Search For The Needle is a cozy incremental game from the Roblox group Garage Games: strip a giant haystack flake by flake, feed the hay to a cow for Cash, and race your best time to the needle inside. It launched August 23, 2026. This hub tracks what can be dated about the current build, what is booked next, and every guide we keep.
What’s the current Search For The Needle update?
Index + Pets — and unlike most scheduled Roblox events, this one demonstrably shipped. Roblox’s virtual-events feed opens the window at 15:00 UTC on September 12, 2026 and closes it 15:00 UTC on September 19. A booked window proves nothing by itself, so we looked for things that moved after it opened.
Three did. A pass named Cow Pet was created September 9 but sat off sale — our beginner’s guide recorded it that way at an 08:10 UTC read on September 12. Its product record now stamps 16:38 UTC on September 12 at 499 Robux: on sale 98 minutes after the window opened. At 17:16 UTC the 2x Gems pass was repriced to 99 Robux, its third price in a week (39 on September 6, 79 that same morning). The experience was renamed too — the alien emoji it wore through Chapter 2 is now a dog.
Pro Game Guides describes a second, Dog pet with its own stat line, but that page is Cloudflare-blocked to us, so we print no numbers we could not read ourselves.
Two things did not happen. Garage Games shipped no new badge — still exactly four, the newest being Finished Chapter 2! from 12:19 UTC on September 5. And the Roblox description still reads as the original cozy pitch, naming neither pets nor an index, at our 08:07 UTC pull. The code that came with the update is PETS, redeemed on video by an Earnaldo player; our codes page owns that table.
What’s next for Search For The Needle?
UPDATE 3 opens at 15:00 UTC on September 19, 2026 and runs to September 26. Garage Games created that listing at 13:03 UTC on September 12, two hours before Index + Pets went live, which is why round-ups written earlier that week miss it: All Things How, updated September 10, 2026, still had Index + Pets as its last dated item.
The cadence is the useful part. All three datable events start at 15:00 UTC, exactly seven days apart — Chapter 2 on September 5, Index + Pets on the 12th, UPDATE 3 on the 19th — and Index + Pets closes the hour UPDATE 3 opens. A code came with each of the last two, so September 19 is the one to watch on our codes page. Past September 26, 2026 nothing is dated, and this hub will not guess.
