Robux only moves one way in Anime Vanguards: out. This page covers what the Store actually sells, what a guaranteed unit costs in Gems, why most of the current best units are not behind a Gem banner at all, and where free Robux can legitimately come from.

Can You Earn Robux Inside the Game?
No. Anime Vanguards has no mechanic that pays Robux back to you. There is no player trading economy, no payout, and no reward track that converts into Robux. Everything the game hands out for free is denominated in its own currencies — Gems, Gold, Trait Rerolls, Memoria Shards and Stat Chips. Our beginner guide breaks down what each of those currencies is actually for, because they are routinely confused.
So "free Robux for Anime Vanguards" is really two separate questions: how do you get Robux at all, and how far does it go once you are in the game. The second half is where most guides go wrong, because they recommend spending on things the current meta has moved past.
What Robux Actually Buys
We pulled the universe's game-pass list from the Roblox API on August 26, 2026. Ten passes are attached to the game; five are unsold developer leftovers and five are genuinely for sale. Of those five, only VIP at 299 Robux has a real mechanical effect on progression — it cuts Special Banner summons from 50 Gems to 40, a flat 20% discount for the life of the account, and doubles Time Chamber rewards. Shiny Hunter at 1,299 Robux raises the Shiny rate from 1.5% to 3% and waives the Level 10 requirement for shinies, which is cosmetic value rather than power. The full pass-by-pass breakdown lives on our beginner guide.
Game passes are not the whole Robux surface, though. The in-game Store also sells battle-pass upgrades, cosmetic tracks, level skips and bulk currency — Gems, Gold, Trait Rerolls, Memoria Shards and Stat Chips are all directly purchasable. Two more Robux items sit inside the summon screen: the Super Lucky potion at 99 Robux and the Ultra Lucky potion at 199 Robux, both lasting one hour and stacking to a 62.5% luck boost.
What a Banner Unit Really Costs
A single Special Banner summon costs 50 Gems, or 40 with VIP; the discount does not apply to Event Banners. The published base rates are 75.496% Rare, 20% Epic, 4% Legendary and 0.5% Mythic/Exclusive, with Vanguard units at 0.005% — Alocard being the one exception at 0.004%, because he was reworked up from Secret in Update 11.0 rather than launching as a Vanguard.
Those percentages are the honest way to price the grind, because pity turns them into a hard ceiling. These are the Special and Selection banner pities as listed on August 26, 2026:
| Pity | Summons | Gems | Gems with VIP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Legendary | 50 | 2,500 | 2,000 |
| Mythic | 400 | 20,000 | 16,000 |
| Vanguard (one-time) | 25,000 | 1,250,000 | 1,000,000 |
The Legendary and Mythic counters reset each time you hit them. The Vanguard pity does not — it is one-time per banner, and it is consumed whether you reach the count or pull a Vanguard early. That single line is the most expensive fact in the game: 1.25 million Gems is not a target a normal account plans around, and no amount of Robux spent on luck potions moves it.
Most of the Top 8 Isn't Behind the Banner
Here is the part that should change how you spend. The official wiki tier list, edited August 17, 2026, puts eight units in its Overall Top 8 group. Six of them cannot be summoned on the Gem banner at all:
| Unit | Rarity | Where it comes from | Gem banner? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apathetic Savior (Door) | Secret | Dungeons | No |
| Rebel Fighter (Gauntlet) | Secret | Worldlines | No |
| History's Strongest | Vanguard | Seasonal Banner | Yes |
| Goblin Killer (Trapper) | Exclusive | Exclusive Shop | No |
| Phantom Thief (Jester) | Secret | Dungeon | No |
| Investigation Leader (Truth) | Mythic | Dungeon | No |
| Star Crusader (Platinum) | Exclusive | Battlepass | No |
| Elastic Captain (Cog 5th) | Vanguard | Special Banner | Yes |
Dungeons, Worldlines, the Exclusive Shop and the Battlepass are all playtime, not Gems. The single most reachable unit in that group, Investigation Leader (Truth), is only Mythic rarity and drops from a Dungeon. Spending Robux on Gems chases the two banner entries and nothing else on the list. Our full tier list has all four role rankings, and the best units page covers which trait and familiar each one wants.
The Free Routes Worth Your Time
Gem income is well documented and does not require spending anything. The headline rates, as published on August 26, 2026: Infinite Mode pays 1,700–2,100 Gems per hour, the free Battle Pass track pays 18,500 Gems across its length, Elemental Towers give 3,000 per floor excluding every fifth, Rifts give 750 per clear, and Boss Bounties give 500 each up to ten per day. The Time Chamber ticks 20 Gems every four minutes, multiplied by 1.5 with Plus or doubled with VIP.
Put against the table above, a steady Infinite Mode habit clears the 20,000-Gem Mythic pity in roughly ten hours of play. The complete source-by-source breakdown is on our beginner guide, and active codes for free Gems, Trait Rerolls and Memoria Shards are on our Anime Vanguards codes page — we keep that list separate so it stays current.
What Not to Spend On
Divalo (Requiem) is unobtainable. It was the first Vanguard-rarity unit in the game, released November 22, 2024, but the official wiki flags its page "no longer obtainable" and dates that to February 2, 2025. No amount of Gems or Robux will produce it. Any guide still listing it as a chase target — including the version of this page we published before today — is pointing you at something that does not exist to be bought.
Alocard (Vampire King) is a support unit now. The Update 11.0 rework that moved him from Secret to Vanguard on February 27, 2026 was real, and his exclusive Vampire's Seal familiar really does lift the Wounded damage bonus from 20% to 35%. But on the current tier list he ranks seventh on Support and ninth on Crowd Control, and he does not appear in the Top 8. He is not the unit to point a summoning budget at.
Anything sold as a shortcut to a trait. Nothing in the Store improves trait odds. Monarch is a 0.1% reroll with its own separate pity, and our Monarch guide works through the reroll banks that get you there without paying.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Anime Vanguards has no mechanic that pays out Robux - no trading system, no payout, no in-game reward that converts to Robux. Robux only flows one way in this game, out of your balance and into the Store. Everything the game gives you for free is denominated in Gems, Gold, Trait Rerolls or Memoria Shards. If you want Robux to spend, it has to come from outside the experience.
No, and this page said otherwise until August 26, 2026. On the official wiki tier list edited August 17, 2026 he is seventh on the Support list and ninth on Crowd Control, and he is not in the Overall Top 8 at all. His Update 11.0 rework from Secret to Vanguard on February 27, 2026 is real, and his Vampire's Seal familiar genuinely raises the Wounded damage bonus from 20% to 35% - but he is a support pick now, not the unit to build your spending around.
On the Special and Selection banners the Vanguard pity is 25,000 summons. At 50 Gems per summon that is 1,250,000 Gems, or 1,000,000 Gems with the VIP pass, which cuts the summon price to 40 Gems. The pity is one-time only: once you pull a Vanguard on that banner, or reach the count, it is spent and does not come back. Mythic pity is far more reachable at 400 summons, or 20,000 Gems.
