We re-checked its Roblox page today: the experience returns "[TITLE UNAVAILABLE]" with an unknown creator and every counter at zero, and its URL now bounces to Roblox's Title-Unavailable page. Murder Mystery 2 is very much alive, running a 7-day median of roughly 962,000 concurrent players and 29.37 billion lifetime visits as of August 18, 2026. Everything below treats MMV in the past tense, because that is the only accurate way to write about it.

Is MMV Gone? What We Verified Today

We ran the same liveness test we use on every game we cover, against MMV's registered place ID 108330297159548. A live experience redirects to its own slug — Murder Mystery 2 returns 301 → /Murder-Mystery-2. A place ID that never existed returns 302 → /request-error?code=404. MMV returns 302 → /Title-Unavailable, which is the signature of an experience that did exist and is no longer served. Roblox's games API confirms it, reporting the universe as content-restricted with a blanked name, creator and stat block.

We could not find a live MMV under any other place ID. Searching Roblox for "MMV" on August 18, 2026 returns Murder Mystery 2 and a spread of unrelated murder-mystery games, but nothing actually called MMV.

On timing, we will only say what we can date. • A group re-upload (place 128444369359104), published April 6, 2025, which reached 885,830 visits and has since been renamed by its own owner to the literal string "[ Content Deleted ]".
• "💗 MMV ༷" (place 112665328699641), published August 19, 2025 by the account mmvmods, which reached 5,380,063 visits and now sits at zero players.

The same group behind the original also ran "[🌸] Murder Mystery Z" (51.8 million visits) and "[✨] Murder Mystery X" (15.2 million visits). So if you remember MMV as a much bigger game than the numbers here suggest, you are probably remembering the 2023 original rather than the 2025 re-upload — they are different place IDs with different stats.

Core Loop & Roles

On paper the two games shared a format, which is exactly why "difference between MM2 and MMV" is such a common search.
