox or Microsoft Store card and spending that credit on Robux still works, but that is a purchase, not a free redemption. Stop budgeting monthly free Robux from it.

Star Codes are gone, and the affiliate program with them

Star Codes — the cut Video Stars earned when someone entered their code while buying Robux or Premium — were removed by October 24, 2025. Roblox also discontinued Engagement-Based Payouts and the Creator Affiliate program, folding both into Creator Rewards, which launched July 25, 2025. Any guide still telling you to type a star code at checkout, or to spam affiliate links to games you did not make, describes a system that no longer exists. Steps 3 and 5 above are the successors.

Roblox Plus launched globally on April 30, 2026 at $4.99 per month. The base tier carries no Robux stipend — it buys a 10% item discount that rises to 20% in the third consecutive month, free unlimited private servers, and fee-free Robux transfers. Three optional bundles, Plus 500, Plus 1000 and Plus 2000, add 500, 1,000 or 2,000 Robux monthly. Roblox has not published standalone prices for those bundles, so check the price shown in the app rather than any figure you read online.

Roblox Premium closed to new sign-ups the same day. If you do not already have it you cannot buy it, and cancelling means you cannot resubscribe. Existing members keep their stipends — 450, 1,000 or 2,200 Robux at $4.99, $9.99 and $19.99 — but lost the 10% bonus on additional Robux purchases and the Premium profile badge on May 30, 2026.

Your First Week at a Glance

Day What you do Realistic outcome (rules as of Aug 17, 2026)
Day 1 Verify email, enable 2SV, install Studio, start a rewards platform First small payout same day; 5 Robux withdrawal minimum
Days 2–4 Build and publish a small experience Eligible for 5 Robux per qualified player daily
Day 5 Add one game pass, priced low 70 Robux net per 100 Robux sold
Days 6–7 Share your experience link Audience Expansion needs 100+ average DAU
Week 2+ Iterate on session length; keep the platform running DevEx cash-out at 30,000 Earned Robux

What a realistic first month looks like

Tens to low hundreds of Robux — anyone promising more is selling something. The point of this week is not the total; it is that Steps 3 to 5 keep paying after you stop working on them. Pick one earner that pays today, publish one thing that pays every day, and ignore anything that asks for a password.

How We Checked This Page

Every payout rate and fee above was re-pulled from Roblox's own documentation on August 17, 2026, not carried over — the DevEx rates and minimum, the Creator Rewards qualification rules, the 80 Robux upload fee and the 10 Robux classic-clothing publishing advance all came back unchanged. The dead-route findings and the Roblox Plus pricing were verified one day earlier, on August 16, 2026. Sources: Roblox's Creator Hub docs (DevEx, Creator Rewards, Marketplace fees and commissions), Roblox's Developer Forum (30% pass fee, US 18+ rate), Roblox's April 2026 newsroom post (Roblox Plus), Bloxy News (Star Code removal), and Microsoft's Q&A answer of April 23, 2026. Frequently Asked Questions

How do I actually start earning Robux this week?

Verify your Roblox email and turn on two-step verification, then run one same-day earner and one slow-burn earner in parallel. The same-day route is a rewards platform such as Earnaldo, which pays out through the official game-pass system at a 5 Robux minimum. The slow-burn route is publishing a small experience in Roblox Studio: Creator Rewards pays 5 Robux per qualified player per day automatically, with no enrollment step, as of August 17, 2026.

Can I still get Robux from Microsoft Rewards in 2026?

No. Microsoft removed every Roblox digital gift card denomination from the Rewards catalog on April 8, 2026, and a Microsoft staff moderator confirmed on April 23, 2026 that no return date is published and there is no guaranteed alternative inside Rewards for redeeming points directly for Robux. You can still redeem points for an Xbox or Microsoft Store gift card and buy Robux with that credit, but that is a purchase, not a free redemption.

How much can a beginner realistically earn in the first month?

Tens to low hundreds of Robux, not thousands. Creator Rewards pays 5 Robux per qualified player per day, so a brand-new experience with a handful of daily players earns pocket change at first, and a 100 Robux game pass returns 70 Robux after Roblox's 30% marketplace fee. Cashing out to real money needs 30,000 Earned Robux at $0.0038 each — $114 — as of August 17, 2026.
