What's the current Anime Vanguards update?
The current update is Wrathful Assault, officially Update 14.5 Part 4, released September 12, 2026. Some outlets call it "Wrath's End" — same patch, same date. It adds one new unit, Wrath (Assault) at battlepass Tier 50, the 15-wave Wrath Event with its seven Sin modifiers, two new modes in Apostles Vs Vanguards and Team Battle, five Vanguard familiars and a full season reset. The patch also rotated the code list. There are 4 active codes as of September 13, 2026: Assault (100 Trait Rerolls), SummerLeaving (100 Memoria Shards), AnniNextHopefully (100 Trait Rerolls, 100 Memoria Shards and 5,000 Gems) and Prepare (1 Red Key), all listed to expire October 3, 2026. What's next for Anime Vanguards?
The 2nd Anniversary update (15.0) has been delayed, which community coverage dated to August 31 and September 6, 2026. The game corroborates it: the Part 4 code is named AnniNextHopefully, and the Classic Return banner is gated as running "Until Anniversary" instead of to a fixed date. No date has been published, so we won't guess one.
The core gameplay loop is straightforward but layered with depth. You recruit units inspired by iconic anime series, place them along a map's path, and upgrade them as waves of increasingly powerful enemies push toward your base. Each unit carries its own rarity tier, attack style, and evolution path, which means building an effective lineup requires genuine thought about synergy and positioning rather than simply dropping the strongest characters on the field.
