Anime Vanguards Update [Wrathful Assault] – Patch Notes & What's Next
Anime Vanguards dropped Wrathful Assault on September 12, 2026 — officially Update 14.5 Part 4. One new unit, a seven-modifier event, two new modes and four codes. It ran a median of 20,262 players over September 6–13, 2026, and 37,738 were in game at 01:30 UTC on September 13.

Two names circulate for one patch. The in-game title and the official wiki say Wrathful Assault; Sportskeeda runs it as "Wrath's End" — same content, same date. We use the in-game name, which the banner art and the paid Wrathful Assault Bundle both carry. We can date it but not clock it: no launch time was published.
Is this actually a major update?
By volume, yes. By the developers' bookkeeping, no: no new version number was assigned, the official changelog still tops out at 14.5, dated August 9, 2026 at 23:00 UTC, and one unit shipped against five in 14.5. Kitawari writes changelog pages for x.0 and x.5 only; Parts ship via Discord. This is a large mini-update inside the 14.5 cycle, not 15.0 — our Anime Vanguards hub tracks the live version.
Wrath (Assault), the one new unit
Wrath (Assault) is Exclusive rarity, Curse element, in the Evils category — a unit group, not a rarity. It isn't summonable: it's the Tier 50 battlepass reward, with the Shiny on Premium. Maxing costs 271,500 ¥ at a placement limit of 1, ending on 125,000 damage and 13,889 DPS.
Every three waves it's Mind Controlled; kill the spawn and you bank a stacking +80% damage. After the third time it stops and keeps 100% crit chance. See our best units list and tier list.
The Wrath Event and its seven Sins
Fifteen waves on Shining Castle, entered through the History's Strongest NPC. Before wave 1 you lock one of seven Sins for the match: Pride allows one unit but gives it 5x damage, while Greed locks upgrades to your first non-farm unit and lets every copy hit 4x. Sloth, Gluttony, Lust, Envy and Wrath fill the rest.
A clear pays 100 Wrath Coins, or 200 on Hard where enemies carry 10x health, plus 3x battlepass XP. Coins buy five new Vanguard familiars at 1,000 each; take Saber (King of Knights) for +40% Holy and Curse damage.
Two new modes and a battlepass reset
Apostles Vs Vanguards replaces Vanguards vs Skeletons: 4 players, 5 lanes, 25 waves on Land of the Gods, 100 Wrath Coins a clear, and matching units merge a tier when stacked. Team Battle is the PvP half — both sides defend their own base over 15 waves with 3 lives.
The new season started September 12, 2026 and wiped Season 14. Tier 25 is the A Beast Plays memoria, Tier 50 is Wrath (Assault), and the tracks pay 150,000 gems and 1,020 trait rerolls for a 799-Robux Premium Pass as of September 13, 2026. No new summon banner shipped, so there are no fresh rates to quote.

What's next for Anime Vanguards?
The 2nd Anniversary (Update 15.0) has been delayed. Community coverage dated August 31 and September 6, 2026 both led with it, and the game says the same twice: the Part 4 code is named AnniNextHopefully, and Classic Return runs "Until Anniversary" rather than to a date. No date exists, so we won't guess one.
