Anime Stars Beginner Guide (August 2026) — Your First Hours Explained

By Money Lord — Founder & Editor | Updated: August 20, 2026

Anime Stars launched on August 13, 2026 and passed 982,000 visits in seven days. This guide covers your first thirty minutes, the five free systems that hand out permanent boosts, and how to set auto-farming up so the game plays itself. One thing first: this is AlphaX's incremental simulator at placeId 122553263569744, not the card collector called Anime Stars Card Collection.

Live figures we pulled from the Roblox games, votes, badges and game-pass APIs on August 20, 2026 for universe 10697889407: 982,499 visits, 9,737 favourites, 2,996 likes against 88 dislikes, 12 players per server, and 11 game passes all listed for sale. Our own radar has only six concurrent-player readings for this game, taken August 19–20, ranging 3,179 to 3,565, so there is no meaningful weekly average to quote yet.

Two Roblox games are called Anime Stars right now. Yours is [ACCESSORIES] Anime Stars by the AlphaXStars group, a clicker-style incremental simulator with worlds, summons and relics. The other, Anime Stars Card Collection by Nova Digital Games, is a card-pack game with daily packs and nothing mechanically in common. If a guide, wiki or video does not show placeId 122553263569744, assume it is describing the wrong game.

The developer has two more updates already scheduled through Roblox's own events system: UPDATE 1 opens on August 21, 2026 at 16:00 UTC and UPDATE 1.5 on August 25, 2026 at 16:00 UTC. Parts of this guide will move when those land, and we will re-check it after they do.

Your First 30 Minutes

The game front-loads a long tutorial and then drops you into a lobby full of NPCs with no explanation. Do these seven things in order.

  1. Do not skip the tutorial. Thifel, playing on August 15, 2026, said plainly that the players who got lost in the first hour were the ones who skipped it. It walks you through summoning, equipping and levelling in the right order.
  2. Redeem the codes before you spend anything. Press the Shop button on the left-hand menu, scroll to the very bottom of the Shop window and use the code box there. RELEASE and SHUTDOWN are printed in the game's own Roblox description; the full working list lives on our Anime Stars codes page. Codes are case-sensitive.
  3. Take the System NPC quest on Skylands. Every island has an NPC labelled System that hands out that island's quests. If the quest panel vanishes, reopen it with the scroll icon and look under Active Quest.
  4. Turn on every automation toggle immediately. Auto click, auto ability, auto swap heroes, auto rank-up and auto claim are all free and all shipped in Update 0.5. There is no reason to leave any of them off.
  5. Spin the Champion banner and equip a team. Combat cycles through your equipped champions on its own so their ultimates all fire, which is why a spread of decent heroes beats one good one early.
  6. Find the Leopard NPC and do its quest. That unlocks your first relic. On Skylands the pickup is called the Hawk Shell. Relics slot into a champion as primary and secondary, and Heyyyo221's first one gave crit chance plus crit damage.
  7. Set auto-fuse and auto-sell. Auto-sell filters by rarity, so set it to bin everything below the tier you are collecting and let the banners run while you fight.
Worth joining: the official AlphaXStars Discord is where relic pickup locations get posted. Heyyyo221 found the Hawk Shell only after checking it, which saved a long search of Skylands.

Core Mechanics Explained

The loop is simple: attack enemies to earn Power and Coins, rank up when the game lets you, summon champions with Stars, then move to the next world. Everything else is a multiplier bolted onto that.

Power, Coins and Diamonds. The game passes call the core stat Power, and that is the name we use here, but the on-screen bar and the creators covering the game call the same thing energy. Coins are the grind currency named in the Roblox description and in the 2x Coins pass. The premium currency shows up as Diamonds in some menus and Gems in others; they are the same resource under two translations.

Summons and the rarity ladder. Champions come from banners paid for with Stars, and there is a separate Premium Stars currency whose summons grant more experience. The ladder runs Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic and Secret. Rimuru sits at Secret; Heyyyo221 pulled him from four Premium Stars on August 19, 2026, on an account he says on camera held every game pass in the game, including all four Luck boosts.

Three banners, not one. Champions, Swords and Gauntlets each have their own banner, and weapons are locked to specific champions. Thifel checked his whole team on August 15, 2026 and found Beerus, Jiren and Madara all use Gloves, so his sword pulls were dead weight.

Look at what your active team equips before you dump Stars into a weapon banner. Champions also carry a class: Damage, Support or Tank.

Fusion, ascension, transcendence. Duplicates do three different jobs: fusing them raises a champion's level, feeding them to the lobby's Ascension NPC adds stars, and each star grants the buffs listed beside it.

Past level 10 a champion is capped until you transcend it, which needs Transcendent Shards and lifts the ceiling to 20. Thifel transcended Beerus to level 20 that way; Noel needed five shards.

The summon side will feel familiar if you have played Anime Vanguards. The incremental layer bolted on top of it will not.

The Systems That Actually Compound

Anime Stars hides its real progression behind NPCs in the lobby and on each island. These five give permanent, stacking bonuses and none of them cost Robux.

The Index is the most overlooked thing in the game. Each island has a collection index, and completing that island's champion set pays a permanent boost. Thifel's Skylands index was one champion short, the island exclusive Luffy, and finishing it would have granted a permanent plus 10% Power. Kayc cites plus 25% energy from another, alongside potions and chests, and says every new map ships with its own index reward.

Relics. Every island repeats the pattern behind its own Leopard NPC, with Burst Shell and War Shell sitting on later islands; Thifel's Leopard quest was to defeat 10 hard enemies. Relics also upgrade over time, and Kayc's two together were worth plus 36% energy.

Auras. Every island runs its own aura gacha, paid for with fragments dropped by that island's enemies. Skylands uses Haki, Alien Planet uses Ki and the Naruto-themed island uses Sharingan. The tiers climb through Uncommon, Epic, Legendary, Awakened and Supreme, auras gain levels from experience as you kill, and Heyyyo221 landed a Legendary Saiyan aura worth 5x Power.

Guilds and clans. The Guild Shop sells permanent boosts bought with guild contribution, and Kayc's guild was sitting at plus 70% energy. Clans are separate, live on the Naruto island, and have to be equipped for their quests to progress at all. Be careful which one you wear: Kayc's swap to the damage clan cost him 60% energy while it was equipped.

Accessories, added August 19 in Update 0.5, are why the game's title currently carries the [ACCESSORIES] tag. Fuse two identical accessories to star them up, to a maximum of three stars. Kayc's maxed accessory was worth plus 70% energy and plus 45 ultimate damage, and he reckons the system more than doubles a mid-game account's Power. They drop from the Boss Arena behind the red portal next to the aura NPC on the Dragon Ball world, where the boss has one trillion health.

Two more worth a visit. The Saitama NPC in the lobby sells Coin Upgrades in three lines, Power, Attack Damage and Money; Kayc had pushed the energy line to nearly plus 200% before the costs outran his income. Titles are permanent and drop from champions.

Set Up Auto-Farming Properly

Update 0.5 turned Anime Stars into an idle game and did not charge for it. Every automation below is free.

The one limit worth knowing: you can only run two gachas at once. Thifel hit the message on camera on August 15, 2026 when a weapon banner refused to spin because his Haki gacha and a champion banner were already going. Plan which two are running before you walk away.

What to AFK on: the Dragon Raid is the highest-value target. It is summoned from a crystal beside the Dragon Ball NPC on Alien Planet, costs Dragon Keys, comes in easy, medium and hard, and once triggered it is server-wide, so anyone in the server can join. It is a 50-wave defence of a crystal, and it is the source of Transcendent Shards. Thifel reached wave 36 on the easy tier before losing, with a team he called relatively strong, which is a fair warning about medium and hard.

Dungeons and trials run the same easy, medium and hard structure and drop the keys and ascension materials you need. The Shinobi Trial on the Naruto island is 10 waves and raises your Power, damage and coin buffs each clear, but it has a hard cap; Kayc says once you max it there is no reason to run it again. Trials also feed Shards into the lobby's Auto Attack Upgrade NPC, which buys down your attack interval and pushes your attack range out in studs.

Why There Is No Trustworthy Anime Stars Tier List Yet

Search for one and you will find results. Do not trust them.

There is no roster index to rank against. We checked on August 20, 2026 and found no Fandom wiki, no public Trello board and no English roster page for this game. Nobody outside the developer knows how many champions exist, so nobody can tell you whether a list is missing half of them.

Almost every number on a champion is yours, not the champion's. A hero's displayed strength moves with fusion level, ascension stars, transcendence, equipped relics, titles, accessories, blessings, your clan, your guild boosts and your coin upgrades. Two players holding the same champion will read two different numbers, so a screenshot of one account's damage ranks that account, not the unit.

The one list in circulation is a single unverified video. It is a five-minute upload from one creator, published on August 15, 2026, which puts it before Update 0.5 and the accessory system existed at all.

The meta resets twice this week. UPDATE 1 starts on August 21, 2026 at 16:00 UTC and UPDATE 1.5 on August 25, 2026. Any ranking published before those lands is describing a game that will not exist by the weekend.

Rank on the things that hold still instead

Four properties do not scale with your account: a champion's rarity, its class, the weapon type it can equip, and its named fixed passive or title. Those are the axes to build a team on. Here are the ones two independent creators confirmed on screen.

Champion or titleFixed property
Mihawk (passive)+50% critical damage
Robin (passive)+200% attack and +200% attack speed
Jiren (passive)+attack speed and +crit chance
Madara (title)+40% Power, the strongest energy title Kayc had found
Robin (title)+30% Power and added Luck
Slime Sovereign (Rimuru's title)+35% damage
Valkyrie Edge (title)+attack damage and +attack speed

One conflict we will not paper over: Kayc and Thifel published on the same day and disagree about whether Mihawk carries a glove or a sword. Until that is settled, check Mihawk's weapon slot yourself before buying into a sword banner for him. That is also the standard we apply everywhere, and it is written up in how we verify things before publishing them.

Beginner Mistakes to Avoid

  1. Levelling champions below Legendary. Kayc's advice on August 19, 2026 was blunt: do not pour materials into a unit until it is Legendary or above, or you will burn resources you need later.
  2. Spending your Dragon Wish on the mount. Collecting all seven Dragon Balls buys one wish per 24 hours, and the choice is between an extra champion spin slot, an extra champion equip slot and a one-time exclusive mount. Kayc's order is equip slot first, spin slot second, mount last.
  3. Reading banner percentages as base drop rates. Every creator who has shown those numbers on stream was holding several Luck passes at the time, and the game adjusts the displayed odds for Luck. They are not the rates you will see.

When to Spend Robux (and When Not To)

Anime Stars sells 11 game passes and no more. We pulled every price from the Roblox product-info endpoint on August 20, 2026, and all 11 are listed for sale.

Game passPriceWhat it does
Lucky149 R$+20% Luck
Fast Open249 R$Shortens the gacha spin animation
VIP299 R$+20% Power, +20% Coins, +10 Luck
2x Coins299 R$Doubles every Coin reward
+2 Equip Champions299 R$Two more champion equip slots
Multi Roll299 R$+2 summons and unlocks Multi Roll
2x Power399 R$Doubles Power farmed
2x Damage399 R$Doubles attack damage dealt
Super Lucky399 R$+50% Luck
Instant Roll449 R$Skips the spin animation entirely
Ultra Lucky849 R$+100% Luck, the largest Luck boost sold

All 11 together come to 4,089 Robux. Separately from the passes the game sells Robux bundles, including a Shadow Monarch bundle that Heyyyo221 read on screen as containing a weapon, a class, summons and exclusive champion pulls. We have not been able to verify bundle prices from any source we trust, so we are not printing any.

The rule that actually answers the pay-to-win question. Diamonds are earnable in game, from the daily lobby NPC and elsewhere, and they can be spent on the game passes themselves. Thifel and Kayc both confirmed the part that surprises people: buying a pass with Diamonds does not remove you from the free-to-play leaderboard, and only Robux purchases do. The game keeps separate free-to-play and Robux boards across Top Power, Top DPS, Time Played, Top Damage, Top Money and Top Spins, so a patient free account still has a ladder to climb.

If you spend, the Luck passes interact with the most systems, because Luck feeds the banners that fill the Index that pays the permanent boosts. If you do not, nothing above is required: relics, auras, the Index, clan and guild boosts, coin upgrades and accessories are all free.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Anime Stars the same game as Anime Stars Card Collection?

No. This guide covers AlphaX's incremental simulator at placeId 122553263569744, published by the AlphaXStars group on August 13, 2026. Anime Stars Card Collection is a separate Roblox game at placeId 109715918987082 by Nova Digital Games, created in March 2026, and it is a card-pack collector with no summoning, worlds or relics in common. The two share a name and nothing else, so check the placeId before you follow any guide.

Is Anime Stars pay-to-win?

Only partly, and less so than most incremental simulators. Every system that compounds permanently is free: the per-island Index rewards, relics, auras, clan and guild boosts, coin upgrades, titles and accessories. The 11 game passes cost 4,089 Robux in total and mostly sell Luck, flat multipliers and convenience. Diamonds earned in game can also be spent on those passes, and Thifel and Kayc both showed on camera that paying with Diamonds does not move you off the free-to-play leaderboard; only Robux purchases do that.

Who is the best champion in Anime Stars?

Nobody can answer that yet, and any list claiming to is guessing. Anime Stars publishes no roster index, and almost every number shown on a champion moves with your own fusion level, ascension stars, transcendence, relics, titles, accessories, blessings, clan and guild boosts. Rank on the properties that do not scale instead: rarity, class, weapon type and the named fixed passives. The game also updates twice this week, with UPDATE 1 starting on August 21, 2026 at 16:00 UTC and UPDATE 1.5 on August 25, 2026.
