Anime Vanguards just dropped Update 14.5, the "25th Hour" update, on August 11, 2026. It's a big one: 9 new units, the Lunar Bridge dungeon, the new Gauntlets PvP tournament mode, and a weekly-cycling Rift system headlined by Astolfo (Rider of Black). The headline is content volume. Update 14.5 ships 9 brand-new units and a batch of new Memoria to slot behind them for extra stats. The confirmed Rift headliner is Astolfo (Rider of Black), and the Rift system itself changed — Rifts now cycle weekly, so past chase units like Yehowach rotate back in instead of vanishing forever. Two new modes anchor the patch. Lunar Bridge is a new dungeon with 11 floors that rewards Controller Tokens and includes its own dungeon shop for spending them. Gauntlets is the new PvP tournament: you're dropped into a randomized bracket against seven other players, with limited time to post the highest score and advance, plus replays and a leaderboard. Worldlines progression was reset to fit it, and Rebel Fighter (Gauntlet) is the new Floor 50 reward.

Farm the dungeon first. Lunar Bridge is the cleanest new source of Controller Tokens, and its 11-floor structure rewards steady clears — bank tokens early so the dungeon shop is open to you before the event rotation moves on. It's also the lowest-variance content in the patch, unlike the RNG of the Astolfo Rift.

Treat Gauntlets as its own track. Because Worldlines was reset, the fastest route to Rebel Fighter (Gauntlet) is grinding back to Floor 50, and the PvP bracket rewards a tuned defensive lineup rather than your raw farm team. What's next for Anime Vanguards?

The near-term clock is the 25th Hour event rotation and the new weekly Rift cycle — because Rifts now rotate every week, the Astolfo Rift won't stay up forever, so that's the pull with a deadline. The studio (Kitawari) hasn't published a dated roadmap for Update 15, so any specific future units or modes are community speculation, not confirmed, and we won't list them here without a source.
