The highest base attack in Iron Soul: Dungeon belongs to Heaven Fall at 16.5. The weapon most players should actually forge is Betrayal, the strongest light sword at 12.5 — because the game's own community wiki calls the light sword the best class outright. Below: the real roster ranked by base ATK, the best pick in every class, and what each one costs in ore.
Iron Soul: Dungeon was holding 16,893 concurrent players against 231.0 million lifetime visits, 713,000 favourites and a 98.3% like rating as of August 16, 2026. You never buy a weapon here — you forge it from ore, and the class you forge decides almost everything about how the game plays.
The roster runs to 112 forgeable weapons across six classes: 38 light, 37 heavy, 27 staffs, 5 sickles, 4 fist weapons and a single bow. Base attack scales in tight bands tied to the ore tier you feed in, which is why so many weapons share identical values.
Cost is set by class, not by weapon — and this is the single most important table on the page:
| Item | Ore cost | Success rate |
|---|---|---|
| Light weapon | 3 ore | 100% |
| Staff | 10 ore | 80% |
| Heavy weapon | 16 ore | 100% |
| Light helmet | 3 ore | 100% |
| Light breastplate | 10 ore | 80% |
| Heavy helmet | 15 ore | 80% |
| Heavy breastplate | 22 ore | 100% |
A heavy weapon costs more than five times a light one — hold that ratio in mind through the ranking below. Our beginner guide walks the forge loop step by step.
Ranked on published base attack, then on how usable that number is in a real run. Every value is base ATK before blessing, substats or runes.
Crown Claw heads the four-weapon fist class, all at 13 base attack alongside Volcano, Leaf Shock and Icy Touch. Fists trade reach for hit density and want a 65–90% crit chance, the same band as light swords. A thin class, but 13 ATK on a fast weapon is genuinely competitive.
The sickle class is the roster's quiet surprise: Twist Indigo, Hell Emerald, Harvest Evil and Burning Hell all sit at 13 base attack, plus Kiss of Death whose value is unpublished. That's a higher floor than any light sword and most staffs. At identical ATK, forge whichever your ore tier reaches first.
Corroder anchors the 14-ATK heavy bracket together with Skull Axe, Abyss, Emberwake and Doom Crusher — five weapons at exactly the same value. It out-hits every light sword and every staff in the game, and it's a realistic mid-game target well before the 15s and 16s come into range. Same 16-ore heavy cost, same slow swing.
Pope is the staff most guides name, and at 11 ATK it's a solid mid-range pick — but it is not the best staff, as six staffs beat it. It earns its spot as the accessible one: staffs cost 10 ore at only 80% success, so bring spares. Build around cooldown reduction and 80–90% crit.
Void Reaver shares the 11-ATK light bracket with Dragon Dual Blades, Rune Fang, Glyph Breaker, Futhark Edge and Sigil Cutter. This is the game's sweet spot: near-top light damage at the 3-ore cost, so you can re-forge until the substats land — worth more than a point or two of base attack.
Lucifer is the strongest staff in Iron Soul at 12.5 base attack, clear of the 12-ATK pack (Stag Antler, Verdant Horn, Root Spire, Elkheart Staff, Fellfire Staff and Night Monarch) and well clear of Pope's 11. If you want the safest playstyle in the game — mid-range spacing, cooldown builds, never trading blows — this is the weapon to chase. Note the name collision: Lucifer is also one of the twelve races on our tier list.
Determination sits in a crowded 15-ATK heavy tier with Abyss Cleaver, Nightfall, Soul Crusher, Doom Maul, Iron Revenant and World Ender. World Ender is the notable one — sold in the OP Weapon Pack 2 for Robux with a blueprint to re-craft, letting you pay straight to a 15-ATK heavy.
Hellforged Blade at 12 ATK is the light sword most players actually reach, one step under Betrayal. Strong per-hit numbers on a class that swings fast, dodges early and costs 3 ore to remake — a weapon you can run from mid-game into Inferno difficulty.
Cinder Breaker at 16 base attack is the second-hardest hitter, and the one most people wrongly think is number one. Pair it with a mobility race to cover the slow swing and it deletes bosses. Every miss hurts — but nothing except Heaven Fall puts more damage on one swing.
Heaven Fall holds the highest published base attack of any weapon in Iron Soul: Dungeon at 16.5. It is the raw-damage ceiling of the entire 112-weapon roster, half a point above Cinder Breaker and a full 4 points above the best light sword. Being a heavy it wants a 90–100% crit chance, because you swing rarely enough that essentially every swing needs to crit. Forge it at the 16-ore heavy baseline with the best ore you can farm.
If you've committed to a class, this is the only table you need. Values are published base ATK as of August 16, 2026.
| Class | Best weapon | Base ATK | Forge cost | Roster size |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Heavy | Heaven Fall | 16.5 | 16 ore | 37 |
| Staff | Lucifer | 12.5 | 10 ore | 27 |
| Light | Betrayal | 12.5 | 3 ore | 38 |
| Fist | Crown Claw | 13 | Unpublished | 4 |
| Sickle | Twist Indigo | 13 | Unpublished | 5 |
| Bow | Sky Flare | Unpublished | Unpublished | 1 |
So why isn't Heaven Fall the flat recommendation? The wiki's FAQ answers "what weapon type is the strongest?" without hedging: "Currently, the strongest weapon of all is the mighty light sword, there is simply no weapon worthy of the cost to reward ratio." The same maintainer used the heavy Crimson (13 ATK) and recommends you not take it into the Endless Tower.
The arithmetic backs them up. For the price of one Heaven Fall you can forge five light swords and keep the best substat roll — and substats swing real damage far harder than 4 points of base attack. Light swings are fast and let you dodge sooner; heavy swings punish one bad step.
Crit targets differ sharply by class, which is where the trade-off becomes measurable:
| Weapon class | Target crit chance |
|---|---|
| Light weapon | 65–90% |
| Fist / gauntlet | 65–90% |
| Staff | 80–90% |
| Heavy weapon | 90–100% |
| Bow | 90–100% |
There is still a case for a heavy secondary: its ultimate grants damage immunity during the animation, which no light sword offers. Carry one in your second slot, not as your main. Race pairing matters too — see our tier list.
Because base attack is banded by ore tier, ore choice is effectively your weapon choice. This is the wiki's recommended mid-game progression, alternating a cheap light main with a heavier secondary:
| Stage | Ore mix | Ratio | Forge as |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Verdanite | Pure | Light weapon |
| 2 | Hexbane + Bloodshard | Any | Secondary |
| 3 | Painstone | Pure | Light weapon |
| 4 | Sunflare + Fluorite | 1:2 | Secondary |
| 5 | Torbernite | Pure | Light weapon |
| 6 | Voidstar + Earthmaw | 1:2 | Secondary |
Two rules travel with that table: don't bless past +3 until the last two rows, since everything before is transitional, and Corrode is the rune to consider at Tier 3. Multipliers climb steeply above that — Voidstar 20.00 at level 26, Earthmaw 23.00 at 30, Genestone 45.00 at 50. Hell-mode ore (Darkcube, Witherite, Frozenite) carries higher multipliers, and keeping it on-tier keeps the crafting pool identical instead of gambling on an outlier.
A forged weapon improves two ways. Blessing raises damage with gold plus crystals from the Cave of Crystal, from +0 to a cap of +9 — roughly 2.5× base damage at the top. The odds collapse as you climb and a failure still eats the gold, so treat anything past +3 as a gamble; the full cost-and-odds table lives on our beginner guide.
Enchanting is separate, handled by Milo in the Enchant building, and sockets runes farmed from the Cave of Runes. There are four: Frost (slow, then bonus damage as it ends), Burn (damage over time), Corrode (target takes increased damage) and Methysis (poison ticking at fixed intervals). Gold cost runs 2,400 for a level 1 rune to 7,200 for level 5, and rune effectiveness splits 40% helmet / 60% body — so your best rune belongs in the chest piece. Gold routes are in our farming guide, and codes hand out upgrade materials — check the codes page.
Iron Soul attracts a lot of auto-generated "wiki" sites, and a few inventions have spread widely. We checked every term on this page against the full text of both community wikis. "Tartarus" does not exist — it's circulated as a dungeon or endgame zone and appears nowhere in either wiki. The real worlds are Starless Forest, Frozen Valley, Oathland Castle and the Endless Tower, plus the retired Dragon's Grave. "Inferno" is not a location either — it's the top difficulty in every world.
The material names are wrong on those sites too. There is no "Crystallized Ore" and no "Ancient Forge": the game has named ores — Sand Rock, Copper, Azurite, Painstone, Voidstar — and one building called the Forge. Anything describing a "five-dungeon" Iron Soul with names like Dragon Tombs or Time-Swallowed Ruins has lifted flavour prose from the Roblox store blurb and reassembled it as fact.

Heaven Fall has the highest base attack in the game at 16.5, ahead of the Cinder Breaker at 16 — both heavy weapons. But the community wiki's FAQ names the light sword as the strongest class outright, because no other class justifies its cost-to-reward ratio. For most players the best practical weapon is Betrayal, the top light sword at 12.5 base attack, which swings fast enough to turn that number into real damage.
Heavy weapons win on paper: Heaven Fall hits 16.5 and Cinder Breaker 16, against 12.5 for the best light sword. But a heavy weapon costs 16 ore to forge versus 3 for a light one, and it swings slowly enough that a miss in a crowded wave is a real loss. The wiki FAQ recommends the light sword and specifically warns against taking the heavy Crimson into the Endless Tower.
A light weapon costs 3 ore at 100% success, a staff 10 ore at 80%, and a heavy weapon 16 ore at 100%. Armour is separate: light helmet 3 at 100%, light breastplate 10 at 80%, heavy helmet 15 at 80%, heavy breastplate 22 at 100%. Use one ore type per craft, because mixing shifts the crafting pool and makes the result unpredictable.
