Updated August 21, 2026 — We re-pulled every stat, dated update 4.4.0 to August 7, and removed a block of weapon, horse and currency figures that do not match the game.
The Wild West is Starboard Studios' open-world Western RPG on Roblox (place 2317712696, universe 807930589) — mine, hunt, rob, or wear a badge and hunt the players who do. This hub tracks the live build and the live numbers, and points at our codes, gun tier list and beginner guide.
What's the current The Wild West update?
The live build is version 4.4.0, "Dueling 2.0". Two independent Roblox API stamps date it to August 7, 2026: the update's headline purchase, the Founding Father game pass, was created at 20:05 UTC that day, and Starboard Studios' own group listing republished the experience at 21:43 UTC the same evening. The in-game changelog, transcribed onto the game's community wiki, lists the contents: a rework of player duels; the Founding Father pass bundling the Springfield Musket, drums, an outfit and a lantern; a new Sawed-Off Shotgun in loot chests as a legendary drop; buffs to the Hawken Musket and shotgun slugs; new Jezail Musket colours at the Auction House; and Membership cut to 200 Robux from 249 for Roblox Plus holders.
Worth flagging, because trackers get it wrong: the public updated timestamp moved to August 20, 2026 at 16:13 UTC, but nothing corroborates a patch that day — the badge API returns zero badges for this universe, virtual-events returns none, the group shout is empty, and no changelog entry above 4.4.0 exists. A bumped timestamp is not a patch. The game is still tended, though: wiki editors were marking pages "up-to-date (4.4.0)" on August 21, 2026.
What's next for The Wild West?
There is no dated developer announcement of a next update, and we will not invent one: on August 21, 2026 the group shout was null, virtual-events returned an empty list, and no version above 4.4.0 appears in the changelog. The one forward-looking item on record is community-sourced — the wiki's Unreleased Content page, edited the same day, lists a full-length No.3 Shotgun teased on the studio's Discord earlier in 2026 and still unreleased. How The Wild West actually works
There is one currency, the Buck — no premium second currency, no bounty-token economy. Six main earning routes: mining, stealing, hunting, bounty hunting, wood cutting and town jobs. Private servers deliberately pay less — mining loot 25%, hunting 15%, robbery 0% of public value.
Progression runs through 12 free skill trees — Outlaw, Justice, Hunting, Mining, Exploration, Logging, Tracking, Sidearms, Primary, Militia, Barkeep, Teamwork — plus two pass-locked, Hitman and Doctor. They pay out cash, guns, perks and titles, not stat points.
Horses are graded in stars: 24 of them across one, two and three-star tiers, each with exactly three stats — health, speed, stamina — out of five, health on a fixed ladder from 60 to 140 HP. The Mustang ($30,000, 5 speed / 3 health / 5 stamina) is the wiki's "by far the most popular" pick, the American Standardbred ($30,000, 4/5/4) has the highest health, and the Arabian ($10,000) is the fastest in ordinary stables. Stamina is spent as discrete spurs, and a sprinting horse ram deals 20 damage.

All figures as of August 21, 2026: 339,572,962 visits, 1,626,567 favourites, 87.5% positive from 712,466 votes (623,556 up / 88,910 down). Created September 5, 2018; servers cap at 30 players; the group holds 397,655 members; the store sells 11 live game passes (the API lists 14, three unlisted).
Concurrents swing more than twofold across a day — our radar logged 1,303 at 07:30 UTC and 2,137 at 13:30 UTC on August 21 alone — so a single reading is meaningless.
