MM2 Tier List (August 2026) — Murder Mystery 2 Best Knives & Guns Ranked

By Money Lord — Founder & Editor | Updated: August 7, 2026

Updated August 7, 2026 — Re-pulled every value after the MM2 Summer Event 2026, added the new event godlies, and re-rated Chroma Evergreen, Celestial, Darkshot and Raygun.

The verdict, up top

In Murder Mystery 2 a "tier list" is really a value list — the weapons don't fight differently, they're ranked by trade value and demand. The untouchable grail is Nik's Scythe (only ~7 exist, listed as Priceless). The best item you can actually chase is Chroma Traveler's Gun (~220,000, demand 9). Below that, newer chromas like Chroma Evergun (~75,000) and Chroma Evergreen (~48,000) rule the market, while old "crown jewels" like Chroma Lightbringer and Darkbringer have collapsed to double digits. The current Summer Event 2026 (July 23–August 23) added the event godlies Beachy, Sands and the Icecream pair, but they're brand-new and still cheap. All values below are from community-standard trackers as of August 6–7, 2026.

MM2 is one of the biggest games on Roblox — roughly 628,690 players concurrent as of August 7, 2026, with over 28.5 billion visits and 23.2 million favorites — and almost all of its endgame is trading. This list ranks the knives and guns that matter by real trade value (not "Seers" — the community moved off that unit) and live demand, so you know what to chase and what to skip.

Rankings weigh three things: trade value (community value points), rarity (supply and whether it's still obtainable), and demand (a 1–10 score for how fast it moves). Values shift weekly with updates and seasonal events, so treat every number as an August 6–7, 2026 snapshot and always re-check before a deal. For the full patch breakdown of the current event, see our Murder Mystery 2 update log.

Quick note: Roblox weapons in MM2 don't have combat stats — every knife swings and every gun shoots the same. Tier is 100% about rarity, value and drip. For free items to kick-start a trading account, see our MM2 codes page and the Murder Mystery 2 hub.

S Tier — The Grails

S Tier is the ceiling of the entire MM2 economy. These are the items most players will never hold, and owning one puts you in a tiny circle of top-tier traders.

Nik's Scythe — Priceless

Nik's Scythe is the rarest item in MM2 history. Only about 7 exist because Nikilis, the game's creator, gifted them personally — it was never obtainable in-game and no more will ever enter circulation. Supreme Values lists it as Priceless with a "grail" demand rating (August 6, 2026), because it almost never actually trades. Treat any figure you see for it (blogs quote everything from tens of millions upward) as a guess: there is no stable market price for something with seven copies. It's a status symbol, not a tradeable asset.

Chroma Traveler's Gun — ~220,000

If Nik's Scythe is the museum piece, Chroma Traveler's Gun is the real king of the tradeable market. At around 220,000 value with demand 9 (Supreme Values, August 6, 2026) it towers over every other item you can actually acquire, and it's the anchor of nearly every mega-trade. Note the trend is slightly cooling (down ~5,000 recently), so it's a hold-and-flex piece rather than a quick flip right now.

A Tier — Top Chromas & Ancients

A Tier is the realistic ceiling for a dedicated trader. These are the chromas and one ancient that anchor high-value deals and hold their worth through most market swings.

Chroma Evergun & Chroma Evergreen

Chroma Evergun (~75,000, demand 8) and Chroma Evergreen (~48,000, demand 7) are the two most valuable chromas after Traveler's Gun as of August 6, 2026. Chroma Evergun is holding firm while Chroma Evergreen has slipped ~5,000 since mid-July, but both remain premier trophy items — the gun/knife pairing every serious collector wants.

Chroma Bauble, Vampire's Gun, Constellation & Alienbeam

The next band of chromas all sit in the 24,000–34,000 range: Chroma Bauble (~34,000), Chroma Vampire's Gun (~29,000), Chroma Constellation (~27,000) and Chroma Alienbeam (~24,000). Chroma Constellation is the one to watch — it's the rare item rising in this tier (up ~500), while the others drift slightly down. Demand across the group holds at 6–7.

Gingerscope — The Standout Ancient

Gingerscope is the top ancient you can realistically chase, valued around 17,750 with demand 6 (August 6, 2026) and stable. Ancients are event-locked and no longer obtainable, so their supply only shrinks — that scarcity is why Gingerscope out-values most godlies despite a plainer look.

B Tier — Strong Anchor Pieces

B Tier is where most high-level trading actually happens. These godlies and mid ancients hold value well, move quickly, and form the backbone of trade chains toward A Tier.

Traveler's Axe & Celestial (Ancients)

Traveler's Axe (~8,200, demand 5) and Celestial (~2,300, demand 6, rising) are ancients that punch above their tier because they can't be re-farmed. Celestial has ticked up ~300 since mid-July, making it one of the quiet gainers of the summer market. Both are reliable stores of value when you want something that won't crater overnight.

Traveler's Gun, Evergun, Constellation & Evergreen (Godlies)

The non-chroma Traveler's Gun is the single most valuable godly at ~5,200, demand 6, doing well (August 6, 2026) — a genuine 2026 breakout. Behind it, Evergun (~3,450), Constellation (~2,700) and Evergreen (~2,500) are stable, high-demand godlies. These are the items to trade up toward before you make the jump to chromas.

C Tier — Solid Mid-Value Godlies

C Tier is the working middle of the market: godlies in the ~1,300–1,900 range that trade easily and make great "adds" to close value gaps in bigger deals.

Alienbeam, Vampire's Gun, Darkshot, Darksword & Raygun

Alienbeam (~1,900), Vampire's Gun (~1,825, rising, demand 6), Darkshot (~1,700), Darksword (~1,600) and Raygun (~1,500) all cluster here with strong demand (5–6). Darkshot and Raygun have both crept up ~75–125 since mid-July, and Vampire's Gun is still the momentum pick — it's flagged "doing well," so it's a smart hold before the next value bump. These are the most liquid items in the game: easy to get, easy to move.

D Tier — Faded Prestige & Budget Items

D Tier is where reputation and reality have split apart. Several of these were once "must-have" trophies; supply floods and shifting fashion have knocked them down hard.

Corrupt — Prestige, Not Value

Corrupt is still the only tradeable Unique-tier knife and MM2's most storied item, but its value has fallen to around 470 with demand 4 (Supreme Values, August 6, 2026). The 2017 duping glitch flooded the market with copies and its price never recovered to legacy highs. Chase it for the story and the status — not because it's a top-value asset anymore.

Harvester, Batwing & Elderwood Scythe

Older ancients have quietly bled out. Harvester now sits at ~245 (demand 3), Batwing at ~43 and the once-hyped Elderwood Scythe at just ~38 with demand 1 — a far cry from the seasonal darling it used to be. They still look great, but the market has moved on.

Beachy, Sands & the Icecream Godlies — New but Cheap

The Summer Event 2026 (July 23–August 23) added a fresh batch of godlies, and true to form they're landing near the bottom of the chart. Beachy (godly knife) and Sands (godly gun) from the paid Beach Bundle each sit around ~140 with demand 3 (MM2Calc, August 6, 2026), fluctuating as supply floods in, while the Icecream and rare Chroma Icecream godlies drop from the Summer Box '26 (120 Shells or 60 Diamonds). Event godlies almost always start low and climb only once the event ends and supply freezes — speculative holds, not current-value picks.

Chroma Lightbringer & Darkbringer — The Big Correction

These two were widely called "crown jewel" chromas in older tier lists. In August 2026 that's simply wrong: Chroma Darkbringer is ~65 and Chroma Lightbringer ~60, both demand 1 (Supreme Values, August 6, 2026). They were among the earliest chromas with high supply, so newer drops left them behind. Don't overpay based on a stale reputation.

Which Weapon Should You Chase?

Your target depends entirely on where you are in the trading ladder — here's the honest path.

New traders: Start by stacking liquid C-Tier godlies (Raygun, Darkshot, Vampire's Gun). They're easy to acquire, easy to move, and let you learn fair-trade instincts without risking much. Aim to trade up toward a B-Tier godly like Evergreen or Constellation.
Mid-game traders: Set your sights on Traveler's Gun (godly, ~5,200) or an ancient like Traveler's Axe. These hold value, carry prestige, and are the doorway to the chroma market.
Endgame collectors: The realistic top target is Chroma Traveler's Gun, with Chroma Constellation the best "rising" buy if you want upside. Skip Nik's Scythe as a goal — with ~7 in existence, it's not something you trade toward, it's something you're gifted.

How MM2 Rarity Tiers Work

MM2 items climb through rarities — Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Godly, Ancient and Unique — and a Chroma is a special animated variant that shifts through rainbow colors. Chromas and Ancients sit at the top of the value chart because they're either event-locked (Ancients no longer obtainable) or rare rainbow versions of godlies (Chromas). Note that older tier lists quoted values in "Seers"; the community's leading trackers now state values are not measured in Seers, so we use raw value points throughout.

Because MM2 weapons have no combat stats, this rarity-and-value ladder is the tier list. For related knife-vs-gun gameplay context, see how MM2 stacks up in our Murder Mystery 2 vs Rivals comparison and the MM2 vs BedWars breakdown.

How We Built This List

Building a tier list for a trading game like Murder Mystery 2 means ranking market value, not combat power. Our method:

  1. Cross-checked live value trackers. Every value here was pulled from community-standard sources (Supreme Values, last updated August 6, 2026) and cross-referenced against secondary value blogs. Where sources disagreed, we flagged it rather than picked a number.
  2. Weighted demand, not just price. An item can be "worth" a lot on paper but sit unwanted. We used each item's 1–10 demand score to separate liquid items from paper values.
  3. Tracked trend direction. Rising items (Chroma Constellation, Vampire's Gun, Traveler's Gun) got credit for momentum; faded ones (Corrupt, Lightbringer, Darkbringer) were moved down to reflect reality, not reputation.
  4. Corrected stale myths. We deliberately re-rated items that old tier lists overvalue — Lightbringer/Darkbringer and Corrupt — because their August 2026 values are a fraction of what outdated guides claim.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best weapon in Murder Mystery 2 in August 2026?

Nik's Scythe is the rarest weapon in MM2 — only about 7 exist and it's listed as Priceless because it almost never trades. The most valuable weapon you can realistically chase is Chroma Traveler's Gun, valued around 220,000 with demand 9 on Supreme Values as of August 6, 2026, making it the true top of the tradeable market.

Are Chroma Lightbringer and Chroma Darkbringer still good in MM2?

No — they have crashed. As of August 6, 2026, Supreme Values lists Chroma Darkbringer around 65 and Chroma Lightbringer around 60, both with demand 1. They were early, high-supply chromas, so newer chromas like Chroma Traveler's Gun (~220,000) and Chroma Evergun (~75,000) have left them far behind. Don't overpay based on their old reputation.

Is Corrupt still worth trading for in MM2 in 2026?

Corrupt is still the most prestigious Unique-tier knife, but its value has fallen. Supreme Values lists it around 470 with demand 4 as of August 6, 2026, well below the top chromas and ancients, largely because the 2017 duping glitch flooded supply. Chase it for status, not for raw value.
